Best brunch !!! The hash browns hangover were amazing. The portion sizes were good and the service was up to mark. If you are going for a brunch be prepared for the wait time but it will be totally worth it in the end.

Such a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The service was great and the food was amazing. The menu has so many choices and I can't wait to go back and try something else. I had the chicken and waffles and highly recommend if you like savory and sweet.
Coffee is self serve so you can make it just how you like and get refills as often as you want.
There is lots of local art on the walls and it feels comfortable inside. Plenty of free parking on the street or behind the restaurant.

Great meal every time we go! I ordered sunrise burrito with sausage, half order of hangover hash browns and a slice of their French toast. Husband got their crab eggs Benedict. Everything was wonderful as always! And friendly staff!

Restaurant is 5/5. My first time coming here a few years ago with my best friend and it gets better over time! Food is fresh and always delicious, I try something new each time! Waitress was super nice! Location is so convenient if you’re in the west Columbia and downtown area! My favorite part is the open coffee bar!

Soooo I got the salmon and grits. My go to even at home. It was soooo good, but I could’ve gone without the Chardonnay caper sauce. It’s not that it wasn’t tasty, but it was too tangy. But the grits were cheesy and creamy and sooo yummy! The staff is super cool as well. Great first try

Eclectic, funky, family-friendly and fun! While you’re waiting, grab a book from the cute free little library in front of the building.

This place is jumping on the weekends for brunch and the food is amazing. From the service to the tunes and the local art for sale, I enjoyed my visit to Cafe Strudel. I’ll be back!

Hopping breakfast/lunch joint in a cool little building in a quaint section of west Columbia. Fast and friendly service, serve yourself coffee bar, and really good food. The brisket omelet I had was one of the best omelets I've ever had. We will definitely be back!

The food here is amazing! They definitely make use of the space so it is a little cramped but the food and service makes up for it. Open coffee bar is awesome. Plenty of options on the menu for everyone. The croissants were delicious and I already want to go back for the hangover hashbrowns. My kids loved their pancakes and my husband wants more of the French toast

First off thank you, I enjoyed my dinning experience. The service was on point and the food cook exactly to order. Ordering a Over Medium well egg and it was perfect, on the Brisket and biscuit. The open coffee bar, is brilliant and taste awesome.

This is a Five star experience, so if your in Columbia, make this stop and enjoy.

Ive lived in columbia the past 7 years and this is consistently one of my favorite places to get brunch. Their hangover hashbrowns are my favorite, and as their name suggests, are perfect for a Sunday morning hangover 😊 alaric at the bar is one of the best bartenders and is always so inviting and kind. He also makes the best spicy bloody marys!! Yes the wait is usually around 30-1hr, especially on the weekend, but its 100% worth it. Service and food is top tier!!

My wife and I went last Sunday when just opened. It was our first time.

Observed 3 young gals trying to squeeze-in at front of the line, squashed their hopes quickly and embarrassed them.

Food was wonderful, service was professional and attentive.

Very busy but managed very well!

Look forward to returning.

Cafe Strudel is a Columbia brunch staple. I had an awesome experience. I ordered the smoked salmon omelette with a mango peach mimosa and a side of hash browns. Everything was delicious. I was seated quickly. My waiter was very friendly and courteous. I will definitely be coming back.

The homemade croissants and coffee bar is what got me in. What I didn't expect was getting a restaurant quality steak at a Cafe. It was the best steak I have eaten, better than in any steakhouse. Cooked perfectly, tender, melt in your mouth. The sour dough bread, croissants, all are top notch. You don't even need butter. The coffee bar is fun. You get to pick your own mug and fill it with as much coffee as you want. Their coffee is really good and in fact you can purchase it if you really enjoy it. It is always packed so plan on waiting a little. This place isn't really handicap ready and no strollers will fit either. It is inside an old building which make for a wonderful atmosphere but also some hurdles. Certainly a must try.

This place is amazing. From the delicious duck fat fries to the seafood mac and cheese, this place offers delicious dish after delicious dish. The prices are great and the portions are even greater.

They have some unique flavors and dish combinations which makes for some twists on regular dishes. They offer nice outdoor seating and a very laid back atmosphere. A must stop for locals and visitors!

We were visiting family in Columbia and looked for a brunch spot, and were we ever glad we happened upon Cafe Strudel. The vibe is modern eclectic Southern, and nothing about our visit disappointed. We started with a pitcher of the Paloma Mimosas, which were both potent and delicious. We tried the Low Country Hash browns and Brisket Hash with the addition of a biscuit and single piece of the Hawaiian Pineapple French Toast.

All I can say is wow. The brisket was thinly sliced, tender, and well seasoned. The sweetness of the roasted bell peppers and onions mixed with the crispy bits of hash brown and the creamy queso made this dish worth every penny and truly a delight.

The fried green tomatoes on top of the low country has were perhaps a tad underseasoned, but their texture was on point (not mushy at all with a nice bite), and the pimento cheese seemed to have a touch of horseradish - a tasty surprise. The shrimp were sweet and well cooked.

The biscuit was just a little past done - slightly too dark for perfection, but it was fluffy underneath the crispiness and not dry in the slightest. And wow to the French toast - sweet, salty, custsardy, soft, and crispy deliciousness.

Overall the only bad part of the whole experience was their quirkiness of using mismatched silverware had me using a baby fork that I was able to switch with my partner who likes small ones. But yeah, what a great spot for a Saturday brunch. Highly recommend!

Had the hangover hash browns and they were great. The coffee is included with the meal from a coffee bar with several options. I arrived shortly after the opened and the place was 1/4 full, so you better get here early.
My hash browns came with sour cream, not sure why since it didn't do anything for me.
My wife had bacon and it was thick and well done. My daughter says the restaurant is a Columbia staple.
