Holiday Inn Express & Suites Marion, an IHG Hotel

From the moment we arrived I was instantly happy. The front desk staff was very inviting and helpful. They got my wife and I checked in very promptly. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Breakfast was very good with plenty of options. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Of the hotels in the Marion area, I always choose this one. The rooms are hospital clean every time I'm there, the staff is always incredibly friendly and accommodating. This location is in such good shape, I originally thought it was brand new...it turns out it is several years old, it's just very well taken care of. I always feel like I'm home when I'm here.

Very clean rooms. Friendly staff and the breakfast is excellent. Coffee always fresh and hot. Love staying here.

Very nice hot breakfast; typical of Holiday Inn Express, but the lady that was keeping it tidy made sure everything was very fresh, clean an neat. She had pride in her product and it showed!

Room was nice, very clean.
These new buildings seem a little less sturdy than the older ones, you cod easy hear people above your room walking around, but it was not an issue, just an observation.

This location features easy access to I40, and there is a nice new Super Walmart at the next exit west.

We will stay here again when the opportunity arises.

Seemingly a newer hotel. During our visit, the hotel had no vacancies. Bummed, we went out to the truck to look for another hotel. Ten minutes later, while on the phone with another hotel, the desk clerk jogged out letting us know that a room had become available!

Wow. Someone cared enough to remember that we were turned away, think that we MAY be still in the parking lot, and took the time to wave us down! Much, much appreciated!

Excellent facility only 3 years old, very clean and very friendly staffing as well. No reservation showed up and had no problem booking on site in lobby.

The front desk female representative was very pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great and the breakfast worker I met was very friendly.

This is a newer location, the room was very spacious, mini fridge, and microwave. We had the king room, which had plenty of room and storage. Breakfast was very good, and the lady working was very courteous, and making sure everything was perfect. Nice hotel to stop at when traveling. Also a nice outdoor pool.

Hotel looks brand new and clean. Rooms are spacious and maintained nicely. 2 queen beds room had a sofa with an additional pull out bed.

We were in town for a funeral and we had several families all staying at the same hotel. The staff was more than accommodating and welcomed our crazy family with open arms. We enjoyed the lobby for dinner and family time we'll beyond normal guest hours. The staff with outstanding and accommodated our crazy children as the adults enjoyed visiting. We highly recommend anyone staying in the area.

I've been here on an extended stay for a few weeks while remodeling our house, and it's been nothing short of a fantastic experience. The staff is excellent in every department, with everyone having gone the extra mile for us in one way or another. The breakfast is especially good, probably the best I've had at any stay anywhere.
The management must be some great folks because happiness in the workplace is usually top-down and every single person who works here has been exemplary. I really can't say enough good things about this random Holiday Inn in the middle of nowhere, NC.
Also: right off the highway and a short distance from downtown Marion which is simply popping off; a sudden growth spurt has done the area good and it's worth a visit just for a local dessert or the surprisingly excellent bar crawl.

Great hotel right off the interstate but secluded up on a hill by itself. The desk clerks have been super friendly. The breakfast in the mornings have been really good. My only suggestion would be to have bacon as an option daily because myself and another gentleman were both disappointed to not see any out today. The beds are comfortable, the shower heads are nice and the room is nice in general. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

I travel about eight months out of the year for work and visit a lot of different hotels and motels but this hotel is exceptionally clean and neat. This is a very well maintained hotel with great customer service and a fantastic staff. My room was well taken care of every day. A very modern facility that is only a couple of years old. Very good view of marion. Very quiet with no noises from other guests to be herd and a great breakfast. I wish all of the places I stayed was this nice. I will definitely be back when working in the area.

Our suite was large and very clean, with nice amenities. Beds were comfortable, and we heard no sound from surrounding rooms. The breakfast was very good with many options, both hot and freshly prepared and pre-packaged. I’ve found my new go-to hotel brand.

Stayed here for one night last week and was very impressed. Showed up without a reservation and was accommodated quickly and efficiently. A dark storm was rolling in and the front desk let me park my motorcycle under the apron for protection. They also went out of their way to put me in a room away from a large group to ensure my rest would be quiet. This location has two things I wish every hotel had and few much more expensive ones do; black out shades and thick windows. The hotel is up on a hill and my room looked down and over at the nearby freeway. I was initially concerned about noise but with that thick glass, I didn’t hear a thing. Plus, the roll down shades are black out style and kept the room dark when I needed to sleep in after a long day riding. In addition, the room was spotless clean as well as the rest of the building. This is a gem of a stay for this area and I can easily recommend the hotel.

Review for wheelchair room. Very nice. Meets all of ADA requirements EXCEPT for the height of the bed. Please lower the bed to a chair seat height. If I were alone, I could not have gotten on the bed. Thanks, 40 years of wheelchair experience.

Easy off and on from the interstate. The room was clean. Staff was great.

We stopped by this hotel because we were tired from traveling on the blue ridge. We stopped by and were accommodated very quick.The place was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were sparkling white. The breakfast was phenomenal with variety of yogurt, bread and milk.

Perfect in every way! Quiet, extremely clean, spacious rooms with most things that you need including a Keurig coffee maker!
Breakfast wast a mix of hot cooked buffet or cold items. Very clean and all good quality.
Marion is very central to the north of NC too.
My only small grumble if any, is that the beds were not comfortable at all. My wife and I could just not get comfortable and we both ended up with disturbed sleep.
The beds felt "lumpy"
Otherwise it really was hard to fault this hotel!
The best budget hotel that we have stayed at by far in NC so far. Well done Holiday inn Express! Please maintain this standard and you will do well!
