Rib Country BBQ (Murphy, NC)

Better than expected! Many people have told me to come here to try the best ribs, and they were right. I had ribs, brisket, cole slaw and baked beans. All very good! Blackberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream for dessert was so sooo good. I'll be back!!

· Baby Back Ribs: Falls off the bone, very tender and soft. Nicely smoked and juicy. My only complaint would be that it’s so small and mostly bones than meat

· Beef Brisket: one of the best beef briskets I’ve had. Very fatty and tender, great smoky flavor and each bite is just happiness

· Chicken Tenders: very dry

· Fried Pickles: love the fried pickles, it’s crispy and sourish interior. Dip it in the sauce makes it a perfect appetizer

· Fried Okra: just as I’d expect, crispy outside batter with soft okra inside

· Texas Toast: the toast is very buttery and garlicky. I really liked it

· Deep Fried apple pie with Ice creams: definitely a highlight of the meal. The exterior is piping hot and crispy, inside is warm sweet gooey apple sauce. Topped with a ice cream just adds the perfect finish to the item

I got in at about 2 on a Wed. They seated me immediately.
I ordered a pulled pork plate/baked beans with 1/2 sweet and unsweetened tea. The tea was fresh, the BBQ was good. I ate it all.

The food was very good! I had the pulled pork and the chicken, and the chicken was nice and smokey. The mild and sweet BBQ sauce at the table was phenomenal as well. I got the fried okra and baked beans as sides. The okra was delicious, but the beans were a bit underwhelming.

Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even offered our kids a cookie near the end of the meal. We even splurged for a dessert, and I wholeheartedly recommend the fried apple pie with ice cream because it was very decadent and the perfect way to end the meal.

The interior of the restaurant is very clean, and the shirts and hoodies for sale at the front are a nice touch. Overall, the food is very good, and the service is top notch. I wholeheartedly recommend coming here for anyone looking for some BBQ.

All I can say is WOWWW! My husband and I stopped here a few years ago driving through town and wanted to try it again. It was everything we hoped for & more! Everything was perfect - the fried pickles, ribs, sides, pork and incredible fried pie dessert! Our server Mark was outstanding!! 10/10 recommend!

What a great BBQ restaurant. This was not a planned destination. We happened upon it on our way home from a weekend getaway. I had the pork plate which was very flavorful and the sauces are wonderful. My wife had the chicken fingers which were done with a corn meal batter and very tender and tasty. We very much recommend Rib Country.

I had the wet brisket to go. Fabulous flavor and fall apart good. I didn't need their sauce. Fast service but didn't realize I needed to ask for napkins and flatware.
Easy to drive by. Going toward Murphy it's next after John Deere, on the same side of the road. Driving away from Murphy it's after the Truist Bank, also on the same side of the road but you'll need to U-turn as there's no crossover.

Honestly, the most amazing BBQ that my wife and I have ever eaten. We ordered the two person feast. It comes with ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and half a smoked chicken. I lost count of the number of sides that come with it! The meat is of the highest quality and is smoked to perfection. As they say in the South, you can eat on that for a week! I have a very healthy appetite and my wife and I took enough food home for yet one more very satisfying and enjoyable meal.

Stopped in on Sunday afternoon...yes, there was a wait but it was well worth it! My husband and I both got the ribs. To die for!!! And our waitress, Alyssa, was as cute as could be....very friendly, and even though busy, she kept coming by with that beautiful smile, to check on us. Will definitely be coming back!!

I had pulled pork dinner, and my broths both had a rack of baby back ribs. All were perfect. I prefer me baked beans a little sweet but these okay.

The ribs are so good ,Texas toast and everything else also good but the deep fried apple pie took me over the edge. You need a wheelbarrow to get to the car.

My wife, two friends and I went to the casino in Murphy. We wanted to stop on the way home for dinner and I suggested Rib Country. We have driven past it many times in the past but never stopped.

This time we stopped here for dinner and glad we did. My wife and I travel a lot visiting my BBQ joints around the country, BBQ is my favorite food. I have to say this was not the best BBQ I have eaten, but it is in my top 10.

As for the review of our meal, we split the rack and a half with greens and coleslaw. My wife had the greens and said they were good. I had the coleslaw and it was large cut and plenty of dressing. It was nice and crisp with a good taste and texture.

And now for the ribs. We like then, the meat was cooked nice, they were meaty and tender. They had a good flavor to then and were served at a good temperature. My wife and I almost always split a dinner, sometimes we leave feeling a little unsatisfied. Not with this meal, we both enjoyed a good amount of food even though it was a dinner for one person.

Rib Country is going to be a stop on our future trips to Murphy.

Coming from GA to have a weekend getaway. Found this little place and decided to stop in for some lunch. Although busy, the staff were all extremely friendly. Our server was top notch. Food was absolutely outstanding and the apple pie is a must have. Very please and will be back for sure!

Dreaming of finding American Appalachian Traditional BBQ since before moving from Chicagoland.
I found most ordinary venues until I found delicious Rib Country BBQ Beef Brisket paired with delicious fresh varieties of sauces.
I can't wait to try the other items on the extensive menu.

Absolutely some of the best barbecue I have ever had. My husband and I got the sampler platter for two with a rack of ribs, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, slaw, beans, fries, and Texas toast.

The fried green tomatoes were top notch!

Everything was delicious. Our waitress Amy was top notch. The sauces were so good! We got the mustard BBQ sauce in a quart jar to take home.

Building was large enough to socially distance. Restrictions were clean and accessible

I cannot eat gluten, soy and thats why I love it here. I cant get enough of the smoked turkey and your sides. The string beans and collards are the best ive had, but then again so is the turkey. Every employee ive met has been extremely nice, knowledgable and helpful. The other I was cold in there but other than that, its a great atmosphere for BBQ or any food, its tidy and clean. Most important. Do you offer senior citizens and retired and active military a discount. 😉 Keep up the great accomplishments you are all providing.

Very nice, smoked, shredded pulled pork with choices of BBQ sauce, tasty baked beans. Top that with wonderfully flaky fried apple pie. I highly recommend Rib Country BBQ.

I have had BBQ from Santa Maria to Texas, to Kansas City, and the Carolinas. This was one of the best BBQ places I have eaten at. Amazing flavor. Great sauce, and the meat will even stand on it's own if you don't care for sauce. My wife and I split the platter, and I can tell you it would feed 3-4 easily. Got the fried pies. They are quite large. A little on the greasy side, but delicious.

We had a group of 11, waitress did a good job of taking care of us. Pork BBQ was pretty good as well as the fries and baked beans. Wife had the brisket and she said it was good. Will return for sure

Food was good, I had the smoked turkey plate with fries and slaw. Turkey was moist and plentiful. Slaw was a southern sweet style slaw very tasty. Prices were reasonable and waitress was pleasant and courteous.
