Southern Social

We had an outstanding time dining at Southern Social tonight for my partners birthday and our anniversary. The staff was polite, welcoming, and attentive. The food was delicious and quickly prepared and served to the table with precision. The wine flights were excellent and priced very fairly! The whiskey selection is outstanding and I quite enjoyed the glass of Parker’s Heritage that I was shocked to see on the shelf (let alone three different varieties!!!)

All in all I wish I would have spent my birthday here instead of the Peabody. They really made the occasion feel special and we both had a great time!!

Our waitress Anna was very friendly and took care of us like we were regulars even though it was our first time (although certainly not our last) dining with them.

I don't know where to start.. can I say this restaurant is the way to go for (any) occasion. I have had nothing but great experiences each time I come. The welcoming feelings, great services & amazing tasting food & wine. Just spot on. Nothing but things to say about Southern Social.

My first time dining at Southern Social. OMG! This was a great place to celebrate my birthday. The food was good. However, the politeness of the staff stood out to me the most. The customer service was off the charts. I will return in the near future. Loved it!

Heard great things about this place and it's all true!! Came here with co-workers/friends for a good meal and drinks. We were greeted with someone opening the door for us and everyone there was soooo polite. It was like everyone was in a great mood. They were all so friendly and courteous. We were seated right away. Our server Zach was wonderful. He asked did we have any questions about the menu and answered all of our questions. Drinks and food came out fast. He continually checked on us to make sure everything was fine. He took care of any issues we had super fast. Everything was delicious. The pork belly and the chicken got was so crispy and juicy. The piece of chicken was so big I couldn't finish it all. We all had a great dinner. I highly recommend coming here!

Get a reservation!!!!! Ask for Brian! He was such a wonderful server!!!! Took amazing care of us, we had a small issue with one of our dishes and was no issue at all for him. He was so quick to get it handled and fixed. 👏👏👏👏😬😀😀😀😀

This place is kid friendly, however it is fine dining, so please take that into consideration. We saw some kids in there and they were enjoying themselves.

We celebrated our graduate. She had just graduated from high school and they took such great care of us, her. We were so pleased with the food, atmosphere, everything.

The drinks were delicious, the food - off the charts!!! Even the next day!!!! I tore up my leftovers. Not gonna lie… and we will be back again for sure. :)

My first time at Southern Social and I had a nice time. When we entered the restaurant, the host greeted us at the door. The other staff was nice as well. The dining area was nice and clean. Our waiter, Zach S. was great. He helped with questions we had. He told us his favorite choice. He was very attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner. I had the Tomahawk Pork Chop with the Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes casserole, and it was delicious. I will be going back to try something new.

Went for a special occasion, their Aunt Thelmas fried chicken was amazing and so was the NY strip. Our waiter Ben was amazing and can’t wait to go back for the food and lovely service.

My wife and I just wanted to enjoy a quiet evening. Southern Social was the perfect place to enjoy ourselves. The wine flights were the highlight of our outing.

Last-minute reservation, sat on the patio. It was very nice out, shade and fans to keep the area cool. Enclosed patio -no view, but still very nice. I had the quail with red beans and rice grits. Quail was smaller portion than expected, but the red beans where the star of the meal to me. Everything was tasty. Service was good. I will return for the fried chicken!

Omg!!!!! I loved EVEYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. YOU WIKL HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT . WORDS CANT EXPLAIN THE TOP NOTCH CUSTOMER SERVICE WE RECIEVED. THE OWNER SHOULD BE VERY PROUD. I WOULD LILE TO SHAKE HIS HAND AND SAY"WELL DONE!" There wasn't an employee that we walked past that didn't greet us. Complimentary valet parking, and champagne for the occasions. This place is definitely a place where you can go and have a wonderful experience. Well done employees. 👏🏽

Excellent customer service. Amazing dinner. However, the fried oyster deviled eggs were awesome. I'm definitely looking forward to dining here again soon.

Wonderful place to share a special time with and endulg yourselves. Great choice of wines, including wine flights. The food was wonderful. Recommend the BBQ shrimp to start out with, but you really can not go wrong with anything you choose. The ribeye was cooked and seasoned perfectly. However, the tomahawk pork chop stole the show. Unbelievable how tender and juicy this pork chop was and flavor for days. Will be getting this over the steak next visit. Don't forget to get the lemon icebox pie for dessert.

Absolutely fantastic dinner! Great service and food. The fried cheese sandwiches and deviled eggs are excellent choices for appetizers. I had the king cut ribeye and it was the best steak I have had in Memphis! This is not somewhere I would go all the time because of the price however for special occasions it is an outstanding choice. We made reservations the day before and the table was ready exactly on time. We will be back!

Had a wonderful night out with collegues from Japan. Our server was very courteous in explaining the menu and we had and another kind and knowledgeable member explained the bourbon menu. Over all, it was a great experience.

Excellent service!! Another great memory with friends. The menu options were great and well worth every dollar spent. Alec was our waiter. We all loved our interactions with him. He was very attentive and professional. Hats off to all of the staff (everyone greeted us in passing). This will not be my last visit…more to come.

We celebrated our Anniversary again for Valentine’s Day here and it was worth every Penny!! We truly enjoyed the wine, food, and atmosphere. But the absolute highlight of the night was the staff!! They are amazing and very tentative. They made sure to welcome us and say goodnight as we walked by each staff member. They made us feel like they were so excited to have us! We will definitely be going back and will be highly recommended to family and friends!

We had an outstanding experience at Southern Social last night celebrating my parents' 50th anniversary. From prompt seating to exceptional service by Alicia, every aspect was perfect. The food was delicious and served promptly, and the bar staff kept the drinks flowing seamlessly. Thank you, Southern Social, for creating a truly memorable evening for my family. Five stars!

Wonderful service, and delicious drinks and food! Was a business dinner, atmosphere was lively but wasn’t loud, so we could hear each other. The duck was my favourite dish, and the cream brûlée with chocolate spoon was fantastic!

Everything about thus place is amazing! We enjoyed exquisite gourmet food (the pimento sandwich appetizer was delicious), extremely welcoming and friendly staff, knowledgeable and professional service, and so many delicious food choices! We will definitely be back again and highly recommend this as an essential Memphis experience!!!

Excellent food and service. Recommend a reservation, family of 4 on a Tuesday night at 5:30pm and it was already packed and were just barely squeezed in. It is a great place for a special occasion - We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they were very happy to share their congratulations. I would not recommend bringing young kids - they do not have high chairs or seating accommodations for younger children. We were able to make it work and while the kids were especially well behaved; they were most certainly the only children present. Next time we dine we will get a sitter and have a fancy night out!
