ShoeBooties Cafe

This looks like a little hole in the wall cafe. Don't let that fool you. I had one of the best hamburgers in my life there. I had grilled broccoli as my side. Omg, it was delicious. Hubby had a Reuben with a small soup. His was delicious too. Our server really watched over us. We will definitely be back here.

Early dinner. Had the lobster bisque, Italian wedding soup, prime rib sandwich and shrimp & grits. Everything was delicious. Prices were fair and quality was good. The only thing I found expensive was the fudge in the front counter.

Our dinners were absolutely delicious! I’ve never seen a lobster tail so big!! The steak had such good flavor and literally melted in your mouth! Our servers name was, Candy, and she was on top of everything and absolutely nothing short of entertaining, kept the food, drinks and laughs coming! 10/10 would recommend and ask for, Candy! We had the best time tonight!!

The food is outstanding here. It's fresh and inventive. I always get a fish dish when I go there. If they have the Lobster Bisque when you go, get it. It's awesome! It's an excellent value for the money.

I wouldn't go there for the ambiance. It's strangely designed with wooden booths all along the walls. I guess it was the best use of space, though.

We came across this wonderful little restaurant on our vacation to the casino. OH MY GOSH. We were blown away. Amazing food, quality, and service. We walked in not too long before close ( which we never do) and were met with such warmth and hospitality. Our server Tammy was absolutely wonderful and patient as we looked over the menu and took our time making our choices.

Not what we expected. It was very down to earth, but it was still slightly expensive - $30 for shrimp & grits. Ribeye was delicious. Service was friendly. It was nice to see older waitresses with experience. Floors looked newly remodeled. Overall, it was a good experience.

Food is very good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is calm with nice art hanging about and the place is clean. Downtown
Murphy is fun and walkable with the typical assortment of cafes, gift shops, and historic buildings. I had their take on a Cuban sandwich with sweet potatoe
fries - both were good. My wife had the salmon and broccoli and she stated it was delicious. Server was friendly and present. It's our third visit and we'll be back.

We love visiting ShoeBooties every time we come to Murphy. The salmon is a favorite. I also enjoy the black bean burger immensely! Tried the cucumber orzo and it was delicious. I cannot remember our servers name but she was wonderful and very attentive! This restaurant is a must!

An incredible surprise. Great food, great prices, great location, great service. Felt like a pub grub spot, but not even close... Very diverse and delicious menu. A must repeat for me, a must try for you.

They have great options to choose from. I got a Black bean burger with fries. But their Ruben sandwich is also very good. You probably can't go wrong with any of their food.
I like that the booths were not too small or crowded together, very awesome. The staff was very kind, and our waiter was attentive. He always got my drink refills on time, and the food was tasty and hot. Even the owners were helping out, which is nice to see.
The decor was very inviting, and I liked the local art for sale, while also not being bombarded with it. The bathrooms were also very clean. I would recommend this restaurant.

What a great little restaurant. The food is excellent, the prices reasonable and the portions are take home sized. Our server, JoAnn was as nice as they come. This is a free standing, non chain restaurant that is not to be missed if you are visiting Murphy, NC

Great lunch spot. I was in search of a reasonable, delicious, and filling WW friendly salad. ShoeBooties nailed it. Their seafood salad was delicious! I used the wife’s Ponzu sauce as my dressing, as their homemade Italian vinaigrette, while good, was not as tasty as the Ponzu. Wife had the Ahi salad, but had salmon instead since they were out of ahi. Salmon was cooked to perfection.

The space was open, with booths for privacy. Full bar. Imitation stained glass fixtures over each booth gave a nice, homey feel. Nice art pieces at each booth, for sale.

We were in town for an errand, and we’ll be back for a visit to ShoeBooties.

We had lunch at ShoeBooties and it was delicious. The turkey cranberry sandwich was so tasty and filling! The special quiche was also yummy! The staff was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

This place is a local spot with very good lobster bisque and sweet potato lobster and crab bisque. The lunch portions were a little small for the prices but that is just our opinion compared to other "Mom and Pop" restaurants we have visited. ShoeBooties has a rather extensive menu to placate even the pickiest of customers so finding something to eat will not be an issue for anyone. ShoeBooties as been there for over 25 years and judging by how crowded they were on the day we visted, we could understand why.

I'll be honest, my family almost walked right past the place when we saw the older style red awning over the front door. Someone decided to pull up the menu and we basically did a double take when we saw the kind of food that was on the menu compared to what the outside of the restaurant looked like.

Maybe the idea is to keep it a secret to the locals 😆 . We went in and had a great lunch, with great service, including great recommendations. Would absolutely recommend, and would definitely go back if we were ever in the area again.

My experience was great! The service couldn't have been better. The lobster bisque was excellent.

The waiterses are incredibly polite and attentive. It has a very homey atmosphere and is calm. The cooks in back are very friendly and fairly fast. The place seems to keep rather busy, considering that it's one of the few restaurants in the down town area. However, it does not feel to crazy. All the food I've tried has been amazing especially their sandwiches. As well as they truly have good fries. They have a good crisp outside that most don't. As well, if you are a fan of honey mustard they make their own. It's a good combo of sweet and vinegary.

We just ate there on Presidents’ Day. The shrimp and grits, seafood pasta and beef burgundy were 5 stars. Our waitress Nancy was the greatest.

Enjoyed great food at reasonable prices in the upstairs lounge. Great location central to downtown. Evan was our server and bartender and blew us away with delicious cocktails and excellent service ☺

Very cozy atmosphere. The baked crab spinach dip was awesome. Best i have had. The burger was good but would have been better with some seasoning which im sure you could request. The folonari moscato went well with the meal. Smooth and sweet. Will come back to try other menu items. Will update review.
