Stumbled upon this gem on our way from Texas to Georgia. So thankful we choose this place over the myriad of other restaurants we came across. Perfect location (near the university). There was a long line, but surprisingly we didn't have to wait too long. The service was excellent (very friendly guy who served us), the food was awesome and the whole place was a great vibe.

Will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Memphis!!

Excellent breakfast, set in an old town style breakfast diner type establishment. Friendly staff, adequate service, minimal wait time.

Had the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes at the recommendation of my server. Comes with 2 large pan cakes with swirls of icing on each cake. Perhaps the ONLY pancake I've ever eaten without syrup since the swirls of icing were moist. These cakes are served with a small personalized container of Maple Syrup, which I sampled on Cake #2. Both the plate and top of cakes were dusted with a cinnamon sugar mix, which keeps the cakes directly off the plate, making them slightly easier to eat than normal.

If I return, I'll be trying the Chocolate Chip pancakes, as this would have been my alternative choice. 4.8 Stars on this one. Excellent breakfast.

I absolutely love the food and service and will definitely return when I come back to town. I spoke to some customers as I was walking into the restaurant and asked how the food was and they stated the food was excellent and they were right. The people were nice as well and the food was prepared quickly. I had the San Diegan open face omelet, cheesy grits, biscuit and cinnamon roll pancakes. The cheesy grits were a little salty for me but I loved everything else and I stand behind the 5-stars. I recommend Brother Juniper's definitely good prices, great food, quick service and polite staff. I have provided pictures unfortunately I ate the cinnamon roll pancakes so quickly I did not get a picture but trust me they were so good.

This Memphis breakfast institution lives up to the hype. It isn’t glamorous but it is a comfortable place to get the best breakfast anywhere. Everything I’ve had here is excellent from the biscuits to the bacon to the vegan dishes. Make sure you get a potato dish or the home fries. It is crowded in the morning, but 11:00 is a good time to go during the week to get seated right away.

This is one of the best breakfast places out there for sure. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. Yes, there is a wait line. And yes it is well worth it. The pancake was awesomely fluffy and moist but not overly sweet. The service is great. Coffee is bold.

Great local diner with a great atmosphere.
Interesting dishes, I got the Gyro omelet and cheese grits, which was filling and delicious. Waitress gave me a little glass syrup jar w/ brother juniper on the label 💯

Came right before noon with 2 friends, and we were seated right away. I was pleased with my order, and the Brother Juniper mango hot sauce earned an extra star for the food.

Voted the best breakfast in Memphis, and I can see why! I'll be sure to visit again next time I'm in town 👍

The home fries are as good as everyone says they are. Don't walk, run and order some no matter what you get!

The steak Benedict wasn't as I was expecting but everything was very well cooked and filling. Definitely generous portions.

We had no wait for 2 at 9am on a Friday.

We visited for brunch on Sunday. It was 11:30
In the morning, so fully packed. On top of it, it was the Mother’s Day - so it was even more crowded than the usual, I guess. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to get the table ready. To start- I got myself a coffee with milk ( cafe au lait). I ordered the waffle plate- which came with a big waffle, an egg, two sausage patties with a side of fries. That was how I selected- you can select from other options too. The waffle was hot and nicely done- served with maple syrup. The egg was usual, although I don’t like the oil/ butter that they used. The sausage patties ( I assume house made) were decent. The highlight was the side fries - they were absolutely perfect. The potato chunks were seasoned well, fried to the perfection, crispy from the outside and mushy from inside. Just perfect. I finished the meal, where as my friend took the remaining as to-go. She ordered an omelette ( with cheese and mushrooms). It was humongous. Overall, the place was great with a nice, lively, laid back vibe. The waiters and staff were all very sweet and friendly. I would go back again.

Update: visited again, got a potato dish with chorizo. It was pretty decent. My friend got an omelette with gyro meat. Food was good, service was fine. The mocha was decent, however, the espresso was terrible. It was more
like an americano.

We had a long wait, but was totally worth it! Tons of stuff on the menu and everything they brought out of the kitchen looked great! I ordered a raspberry mocha with a salmon Benedict & cheese grits and my friend got the #3. It was SO much food and tasted so good.

I really liked the atmosphere here. We had some wait time on a Sunday morning, but I was glad to see that they were busy. The staff were all very kind and helpful guiding through the menu. I thought the food was good, it had a southern style to it, which isn’t my favorite, but I’m sure most people would enjoy this place. The eggs Benedict had a biscuit Instead of an English muffin. My home fries were a little too burnt and over-salty, but overall the food was good. I liked the style inside a lot, and it seems like the restaurant has done well.

Great breakfast spot! The pancakes are huge, and the breakfast potatoes are some of the best I've ever had. Today, I had the loaded grits, and they were sooooo good. Vegan and gluten-free items are marked on the menu, too.

Wow just wow.

Huge portions, The picture is after I've finished my meal. The cheese grits are so cheesy it's insane. The toast is a wonderful bread with bits of seeds. The ingredients are good quality and did I mention lots of food?

The place is busy as it gets but they flip tables fast so the wait was way shorter than they said. The coffee was good. The prices were very reasonable. Service was great, friendly and let you enjoy your meal. Our waiter, Sam was great.

Parking kind of sucks but the location only allows for so much traffic.

Amazing place to eat. Its very busy, so definitely prepare to wait. But the wait is worth it. And there is a good reason for it being so busy.

I got a bacon omelette with their in house bread, potatoes, and a cinnamon roll.

The omelette was loaded with bacon to the point where I had a hard time cutting it, they don't skimp on their customers!! In this economy, finding a place not skimping is a rarity, so this place won big points for me on that. The potatoes were crispy and delicious. The cinnamon roll was warm and perfect. And don't get me started on their in house bread. Its to die for.

My wife also said they hands down beat another broken egg with the eggs benedict.

I can't wait to go again. The prices are also very reasonable for what you get. Definitely worth going to.

Some of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. I got a HUGE iced latte for less than $5 which is basically unheard of anywhere else. I ordered the breakfast plate #4 and it was extremely filling. We also ordered the French toast which was incredible, I would love to come back and try the cinnamon roll pancakes. Super great prices.

I was recommended by someone to try this breakfast spot and did not disappoint. You do have to join the waiting list if you want to have a table by the time you arrive but the wait is worth it. Once inside, the place looks like a good ole fashioned diner with love for food. The Juniper late is a great start along with any item on the menu. Please visit this spot if you in the Memphis area.

Loved my breakfast here. Seemed like just a great wholesome place. Everything was so fresh and you can tell that the biscuits and sauces were made from scratch. Service was excellent. My only input would be that in my opinion a breakfast place should have Tabasco hot sauce haha.

Listen up! This place was booming all day. Gave them my number and I was able to track our place in line. It was fairly quick. Everyone was very nice and attentive. Now to the food!! The best pancake I've ever eaten was served here. I forgot to take a picture but let me tell you, it was something out of heaven. My veggie omelet was great. The home fries were fresh cut and served. We definitely plan to visit this place when we come to Memphis again. They close at 12:30pm so be sure to get there early. So worth a try. It's not a fancy suited and booted type of place so be comfortable or if you choose to dress up do you. No masks are required so understand you are in very close range here. Just a FYI.

The brunch here was delicious and so many choices on the menu! The cinnamon roll pancakes are a must try! The Juniper latte is huge, so only get it if you can eat and then drink 30 ounces of coffee ☕ 😆 The staff was both patient and friendly 😉
