Mazatlan Family Mexican Restaurant (Southmont)

I visited, on the recommendation of a local resident and could not have been more pleased with the incredible and authentic taste of Mazatlan's awesome version of fajitas. The chicken, steak and shrimp or cooked to perfection along with the mixed veggies and the soft shell tortilla was delicious. The chips and homemade salsa is just fantastic.
The atmosphere and customer service was definitely top-notch.
I imagine anyone being disappointed, giving Mazatlan's a try.

Me and my wife has been going there ever since they open it's real close to our house He's always been pretty good but they've been getting higher and higher on the prices they're probably the highest Mexican restaurant in town now and the last time we were there they was us and four other tables and they close at 9:00 at 9:00 exactly the waiter came after my table and pointed at my ticket and wanted to know if I'd paid for it yet cuz they were closed and told him no that was rude but you just saved me some money whenever to the other tables and done the same thing and the table next to me the woman told him to that he had just say her money but I doubt we go back there after that they were really rude

Just moved to high rock lake and this was our 1st visit. Food was excellent and reasonable. Big portions. I had the chorizo chicken and my wife had the new Mexican shrimp. Staff were friendly. Will make this a regular place for us.

Great experience! Big variety, even some not Hispanic if that's your thing. We ate some basic choices (burritos, quesadilla, queso, etc) and was pleasantly surprised at both the quality and QUANTITY ((lots!) of the food. Excellent! The service was great and meal served timely. What a refreshing experience in a time where many places are understaffed. Will definitely go back! It's worth driving a little further down the road to get here.

I can't rate the service or anything else,my son got a order to go,he got me a Texas Burrito, man that thing was huge,and OMG,it was so good. I can't wait to get another one. I will be eating here again.

Oh my goodness the food here is so delicious!!!!! Its a no frills family style eating restaurant. They do not serve alcohol. Don't let its simple décor fool you. The food is great and the serving sizes are HUGE. Two can easily eat from one meal. Its so good you wont want to share so you have leftovers for the next day. I wonder if my husband will take me tomorrow?

Awesome staff and good food. The owner needs to get off his high horse and sell beer. I will be back but would come back more often if he would sell beer.
