Spacious Skies Campgrounds - Hidden Creek

I can't say enough about the WONDERFUL time I am having here. I came for 2 weeks in mid October and I am here still on new years day! I love my campsite and my view of the mountains.

Some of my kids and their kids have come to visit me twice. Once for Thanksgiving and this past weekend again. I rented 2 of the cabins this time and one last time. The cabins are clean and perfect for a peaceful get away or an active on the go clan like mine. Bring your own linens. They don't have linen service and your own hygiene products, but anything else you could want is there. Dishes, pots, pans, silverware & full kitchen.

All of the kids had a great time just doing stuff here in the park. The jumping pillow I think was their favorite but they had fun in the canoes and playing putt putt golf. I think they also got every toy from the arcade game too.

We went up to Beech mountain and it snowed for us! It was a little over an hour drive and so worth it.

Most of all I have to praise the staff!!! Crystal, in the office, and Devin, the manager, both went above and beyond to be sure my family and I had every single thing we needed. They were even going to hook up two of the cabins that were being moved to new locations, just so my family could stay here again and not have to go to a hotel. Another cabin came open at the last minute so they didn't have to hook up the other cabins after all but they were going to and that says everything about them!! I thank them from the bottom of my heart ❤.

The management is always working to improve things. I haven't had any complaints at all.

I will have to go home at some point, but i will be back, you can count on that!

I have camped at a lot of campgrounds and this was one of my absolute favorite! It is clean, safe and so family friendly. There was no obnoxious people, the staff was above and beyond! Jody and Crystal were very helpful and their customer service was above and beyond. We had the best mother daughter weekend and wished that we could have stayed longer. Will definitely be back. Every camper was fun and friendly.

We stayed at Hidden Creek in Marion NC for almost 2 months this winter. All amenities worked fine and the quiet of the campground was very relaxing. We loved the ducks. I may stay there again this summer with family. The staff was very accommodating for our needs and the bathrooms and laundry room were clean.

We just left Spacious Skies Hidden Creek campground. We had the most amazing time. We went for a mama/sisters weekend. It was the perfect place. We had so much fun. We rented a golf cart which was nice for riding around the campground. Crystal was great and helped us out so much! We felt safe, had a great view and lots of laughs. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend or place. We were able to use the wifi with no problem when needed, but who wants to be on their phones when you're enjoying the views and the company you're with. Thank you again Crystal and Jodi for everything you do to make sure your campers have a great stay! We'll definitely be back.

WOW! What a change in atmosphere for this place. After our last visit two years ago, before new management took over, we swore to never come back due to the rudeness of the office lady, our rented golf cart given away even after we had deposit on it for 6 weeks prior, there were kids running the place not adults (that were not responsible) enough to be doing so. NOW!!!! Spacious skies- Hidden creek office staff were super friendly, helpful, patient, and WELL organized. Crystal was amazing during. Check in, while we were there and as we were leaving. The drive is now paved up the mountain, so no more dust, the pond was well maintained and the activities were good. All of the staff were appreciative of having campers there and you could feel that. Complete 180 in our opinion

Spacious Skies Campground is hands-down, the best campground I have experienced! It is the just-right version, having all the right amenities without any of the unnecessary ones. Gem mining, putt-putt, a lake with kayaks and canoes, an arcade, a hiking trail, and a creek perfect for kid-wading and minnow-hunting. Not to mention the camp activities and crafts!

The employees were kind and knowledgeable as well. Crystal and Jodi, in particular, were so welcoming and hospitable, patiently explaining the campground layout and planning the most engaging camp activities for adults and children alike.

We will certainly return to this beautiful property to make even more memories in this idyllic setting!

We stayed at Spacious Skies hidden creek this past weekend and absolutely loved it! I was hesitant about staying there with some of the reviews I read but I am so glad we gave them a chance! I saw nothing wrong with anything this place has to offer! The grounds were well kept. The staff were all friendly and helpful! Lots of activities to do with the kids and family! We even took some family pics with their beautiful scenery! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning!!! Thank y’all so much for an awesome weekend get away!

We camped for Moster Bash weekend at Hidden Creek. Crystal and her crew put lots of work into making sure It was awesome! The kids had so much fun! Lots of cool activities planned for kids & those who are kids at heart. We will definitely be back!

My sister rented a cabin for a couple nights and the whole family came out for a birthday party. The place is beautiful, the pool was nice because it was hot. We were upset over the slide and all the walking so we rented a golf cart. When we went to start the golf cart we had no idea how and it was so hot outside. One of the staff saw us struggling and stopped to help us. She did not know how to work it either and confessed she was a new housekeeper and used to operating gas powered golf carts. However two minutes later she had the cart going and was giving us helpful driving instructions. Later the people next to our cabin gave us probably close to 35 pieces of firewood. That same staff member stopped what she was cleaning and helped us haul all of that wood to our campfire pit. She pointed us to the walking trails, told us about the turtles we had missed completely and even reminded the kids about the games the campground was having. But she really saved the day when it was time to leave and I could not find my house key. She helped us look for it until she found it. I don't know how they train staff at spacious skies but the level of hospitality and customer service was the best I have seen. We will be back for our next trip!

We had the “BEST” customer service with Crystal and Jodi! Very accommodating, helpful and went over and beyond to make our girls weekend a memorable experience! 5 stars all the way!!!!!! Thank you for all that you did! We will be back!

Definitely being improved. All roads are paved now and grass everywhere. Older reviews are definitely no longer relevant. We fit in a 42' fifth wheel no issue. Some hills so just need to be comfortable with those

Very spacious campground wrapped around a lake and on hills overlooking the mountains. Excellent wifi, cellular pretty good most of the time. About 20-25 miles from Asheville and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Just met John and Alex the WiFi guys and they helped me login to the guest WiFi here and it’s great! I highly recommend staying here! Can’t find many campgrounds in the mountains where you can watch YouTube or listening to music while walking around on the mountain! Especially when you have a toddler who is addicted to her tablet wanting to play games and watch movies!

We had the best experience during our camping weekend. Crystal and Jodi went out of their way to help us with all our needs. It's a trip we plan to make again.

They have begun some serious renovations with paves roads and new cabins. Bathhouse was really clean. This really is a great place to take the family. There is just so much to do. Staff was very helpful. We could only spend one night, but will come back. Location was close to Ashville and hiking. Our site was fairly level.

We stayed here for only a couple of nights off season but we enjoyed our stay. I really wished some of the activities were available but it was nice to be nestled between mountain ranges and gave us a launching point to explore the surrounding towns. There are a ton of breweries and interesting small town attractions nearby. It’s also very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I bet it’s astounding during the season change.

While this camp ground is being renovated it is still awesome! Here you are treated like family!!! The owners are great! We had a few problems with our equipment and they helped us so much! We will be staying here again! I can not wait to see this camp ground after the renovations are completed!!!

Beautiful views, nice staff and a great getaway making memories with our family. We enjoyed the pool and hiking trails. You can tell they are working to improve campsites and activities for the family. We are looking forward to planning our next trip.

Did a weekend camp in one of the RV campsites. Everything was so nice! We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back again!

We had a wonderful experiance. The staff are very helpful, and kind. The facilities are clean, and look well kept after. Lots to due for the kids and family. It looks like they are putting money back into the campground to keep everything nice and updated.
