great friendly service. there mat be a line but it moves fast! great team of employees working there!

I make it a point to use self service since I suffer from Social Anxiety and was Embarrassed once by one of the clerks there at the counter

I appreciate how convenient it is to have this branch located just a few blocks away from my place. The employees at that location are all welcoming and supportive.

Main Branch. ALL Mail goes through here SC Main processing center. Has drive thru for mail (not packages) in front. Can just pull up & offers Mon-Sat pickup from these two separate mailboxes. Sometimes inside there may be more customers than agents; however, they are FULL SERVICE FACILITY. Also have spot to get a passport picture! Can't go wrong for specific needs.

I visited the United States Post Office located at Assembly Street, Columbia SC December 29, 2021. The lobby was packed when I got there and when I left. During my time in line I was able to watch a young lady assist customers and I had the pleasure of being waited on by the same lady. Her name is Natalie and she could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Natalie, thanks for being so kind and helpful to me and the other customers you assist.

Btw, for reviews that talk about not answering the phone, they don't have phones. Phone calls go to the main center which is in a different state.

I always have a great experience at this post office, and the workers are always friendly and helpful! I regularly watch these postal workers endure psychotic encounters with customers who raise their voices and get irritable and insane over petty things like long lines the day before taxes are due or the day before Christmas. It's your fault for waiting til the last second, folks. Somehow the post office brings out the worst in humanity and I always feel bad for the postal workers who have to deal with these crappy people all the time. Service is always as efficient as it can be at this location, and the building is beautiful!

I'm not sure it's really 5 stars, but I am trying to even out the average relative to some of the bad reviews. I have used this post office for 6-7 years now. I can say that I'd give it 3 stars, and that I find it to be no worse than any other post office. All post offices with USPS are struggling it seems in terms of keeping the lines from getting extravagantly long etc., which is to be expected given how much funding has been cut. The staff at this location have always been polite and courteous, which I think is impressive given that they likely spend most of the day everyday dealing with frustrated customers who are annoyed with having stood in line for a while, etc.

Had about 8 people in front of me during lunch time. Workers churned us through quickly. Overall really good experience and mailed out what I needed to without any issues.

Excellent staff. Very efficient and works as quickly as possible. Only complaint is parking. It seems employees are parking in the customer parks. Service and hours have been cut at outlying branches and this post office has seen a tremendous increase in traffic. Passport services are at a very high level. IT IS HARD TO FIND A PARKING SPACE. I am a daily user of this post office branch and know first hand.

I see some negative reviews but my experience has been positive. Very patient helpful staff.
Someone posted a review that they arrived prior to five and the door was locked. Maybe it was a holiday and they were closed? I have never seen them lock doors early so I suspect customer error on that.

This post office is amazing. I haven't had any issues with this place. They make sure my packages and mail are delivered on time and safe.

I wish all postal services in other countries would work as well. The people who serve are lovely

Fast, friendly service. I'm sure it can get busy, but was quick and easy to send a package when I went.
