Stamey's Barbecue of Tyro

Stopped here for lunch the other day, it was only my second time ever going but both times I have been there the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Best BBQ in Tyro! Go check them out 🙂

1st visit. Had BBQ chopped pork plate. Plenty of BBQ, slaw & French fries. Very tasty.
Comfortable seating. Pleasant waitress Nicole. I will be back. I'd recommend.

I love eating at Stameys BBQ !! They have REALLY GOOD BBQ and the BBQ plate is reasonably priced. Breakfast is good too, especially the Tenderloin Sandwich ( on a bun ) hash browns, eggs and bacon. They also have vegetables plates; which is 1 of my wife's favorites. The 2 sweet ladies that serve Breakfast are absolutely FANTASTIC and very pleasant to deal with. There is a hometown atmosphere that just seals the deal for me. You can't go wrong eating at Stameys BBQ !!

This place never fails me! Family says the white slaw has a little too much vinegar, but I don't like slaw anyway - but everything else is great when I don't feel like cooking!

The wait staff is the best! The guys in the kitchen are awesome. They all always make me feel welcomed. The damn banana pudding is as good as their BBQ and Mac and cheese!

Take a road trip. Have an adventure. End up at Stamey's. Eat some good BBQ. It's totally worth the time.

I grew up a few miles from this Stameys, and been eating lexington bbq a long time. I got this bbq and it was ready even at 9 am! No other Lexington style place is even open at this time, but getting breakfast here is a local favorite!

The homefries with ranch are amazing, a nice seasoned crunchy alternative to fries. I personally think Lexington BBQ 1 has the best hushpuppies but these are okay!

Stameys has mild bbq slaw thats good to eat by itself not too strong, black peppery, their recipe tastes like smokey joes, or lex bbq 1. I think a good bbq slaw should be mild enough to eat by itself, or dip mild enough to drink it. I have had some lexington places make it with too much ketchup or vinegar.

The pork shoulder was served Hot and was amazingly tender, nice smoke rings on my coarse chop! The smoke flavor was Way smokier than what I get at my favorite Lexington BBQ spots in town. Stameys in Tyro is the real country spot, in the middle of a one stop light town. Ive ate pork shoulder all my life and Stameys served me some of the best i have Ever had early in the morning, bathing in a hot lexington dip. They know how to do it!!! 🐷

Please try the livermush for breakfast if you never have, its a carolina thing :)

Had Staley’s breakfast 🍳 special with pancakes and eggs… It was good but I DO NOT LIKE THICK DOUGHY PANCAKES… I prefer a thin soft tenderness to texture pancake..

Waitresses work well together and someone is always coming by to top off your beverage or see if you need anything…

All of the servers are very polite and attentive. The brisket is smokey, tender, and delicious. All of the bbq is great! My family has been going to Stameys BBQ for 7 years and will continue!

Excellent service excellent food was passing through going back to Brunswick county and the food was emaculate and the people were extraordinary definitely coming back

This place has been really good for my wife and kids and I. Great food at great prices. Dragon burger ATW and loaded home fries with chili and cheese!

The food was really good. I had a BBQ plate, and the meat tasted fresh. Waitress was always on top of things and was very nice.

This place is one of my favorite. The food and people, staff, just everything about this place is awsome. The best BBQ in the county (my opinion) and the staff are a bunch of pretty women that are very nice and friendly. Who doesn't like being waited on by nice pretty women?. Lol.. seriously though it's a family oriented restaurant that everybody knows everybody and where people can come together and eat and have a nice time. Only thing I would say negative about this place is that the prices have went up( due to inflation on food) but you do get a 10% off if u pay cash so...but all in all great place

Very good meal one of the daily specials and it was very good, potions were good and service very good.

Wife calls to place order - exceptional service as always.

Ordered different meals for 4 different people with plenty of side dishes. Took order and stated 15 min wait.

15 min later we are there, foods wrapped and ready at register with smiling faces to greet.

Take food home and dish out everyone's order. Everything was there nothing missed. Food was hot. Drinks were cold. Everyone from my 8 year old son to my 18 y/o to my wife and I were filled up with 0 complaints!

Can't say enough good things about Stameys tbh and would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone! We ordered the steak sub meal with fries, 2 burger meals with fries, chicken strips with fries, the special roast meal with mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls, and broccoli casserole. Also added sides, hushpuppies and extra mashed potatoes and gravy. DELICIOUS
