4/20/23 Update - Their new menu is out and we had a chance to sample their Steak Frites (grilled Hangar steak, romesco saice, parm fries, and truffle aioli) and their Pan Seared Salmon (Fregula pasta, asparagus, English peas, baby spinach, and red pepper purée) and both were worthy of a place on the menu. We’ll definitely try them again along with their other new items). Pictures of both below…

I can’t believe I’ve not written a review for this place given the fact that it’s one of my favorite local restaurants to visit and given the number of times I’ve eaten here! Always a pleasure and Jamie, our favorite waitress and JR her manager, always take good care of us. Their menu changes from time to time and I believe they’re ready for another change this month but I always look forward to trying their new dishes and returning to some of the old favorites that customers would scream about if they ever took it off the menu - like their fish and chips - one of the best around town and one of our favorites. I also like their salmon dishes with the latest being salmon over butternut squash, sweet corn, snd spinach risotto - delicious and the only thing that could improve it would be a dash of heat to dance with the sweetness of the corn. Their Saturday and Sunday brunch is equally delicious. If you haven’t been there before I suggest you give them a try - you won’t be disappointed!

This is my first time coming here and let me say- BANGER FOOD! The food was so good here, and I may have been slightly biased since I was rather hungry before coming here but man was the 1883 burger cooked to perfection! It was so juicy!!
On the place overall, I thought it was a little on the pricy side especially seeing some of the food options, but for how good it was I’m willing to overlook it!
My other slight critique was the rather small menu selection there was, as it took only one side of a menu as the full list, but even then that’s not really a big issue.
Overall great food and pretty quick service! I’d recommend if you need a quick bite to eat that’s good quality for your money.

Beautiful,stylish and clean new place. The staff is very nice and friendly! The first visit was great,I had bean soup and beet salad and everything was excellent but we are a bit embarrassed from the second visit.We had pork tenderloin and the baby carrots could not be eaten because they were baked without cleaning .The second meal was Craft beer battered cod but there was much more batter than the fish.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy, but tried elements of every person's plate at my table.

Biscuits and gravy are one my all time favorite meals and I have ordered them at breakfast joints across the US. Restaurants are constantly trying to replicate their grandmother's recipe and almost always fall flat. What set Kitchen 1883 apart was that they embraced change in their recipe. This sausage gravy was uniquely smoky, offering an interesting take on a classic. I would highly recommend the biscuits and gravy.

Another notable item worth mentioning are the fried potatoes. They were flavorful and crispy. Everything I tried here was delicious and the service was great!

I've only eaten four times, but it's always a great experience. Flash fried Brussel sprouts and cauliflower are superb with a piece of salmon on top drizzeled with a delicious sauce. Not on the menu, you have to ask for it.

This was our first visit and we were very happy. The pretzel bites were amazing and the beer cheese was really tasty. All of our meals were great. My son was a bit overwhelmed by the large portion of the chicken and waffles and was super excited about the cayenne syrup. Super tasty. This place will definitely be going on the dinner rotation!!

My wife and I ate here tonight, 12/08/2023 and had great service. Mr. Mckibbin seated us and Cheryll Edwards was our server. Both were very polite, friendly and welcoming. They were very busy and still provided us with their very best. Enjoyed dining here and will be back soon.

First time checking this place out. Really good chicken and waffles. Half price bottles of wine on Wednesdays

Not the best location, next to Kroger, end of strip mall facing parking lot. But, free & easy parking is a plus.
The house salad with house dressing was fresh & delicious. Added steak and salmon took it over the top. Both proteins were perfectly seasoned & cooked. Wish we had room for dessert.
Our server, Connie, was delightful & helpful.
If you are anywhere around this area, come here for a memorable meal.

CauliSprouts...Best I've had. Hot Brown Dip, Beer cheese dip (get some to go too!). And those were just the Apps. Drinks and Dinner were excellent as well. Service friendly and super great.

I absolutely loved the food, atmosphere and staff here. It will become one of my go to restaurants!

The spicy chicken wrap the bartender suggested was superb. Everything went perfectly together. The desert of fried cookie dough is one of my favorite fair foods. And their suggestion of getting it with ice cream was on point!

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for great food at a good price.

Excellent food and brunch... Pomegranate mimosas were fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and drinks without breaking the bank.

This is seriously a hidden gem. We hesitated because we thought it’s just a Kroger kitchen. But boy were we wrong. No Kroger branding, no grocery store feel. Food is absolutely amazing and drinks are too. Our server both times we have gone has been Yonda, and she seriously makes you feel like an old friend. If I could give more stars I would! Ask for Yonda

My wife and I ate here while visiting the area. The food was really good and the service was really good. The atmosphere is that of a bar, which is fine for many. My wife and I do highly recommend this place for a really good meal and service!

In between a Kroger grocery store and a Kroger liquor store is this hidden gem of a restaurant which is owned by ...... Kroger! But wait, there's more. A scratch kitchen where everything we got in two meals over two different days was seriously to die for. Pork Chop, Buffalo Wings, Beer Battered Cod, Asian Noodle Salad, and their famous roasted Cauliflower and Brussel Sprout dish, which is, simply, to die for (yes. I realize I'm repeating myself). Don't be put off by the location or the Kroger association .. you won't regret it. Delectable food and friendly, efficient staff. Can't wait to go back to Kentucky to eat here again!

Kitchen 1883 really impressed me. I set a high bar on restaurants and surpassed it by a large margin. The wait staff was very friendly and the service was quick. The food came out all at once with everything being fresh and hot. The fries were thin and cooked through with a crispy finish. The Rueben was delicious and more than substantial. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Completely blown away!

Chef Chris and the rest of the gang provided one of the best gastronomic experiences in greater Cincinnati. We tried wings and braised cauliflower/Brussels sprouts (absolutely WOW!) for appetizers.

We ordered their freshly battered fried cod, which just knocked out DeSha's for fish n chips. Order their scrumptious remoulade! You won't be disappointed. I ordered their Reuben - a bit of a twist with corned beef and turkey with Russian dressing. Again, order the remoulade. I was completely satisfied! I heard from an adjacent table how wonderful the blfgt (bacon, lettuce, fried green tomato) wrap was, but can't verify til next trip.

They were packed for a Thursday lunch. Yet it still felt quaint. They set a friendly mood through their southern ecoutrements and hospitality.

Thoroughly satisfied, I will make this trek repeatedly!

I enjoyed my time at this little restaurant in Kroger. Just don't go in prepared to spend less than 20 dollars. The waiters were very kind, energetic, and fun. It was dimly lit, but that was nice due to being in the harsh sun all day. The food was delicious. I was very impressed by the quality of the sandwich I received.

This place is awesome! My fiancée and I haven't had a bad meal or drink here yet. We'll definitely keep coming back. The wrap with black beans in it is probably our favorite at this point. Their brunch is also awesome! UPDATE: since Google asks me to update my reviews. This place is still great! You won't be disappointed.

Good food and friendly service from Lauren. Great wine promos and the berry brownie dessert was amazing.
