St Mildred's Catholic Church

Warm, inviting and always uplifting with an incredible message of guidance, faith and connection to our being and how such touches every aspect of this crazy world. Father Don crafts a great message of hope and paints wonderful images with each mass. A true caring individual who serves the community with overreaching arms of support and understanding. I came to the Catholic faith over 16 years ago as a Baptist. One light, breezy Sunday morning while attending one of Father Don's first masses upon his coastal arrival to the area, I was so inspired by the message of faith that I returned again, then again.....and within a few months I had decided to enroll in the classes and to convert my faith, and being that I had never been Baptized, I chose to be Baptized as a Catholic. The ladies there at the church, along with Father Don provided incredible insight into my journey and to this day I can say " it was one of the warmest and best decision I've ever made." A church I hold close to my heart, even as I live 5 hours away now - A wonderful experience.

We are visiting the area and found this church welcoming. It’s quite a large parish too and the seating reflects this. We found it odd that they do not have kneelers. We knelt on the floor and know that it’s ok to just stand before the Eucharist but just our preference(some folks did kneel, stand or sit) We questioned the unity. All and all we found this to parish to be a welcoming community 💕

I was blessed to visit this vibrant and loving church twice recently. The spirit among the clergy and people is prayerful and generous-hearted. If I could, I would move across the country to become a member here!

Fr. Don is always welcoming. Parishioners always treat you like family. Faith formation is returning, and there are plenty of ministries to be involved in. Come once and stay forever!

Good Catholic parish. Priest is faithful to the Church and is a good homilist. Community is welcoming, and is very active. Sunday school is packed after each mass. There are many opportunities (Knights, homeschool group, etc) as well as local outreach activities.

Everyone is welcomed with open arms! Two services on Sunday 9 and 11am, Saturday at 5:30pm. Let your week begin with the blessings of the Lord! AMEN.

We love Father Don. His homilies are always on point and easy to listen to. This is a friendly, accepting church.

While on the road I used Mass Time For Travel. This was the closest Catholic church on my from Emerald Isle to South Carolina.

Father Don is the best! Always look forward to his homilies. Very welcoming.
