Tru by Hilton Columbia Greystone

I give this place an overall 5 stars, the only thing I would complain about were the beds, they weren't as comfortable as I would have liked them to be.. kinda on the hard side and the pillows were too hard... But listen!!! This place is so nice!!!! I love the gym they have the perfect amount of equipment to enjoy a workout, the lobby area was so cool!!! The decor(perfect spot for pictures) games room/computer room very well set up. The coffee being available all nice was lovely and convenient. The only thing missing really was a pool, I really wanted one of those...The breakfast was really good, I loved the pancakes, grits and bacon the most. The Hotel was very clean and well designed, it was small but I was able to do what I needed to do. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Lisa on the evening shift at the front desk is AWESOME! I was so glad to see her--we chose this hotel (because of her) for a second time, when in town for soccer tournaments. The other staff members were super friendly as well, and the breakfast crew were great keeping all the food stocked. Definitely recommend this hotel.

I had a really good experience. The lady at the front desk had so much energy and she was so willing to help I couldn't even believe it. there was a mistake when I pre booked the hotel, the lady at the front desk corrected it very quickly. I was checked in very fast. I really really really love the front check-in area. there is a pool table. there is a mini bar that is open pretty much all night long. there's really nice snacks. there's hot meals that you can purchase and cook. Me being a traveling DJ this is definitely a great hotel to stay at in a really good price.

Very pleased with our recent stay! We are almost always Marriott guests but decided to stay at Tru this past trip. Everything was great. Treats and toys for our dog, yummy hot breakfast and very clean, nicely appointed room. All staff members were pleasant and helpful. I want to make note that Marco was exceptional! Knowing that I run, and our last day was very rainy, he said he’d make sure the gym/treadmill was extra clean for me! He was always kind to me and my dog during our stay!

Have stayed a few times over the last couple month. Rooms are clean, breakfast is good. They have board games, a pool table, dog treats, and dog toys in the lobby. Any issues are resolved quickly. Most of the front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Very clean, conveniently located, easy to find, and surrounded by amenities. Stopped here for one night during a roadtrip and it was very comfortable for a quick stay. It was actually the best hotel breakfast we had because of the pancake machine. Highly recommend staying here!

I travel for work and have stayed here for several weeks and everything is great! Rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and Lisa from the front desk is amazing! Always friendly and helpful!

I ALWAYS read reviews when booking a hotel for the night. This was a nice clean stay. I really enjoyed quiet New Year’s Eve stay. Check in was quick and painless. I had a double queen an it was nice an clean for a hotel. Will be back.

I ended up at Tru because I did not like the original hotel I'd booked. I was trying to find a new hotel while also rushing to meet a friend for dinner and Tru was right down the street. Turned out to be a great decision. The staff was very friendly. I had no security concerns. The room was clean. And the wifi was fantastic.

It was an unforgettable experience, the compliance and attention of the staff was very good, recommended as this place to rest and fill yourself with a lot of energy.

Had the pleasure of staying here while attending a wedding. From the very beginning, Lisa, Brittany, Anselmo just to name a few were beyond friendly and helpful! The place was so clean you could eat off the floor! The rooms were great as well; you didn’t feel like a hotel room but a mini studio apartment! And my god the bathroom is so nice! Pardon our mess and terrible pics but just a sneak peek 👀 We decided from the first hour we are switching our business to Hilton!!

After a last minute Airbnb cancellation we decided to stay here and use my points. We were expecting to have an Airbnb with a full kitchen, so we had to fill our cooler with ice at the hotel to keep his formula cold. The hotel was very clean and was easy to drive to and find a parking space. The breakfast was tasty and replenished well. We had a 4 month old, so it was a bit of a tight squeeze with a pack and play in a king size room. The TV and cooling system worked well. The shower was clean, water pressure was perfect, it heated up quickly. We ended up close to the zoo which was our plan for the day we checked out.

This hotel was perfect for our overnight trip to see a show in Columbus. The staff was friendly, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast hit the spot. The staff kept breakfast well maintained and didn't put pressure on the guests at the end of the breakfast time when they were still waiting for the Pancake machine ( which is fun to watch, but can seem like watching paint dry when you have a long line). I have been in hotels before that try to clear out everything as you are standing in line. This staff was courteous and efficient. Thank you!

The absolute BEST part of this entire stay was the staff members!! The front desk staff is so sweet and they take every guest’s satisfaction so seriously.
Lisa happily checked us in. She was thorough and kind. She has a professional demeanor, but with charm and care. She kept sanitizing surfaces and asking if her help was needed as we sat in the lobby area.
Tiffany was excellent with providing us with great guest support. She asked again and again what she could do for us to make sure our room was held to a very high standard. She stopped what she was doing just to run downstairs and retrieve things for us. She keeps a smile on her face and has a heart for great customer service.
Also, Elmo is amazing!!! I have never seen someone work so diligently at keeping the grounds disinfected and sanitized. From the time I checked in, I witnessed him cleaning, checking on guests, and inspecting surroundings to see if he could improve anything. I had to give him a special shout-out because I’ve never witnessed a hotel staff member work so hard to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. Cleanliness adds to comfort, so hats off the to Elmo!

Surprisinglly good. In 2023 the hotel was only 3 years old. Very modern atmosphere. The area around is another story... Be cautious. We were coming from Smoking Mountain to Miami, and after 6 hours driving, at 10pm, this hotel was perfect. So, for 1 night was perfect. I imagine, it is perfect for workers also, due reasonable price (US$150) per night.

Stay HERE! I was in Columbia for a week due to work. I had colleagues that stayed just a stone's throw away in a bigger, "fancier", and more expensive hotel. My experience was WAY better than theirs. Every single staff person was helpful and friendly. The lobby, gym, and rooms were colorful, comfortable, and very welcoming. I walked into my room on day 1 to find really modern decor and everything was so clean and bright. The toiletries provided in the room smell amazing, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. Stand up shower was perfect with perfect water pressure--I want one just like it at home. It was hot and humid and the air conditioner was more than effective. Huge television, plenty of outlets, adequate storage and hangers for my work clothes, small fridge, iron, blow dryer (microwave in lobby). The breakfast each day was good and there were plenty of options. I came back to my room after my first day of work to find my bed made, trash taken out, and fresh towels in the bathroom. I typically opt out of housekeeping if I stay somewhere for multiple nights, but it was such a great way to end my day. I felt spoiled! If the housekeeping staff passed me in the hall, they asked if I needed anything. I used the gym a couple of times. It had quite a few options as far as equipment and was very clean. This part of town doesn't have quite as many options for shopping, food, and activity but it seemed like anytime I went somewhere for food, it only took 10 minutes to get there. Downtown Columbia is only 10 minutes away. Within a few miles of the hotel were some kind of sketchy places but I never felt unsafe in the hotel or parking lot at all. If I'm back in the the area I will definitely stay here! Maybe one of the cleanest and most comfortable (and attractively decorated) hotels I've stayed at and priced reasonably as well!
