Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey

First time going here, and they had a great selection on the menu. I had the Boomtown wedge salad and a side of mac and cheese. They were not at all stingy on either one of them. My husband got the mother load, aka chicken and waffles, as well as biscuits & Sawmill gravy with a side of eggs and bacon. Definitely worth every bite. Our server was awesome and helpful with our first-time menu questions. Definitely recommend the food

A must-go in the area. Service was outstanding. Our server, Seth, was very helpful and attentive. The food is amazing! Everything we had was incredible. Everything from the biscuits, the biscuit waffle, the different types of gravy, to the fried chicken was very good.

This morning we decided to check this place out for the first time. Right off the bat the service was beyond great. Our waiter noticed it was our first time in and went over the menu letting us know what he liked and were popular dishes on the menu. With plenty of options for everyone I might add. But I will say if the parmesan garlic potatoes are not one of your sides make sure you order it extra!

This one is for Seth! We've been there a total of 3 times and the time between was very staggered. Each visit we felt like the most important people in the dining room;
Seth took his time to explain the menu and advise of things that were new and trending. I have to say that I'm not an avid biscuit eater but every time I've visited I had to have some biscuits! They have an appetizer that comes with a variety of sauces--you can't miss out on the homemade butter. I've had something different each time l've gone but the most recent order might be my regular order from now on. The Prime Rib entree was phenomenal, the meat just melts off the bone! We also ordered the Grubsteak, it was cooked to perfection and the chimichurri was so fragrant. Now let's talk about the good stuff--alcohol! I know every bar says they make the best Old Fashions but truly Seth can wrangle them up properly that I always have a couple while I'm there. He's great at fulfilling requests for cocktails off menu as well. That week they had this strawberry margarita special but I don't care for tequila, he made me a banging Strawberry Bourbon Sour, yup that's what I'm calling it. They also have a great collection of whiskey. Seth can't wait to see you again, you're such a patient and kind soul!

This place was better than amazing.
Andy had the French Dip, and I had the Blacken Catfish, and then we had the Biscuit Donuts with Honey for dessert.
I can not say enough good things about the food and our server, Seth.
We will definitely be back.

Yummy and unique food! The biscuits melt in your mouth. Entrees are great portions. The Gold Fever and Rhine Poutine can typically last me 2-3 meals. The drinks are always delicious too! My go-tos are a classic margarita or the Union Station.

How lucky are we that a chef-driven restaurant has moved to Boone County from their original OTR location! Eat here once and you’ll be back again. Server Seth is exceptional: he has fine dining class with a low key relaxed vibe. And the food…! GO.

First time at Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey and it did not disappoint!! Seth was our server and was friendly and made sure we had all we needed! I ordered the “motherload” which is the best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had! Other pictured is the Yukon was delicious from what I was told.

We had a great experience. The food was delicious! My only problem was for four people it was $95 and we didn't even have alcohol. I realize prices have gone up due to inflation, but it was just pricey for our family of four. Next time my hubs and I might just grab a drink and an appetizer. Overall a fun place with tasty menu items.

Where shall I start... this place is amazing! If you have not had a palategasm lately... what are you waiting on?! Service is a 100+, atmosphere 100+, food 1000+! Lamb Hash. Cod special. Breadpudding Cheesecake! Mimosas! Ask for Haley for excellent service. Hubby and I traveling for our 7th anniversary and will be back with the family! I'll let the photos speak for the rest! Food gone!

This was our first visit. We were seated promptly. Our server, Seth, answered a lot of questions and was knowledgeable about the various menu items. We did the gravy flight for an appetizer (peppercorn, mushroom, and geotta), the Yukon and New Saddle sandwiches, two eggs, and skillet potatoes. Everything was delicious, and portions were generous. Leftovers made excellent late night snacks. Whiskey selection was excellent. We’ll be back!

Amazing! The French dip was the best I’ve ever had. It consisted of pieces of perfectly seasoned beef roast instead of thin slices of beef. The salad was fresh and had lots of veggies - besides the lettuce. My son order biscuits & gravy. Wow!! The gravy had pieces of sausage and was wonderful. The biscuits were incredible - a bit crispy outside and perfectly tender inside. This is my new brunch spot when I’m in the area.

Finally got to eat at this place! Have been by a couple times before when they were not open but today was my lucky day! I had the Yukon chicken sandwich and cheddar grits which were both quite tasty. Our server was very attentive and helped with our selections. We will be back!

Best biscuits I’ve been had in my life!!! Hands down! I had to come back and bring my mom and she agrees! Great friendly staff everything comes out fresh, I haven’t had anything I didn’t live here

Stopped in for lunch since we were in the area. First time there and had a great time and really good food. My son had the Gold Shoes biscuits and gravy while I had the Rhine Poutine! Not oversized on the servings but a lot of flavor. We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the bartender. You could tell he enjoyed his job and was very knowledgeable about the menu! We definitely will be back often!

Update! Been a few months since my last visit! This place remains top notch! Got in there for lunch with my wife and it was her first time. She ordered the Wanderer Salad and I got the Barn Yard. Picture added of both together. They came out looking just the ad photos! Presentation is key and they hit it! Continue to recommend and be adventurous when ordering! You won't be disappointed!

Haley was the best server ever! So sweet and attentive, and the food was absolutely amazing. I got the " motherload" which is their version of chicken and waffles, the chicken was some of the best I've ever had. I also got the mimosa flight. Great place !

The service is top notch! We’ve had Seth the last 2 visits and he is phenomenal. The biscuits are buttery drop biscuits - your grandmother would be jealous of how great they taste.

I’ve gone three times now - it’s been consistently a great experience. I like to take my smaller kids and share the 6 biscuits with the dish of jellies and butters. I also order their pepper gravy which is a good as my own homemade. I don’t give gravy approvals EVER but this place is LEGIT!

I think they also make their own honey butter, spicy pickles, cinnamon butter, and bourbon jam.

They serve water in old bourbon bottles which is the only iffy thing I’m not totally a fan of. I love the idea - I might start doing this at home. The water usually has floaties in it. These bottles are just hard to clean. I imagine they need to be hand washed which takes time. Otherwise, if I could eat here every day, I would.

The service was just as amazing as the food!! Our server, Maria was great! We tried the spicy margarita and the chef's bloody mary, and Seth killed it, they were nothing short of amazing!! The GM Nancy came to check on my girlfriend and I and talked to us about our experience. She was very warm and inviting and we couldn't help but tell her that everything was beyond exceptional!! We tried the New Saddle and the Rhine Poutine and they were unbelievably good!! If I could give them 10 stars I would!! We will definitely be coming back!!

I would recommend it every time all the time! Food was delicious. Very well seasoned and cooked. I wish I had a picture of the biscuits, but we ate them to fast 😂. The old fashion we ordered was off the menu and well made. They had several kinds of jams and an almond butter that were well made, with a regular butter as well. Wasn't aware until the chef told us, but their pickles are made in-house and some of the best I've ever tasted. If you're looking for a nice spot to come and eat or have a few drinks, this is it. They have tables and a full bar to offer as well as outdoor seating. The tea was really good. And the service was friendly and well knowledgeable of the menu.

Five stars all around. They have so many unique options. The atmosphere really took you in making you feel like you wanted. Something warm and cozy served on a skillet. Service was great, friendly and provided information to help us make our decision. The brussel sprouts 10 out of 10. The best ones I've ever had in fact woul swap those out instead of the fries.
