Holiday Inn Columbia - Downtown, an IHG Hotel

My experience was amazing. Shout out to the staff. We had a slight hiccup in my room with a wet spot but within 24 hours GM Jody made everything right for my family and I. Will definitely stay again! They do customer service right

The room was nice. I stayed in the premium king room and the wrap around windows were awesome. The hotel is much smaller than its neighbors which I enjoyed it was quiet and checking in was a breeze. The Radisson next door had at least 20 cars backed up in the street waiting for check in. We stayed here for a concert at Colonial Life Arena. The area is just under a mile away and was an easy walk. We made the walk after the concert even at 11pm. The route was not through any dangerous neighbors and was well lit. There were also plenty of other walkers and police in the area.

I'm very picky about room cleanliness, but this room was very clean. Yes, there's outside noise, but there's a hospital nearby so you will hear sirens. Sanitation pick up occurred on Sat night, but after 20 minutes they were gone. This has nothing to do with the hotel itself. The staff were awesome...they've got the welcome speech down pat and literally answered all questions, to include parking (the only complaint I have is the 3 car space for unloading). Great room, great staff,great location 👍

Omg. This hotel is so good that you will feel that warm welcome from the lobby entrance itself. When was the last time a lobby smell that good, never! Rooms were so spacious and nicely layed out and location was great. I highly recommend this space. Thank you for making my stay so comfy. See ya all soon!

Such a clean, friendly environment.
The room was extremely clean, they provide everything for you, and the staff is so nice, courteous and extremely helpful. Not a lot of people that work in hospitality go above and beyond now a days and everyone that was working each day ere so kind. I would definitely come back here. I highly recommend!

We rolled into town to see the University of South Carolina..this hotel is the place to stay!..rooms clean..
Rooms comfortable..food..Excellent..bar..amazing.
Staff..made us feel like family!..if we become part of the gamecock family..this hotel will be our mainstay!..ps.
The sketchy alley that you need to walk through after parking your car in the super cheap parking garage 13 dollars a night (city) that everybody whines about is well lit..cameras everywhere..and is literally 100 ft from the hotel!..non issue!!

Booked over the phone with Reagan. Did not know what to expect. Was very pleased with the location. Rooms were nice, modern and clean. Loved the shower. Wanted to take it home with me. Lol. Breakfast was good. Nice sitting area outside. Paid for parking. But that is everywhere here. It was a walk but you can pull right up to the door at the front to load and unload. Close to EVERYTHING. We liked this hotel, downtown is so cool. Will be back for a destination vacation. So much to see and do. Thanks Holiday Inn and staff. 👍

Location: 10/10! You can walk everywhere!
Room: We got a double queen premier with a tub and it was perfect. It feels bigger than a King room!
Service: Amazing. The front desk staff are so helpful and nice. We had a great 2- night stay here!
Only problem: no lids on the toilets so if you don't want fecal spray on your towels, move them to the closet.
Beds + pillows: soft and comfy!
Oh and guess where the Temptations stayed while they were in town? Yup! HERE! That was a pretty cool surprise 😊

Really nice hotel. I got a bad room at first and front desk took care of me. Was very pleased with my stay. I had friends staying next door in the Sheraton therefore I can vouch this was cheaper and way nicer.

Great location- very close to everywhere we went during the weekend! The lobby and bathroom were super clean and the bed was cozy and comfortable. Decor was cool and modern- unique from any Holiday Inn I've ever seen! The staff was always friendly and did a great job of giving recommendations for the area. 10/10 would stay again.

I want to give a big thank you to Olivia she was wonderful through your our stay. Also did great at following up with our child’s squirtle doll that we forgot! Thank you Olivia also the lady who cooks at night was very nice . But all in all everyone here was awesome. Thanks you !

Very friendly staff. Hotel was a heavy renovation that made the room nice and relaxing and the bathroom very modern. Breakfast was reasonably priced and was worth the money. But be prepared for "city" parking. You'll want to purchase the self parking for your stay. The self parking is a some what convoluted process. Ot involves you using a second key you get from the hotel and driving to the alley next to hotel. You'll have to use that second key to access that parking garage and then walk back to the hotel (about 200 foot walk). Once you do it though, you pick it up the process quickly. Traffic in front of the hotel was quite light as well, making maneuvering in front of or to the parking garage relatively easy.

Hotel was very nice and clean, bathrooms were amazing. People here are very welcoming. The bed is so comfortable, pillows are amazing!!! The bar is nice! I wasn’t able to drink but it was very well put together. It has a wonderful seating outside! The gym is very nice and clean for anyone worried because of covid! Breakfast is the best! Food is delicious! Would definitely come here again if it’s needed!! I recommend !!!

We stayed here this past weekend to attend a concert at the Township Auditorium. It was a nice clean place to stay with friendly staff. We took an Uber to and from the concert and pickup here was not an issue. Food is within walking distance. Parking is in the adjacent parking garage. It does have valet parking. We did not use it, but it would be worthwhile. They can get your car to you sooner, as valet can park closer to the hotel.

Dillon runs the front of house. If your looking for the best service at a hotel. Look nowhere else this guy should own his own place. The best service ever and I travel for a living. And I never write reviews. Just compelled because over the top great experience.

Ideally located in the heart of downtown and a couple blocks away from the state house and many restaurants to choose from.
