Lenoxburg General Store

FINALLY!! I stopped and went inside the place where I always passed by and said , "I should stop there !" It's a cool little,instantly Kentucky cozy, general store . There's nostalgic signage all along the walls, and I'm guessing what are look, but don't touch older looking toys on top of shelves . There's 3 or 4 shelves holding various products and very basic grocery items. On the other side of that are the dining tables, of which there are roughly a dozen . It was a cold and overcast day,so I chose a sunshine table ,trying to absorb all 99billion kilvenite coming slow motion through the window ! Luckily, the lunch special was a bowl of piping hot chili and grilled cheese on Texas toast ! Let me describe it in my Kentucky French, De` Freaking Licious !! Service was awesome, and with a smile ! Bill paid , no dessert (this time), and belly full ,left a happy customer. Can't wait to come back !

Wife and I stopped in for lunch. I got the "Hot Mama" burger and added bacon to it. It was two 1/3 pound ground beef patties covered with jalapenos and melted pepper jack cheese. It was absolutely delicious. My wife tried some and said it was the best burger she has ever had. I also had a side of onion rings and they were also fantastic. Wife got "The Big D" burger that was similar to a Frisch's Big Boy burger. She said it was very good along with the "6 minute fries". Place was a little chilly as it looked like they may have been catering another party soon and they kept taking tons of things out the door. No big deal. People were friendly and the place was nice. Would definitely recommend. A tad on the pricey side.

The Lenoxburg General Store feels like stepping back in time. You’ll feel a sense of nostalgia and comfort when you walk through the door, and the service is welcoming and friendly. They have a variety of homemade food (we enjoyed a tasty breakfast) at great prices. This place is worth the drive!

I absolutely love this little gem hidden deep in the country. It's a great place to sit back after a days work and enjoy a meal that tastes real! I have enjoyed EVERY meal that I've had there so far and look forward to the next. Angela is a very sweet lady who's not afraid to give you a welcoming smile when you walk in. And the entire crew makes you feel at home. Thank God that there are still simple good little places around out there like Lenoxburg General Store.

Food is always homemade and sooo yummy and the staff is fantastic! So nice and helpful. We love to visit and try new things. Today's special was a Salisbury steak meal. Everything we've had there is great! Only downfall is we didn't leave room for dessert!

Love this little place... The owners are great biscuits and gravy is amazing.... And they sell Ski pop...😁😁😁

A great little place to stop on your travels. Strangers so friendly you'll feel like you've made it home. A true general store that also serves food. Local products as well.

Stopped here just after 8am on our way out of town for vacation. The owner was super friendly & made us the best breakfast sandwiches!! So glad we stopped (:

A lot of work goes into keeping this General Store running. The food is cooked fresh to order, the catering is out of this world custom to you and the owner will do what it takes to make your visit memorable!

I had heard about this general store and had it on our to do list for a motorcycle ride. I am glad we went. The owner shared the history of the store. Lunch was delicious. Will be back .

Wonderful and friendly staff here. I love it! It's like taking a time trip back to the 50s and 60s when the local neighborhood store was part of the community and and the customer was actually treated like family and respected. I love it!

Was driving by and was intrigued by the look so I stopped and oh boy I was not disappointed. I got the special and with every bite my mouth watered. They also have delicious ice cream. Thats why I really stopped but couldn't turn down an open face sandwich.. absolutely perfect. Loved it and saving it to come back.

Absolutely love this place. So kind and friendly really gives you that home feel. I buy my cigarettes here and yes they are a little pricey but I understand a store in the middle of nowhere has to be a little more pricey. Their food is amazing and the owners are always there which shows they really care about their business and customers.

I have been hearing about this place for weeks and just got to try it. Great place for down home cooking. Everyone was so friendly, food was very good and the country drive to get there was so much fun! I will be back!

You can't beat the food & the staff are the friendliest bunch of gals around! Family friendly nostalgic environment. I highly recommend coming out to this place, it's well worth the drive!

Great home cooking they have a lot of choices. Friendly people like being at home but don't have to clean up.
