Graduate Columbia, S.C.

I had a lovely one night stay here when college visiting USC with my daughter. I had to cancel the second night unexpectedly and they went out of their way to work with my booking company to ensure I would be refunded for the second night. It’s the place to stay in terms of location and ease of accessing campus and the surrounding area.

Stayed here for an overnight stay. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and friendliness of the staff. Front desk worker was extremely nice and helpful. The location and proximity to campus is very convenient. Love the style of Graduate hotels and how they choose to represent the universities they are by

Not the normal hotel vibes, which is great. The decor/environment was amazing. Everything was very clean. The staff was wonderful. At the front desk Victoria checked us in she was so sweet and helpful! Ryan at the bar made great drinks and was super helpful as well!

We really liked this Hotel. The rooms are nice and spacious. The location is awesome (near USC campus and downtown Columbia). The Graduate has a friendly and casual vibe. One pet peeve...the amenity fee, I personally prefer when that is baked into the rate. We had an enjoyable stay.

Sam offers exceptional service, witty conversations and charm behind the bar. He could improve on his Rock Paper Scissors tournaments, but other than that many thanks for staying open late often to service the Hamilton Company!!

Spent two night at the Graduate in Columbia, SC and felt like I was living at the Biltmore! Staff very friendly. Walked to nearby USC student art galleries as well as the State House. Restaurants nearby. Hotel has its own Trophy Room restaurant and bar. Food choices varied and tasty. Guests provided with complimentary tickets for coffee. Extra $20/day charge for parking. Plan to visit other Graduate Hotels on their many college campuses.

I've stayed here twice and enjoyed it both times. It's clean and quiet and has a lot of style. The restaurant is not the same as some chain hotels with the free breakfast, but I had breakfast there once and it was good. They make it when you order it, so it took a little longer than your typical breakfast buffet doesn. The rooms are very nice and the hotel is very close to most places at the university. My wife liked this hotel and so did my daughter. They have snacks and drinks you can buy downstairs by the check-in desk. The check-in staff are usually current or former students so if you are touring or new to the school, it's nice in that you can ask basic questions like good places to eat in the area.

If you are looking for a hotel that is both stylish and affordable, then the Graduate Hotel is the perfect place for you. This charming hotel is located by the University of South Carolina, and it offers easy access to all of Columbia's attractions, especially if you take advantage of the loaner bikes that are available.

The Graduate Hotel is housed in a historic federal-style redbrick building that has been beautifully renovated. The hotel's rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they are decorated from floor to ceiling with a mix of vibrant finishes and furnishings. The vintage-style rooms have Gamecock-themed headboards and all the amenities you could ask for.

There is also a hip, retro-inspired bar that is worth a visit for their fantastic cocktails and friendly conversation that flows freely between staff and other guests.

Great service, right by downtown, and one of the quietest rooms I’ve ever stayed in

We loved everything about our room, stay and the staff at the Graduate, Columbia! The beds and pillows were comfy, the staff was so very friendly and the decor was playful and colorful! We were travelling with our pup and he was provided dog treats, a graduate bandana and a door banner to notify housekeeping there was a pet in the room. Our room was very clean and spacious for a king traditional.

The Graduate provides a fantastic stay, especially for USC alums. After checking in on a Sunday afternoon, we walked around the Horseshoe, then enjoyed drinks in the laid-back Trophy Room (check out those chicken chair arms). Kudos to Alycia, who crafted excellent Gamecock Sodas and Old Spur Fashioneds for us. The rooms were delightfully decorated with Gamecock/rooster/hen themes, from lamps to headboards, and the bed was very comfy. It’s great to have a place like this on campus that includes ample parking (which I could never find as a student 45 years ago!). Courteous, welcoming staff, both at check-in and in the bar. Would definitely stay here again.

Cierra @ desk and Matt @ Trophy restaurant both went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves!
Nice smaller fitness room... Only missing three 5# & 10# weights from the rack. Comfortable bed and pillows and nice shampoo, conditioner in shower. Loved it!
Recommend coffee at the Trophy bar, since the instant in the room was not as good.
Nice sitting areas outside and inside!
Fridge in room and all other amenities like hair dryer, iron, safe are in room.

We absolutely loved this place. The location is outstanding. The interior is a delight for your eyes with the amazing collection of different patterns and gorgeous colors. The rooms and the entire place is very comfortable.

Boutique hotel experience near USC campus! The decor is adorable with small details that make a boutique choice shine. The rooms are on the smaller side, but linens and bed were lovely. All staff were gracious and polite. Quiet and peaceful for a holiday weekend which was a nice surprise. I can imagine if folks were coming to tour campus, this would be the right choice for a home base! Thank you, The Graduate!

My daughter hosted a baby shower at The Graduate last Saturday. The food was fantastic. The staff are so welcoming. They helped us with getting everything we needed. The shower was a great success!

We just completed a corporate retreat at the Graduate and loved it. The place if perfect for a combination of presentations, team dinners and team building plus a wonderful hotel. Everyone enjoyed their rooms and great beds. The best was the staff! They all care and worked very hard to try and make everything perfect for us. I could go on and on but you should consider The Graduate for your next company retreat! Great access to afternoon retreats like fishing, boating, shooting clays, the zoo and Escapology.

Had a nice overnight stay. The room was clean and well appointed. School was not in session so the area was very quite. Had a lot of green space to walk through. Several bars and restaurants within walking distance.

We would definitely stay there again.

The best place to be in downtown South Carolina, hands down. All of the stars they have received come with merit. Great Service at the "Trophy Room", clean rooms and eclectic decor that rivals any. A true "Southern Charm". The only thing I could fault is that we were told the parking was free if we did not park in the parking garage and just put the placard in our window to show we were a guest. Upon checkout that was incorrect and we were charged parking for our three days stay.

Haven't stayed there but great bar and meeting place.
