The Jenny Layne Bakery

***The Day of Wedding Cake Tasted AMAZING and looked GREAT!!! And there were plenty of cake pieces for all of our guests (We had about 80 guests in total)***

We booked through Walters and Jenny Layne Bakery was the provided cake vendor. The planning experience with the bakery is decent, as now the actual wedding planning rep/manager will be the person to discuss the cake design, clients will no longer work directly with the bakery.

There were 4 choices for the wedding cake/desserts: 4 - Tiered Wedding Cake; Traditional Duo; Modern Trio; Petite Cake & Desserts. We went with the very classic and quintessential smooth 4-tier cake, and the two flavors we chose were "The Most Popular" and "Chocolate Espresso (I believe now they changed it to Classic Chocolate)".

We had the opportunities to go to several tastings in 2023 and we tried almost all the flavors and the various desserts the bakery offers. We were having some concerns as the cake flavors, although were good, the texture was hit or miss. In addition, the other desserts we tried were all alright, nothing spectacular. Due to those reason we were concern how the wedding cake would turn out and rightfully so!

Amazingly, the cake for our wedding not only tasted AMAZING, but also looked so classy and elegant. In addition, there were PLENTY of cake SLICES for our guests (Each guest could easily have both flavors and some more! I personally attended weddings before where the cake was not even a bite!)

I would give the bakery a high rating and say they have done an amazing job for our wedding! I did not get to see the bakery staff assemble the cascade floral, but it turned out looking stunning! Huge props to both The Jenny Layne Bakery and The Design Haus for our wedding cake!

Our wedding venue booked Jenny Layne Bakery, for our bakery. She does not disappoint! Laeticia made the taste testing so easy, it is already boxed up for you to bring home and enjoy. All the flavors are delicious, it was a tough choice to make. The designs we asked for turned out, the cakes tasted great. She even gives you a box to bring the top tier home in.

Jenny Layne Bakery did a fantastic job with my wedding cakes. They were gorgeous and completely matched my vision. Not only were they beautiful, they tasted amazing! Cannot recommend them enough. I also must compliment them for their great communication pre-event!

I absolutely loved our wedding and groom cakes!! They weren't just beautiful, they were delicious!! All of our guests were raving about the different layers. I can't wait to have it on our 1 year anniversary! Jenny is so sweet and easy to work with, I sent her inspiration pictures and she nailed it!

You cannot go wrong with a cake from Jenny Layne Bakery for ANY occasion! There is a charge for tasting but it is well worth it. She sits down with you and provides large samples, unlike all the other cake tastings I encountered in DFW. If you know what you want, Jenny can make it happen. I went to the tasting with a general idea of what I wanted. Jenny listened to my likes and dislikes and created something entirely unique. She is a talented artist and can make ANY vision you might have come to life. My family loved our wedding cake so much, we’ve already used Jenny again for birthday parties and other events! Most importantly, her prices are really reasonable (especially for the quality of what you’re getting) and she will work with your budget to make it happen. My husband and I were prepared to scratch the groom cake in an effort to reduce costs, but Jenny made it possible for us to have the wedding AND groom cake within our budget. We are so glad we chose Jenny Layne Bakery for our wedding and will continue to use her for our party and bakery needs in the future!

We picked Jenny Layne Bakery for our wedding cake and macaron tower and it was a great idea. The cake was just like how we wanted it to look like, taste was amazing (although it was little too sweet for me, but still was great), and the macaron was super cute and delicious! Highly recommend them for sure. Only downside is that it's so hard to get in contact with them... make sure to get their direct phone number or something. I was actually very worried about them not showing up on my wedding day because we couldn't contact them at all prior to the wedding day. (fortunately, they came on time and everything was good, but man, you don't want to freak out on your wedding day lol) Still, was great and definitely would hire them again for the future party cakes!

Hands down the best cakes and treats around! Jenny and her team can do it ALL! I have been lucky enough to work with Jenny for years as a wedding professional. She always brings the most beautiful and tasty desserts. Her cakes are works of art!

I was also lucky enough to be a Bride of Jenny’s. She is so wonderful to work with and a joy to be around! It’s obvious that she puts a lot of love and care into each order. Jenny made sure every detail was perfect leading up to my wedding day. She designed the cakes of my dreams and even had the perfect cake stands to compliment! My husband and I are so incredibly happy! So much so that we plan on ordering our cake again and again because it’s DELICIOUS! My husband told me to set up a once a month recurring order. Trust me when I say you have to get you some!

It is a gift to know her! I will forever recommend her to everyone I know!!

Super fast to respond to questions, amazing customer service and tasty cakes!!! Our experience with Jenny Layne Bakery for our wedding was excellent! Cakes were yummy and lemon bars so so good!

My wife and I were planning our wedding. We were searching for someone that could put together the exact Cake my wife would never forget. Every bakery we spoke with acted afraid of that much fondant work. Jenny took the challenge, we weren't worried about the grooms cake. Jenny absolutely smashed it out of the park! Both Cakes were absolutely spectacular and were the talk of the reception! People had four different types of Cake on their plates and said they couldn't stop eating it. I have to personally admit, I didn't get any of the Red Velvet because it disappeared so quickly. I did however try all the other types and each one was amazing. I highly recommend Jenny Layne Bakery to everyone, thank you! Italian Cream, enough said!

This bakery is the best!! We ordered a two tiered unicorn cake, with a matching smash cake, for my daughter’s first birthday. I’m not a huge cake fan in general, and neither is my daughter, but we loved this cake! The icing was to die for and it was just beautiful. Everyone at the party was asking where we got the cake and we couldn’t stop bragging about Jenny Layne. We will definitely be using this bakery again for future events! Thank you so much ladies!

Jenny Layne Bakery had the whole process on lock. For tastings, they have a dozen cupcakes of each flavor along with several sample desserts to take home, giving you plenty of time to taste and decide. The cake itself was beautiful and yummy, but we have to highlight the additional desserts they provide. Initially, we were thinking of just the traditional bride and groom cakes, but after tasting the cake pops, brownies, and cookies, we knew we had to also have a dessert table. Both the cake and the desserts were the talk of the wedding.

Had 40th bday 3 tier cake at Jenny Layne. Best looking and tasting cake I have personally had for a milestone celebration. Also due to some timing restrictions Jenny Layne worked with our schedule to make it happen. Really appreciate the quality as well as fantastic customer experience.

The sugar cookies were perfect, the chocolate covered strawberries were divine. The pumpkin pie and banana pudding was delicious. The cake was just as I pictured it. Awesome bakery with just custom orders. They don't welcome walk-ins. The cake designs were very neatly done. The cake, smash cake, cake pop, muffins all tasted great. Not that much of sugar blast, very mild and good flavors. Would definitely recommend them for kids bdays, wedding cakes. Very professional and passionate people here. Wish they were little closer to the fort Worth area.

Jenny did the cake for my sisters baby shower and everyone was so impressed! She did a gorgeous design with real flowers that had been dried and pressed. It was so unique! I had an original idea but asked for her feedback on design and I’m so glad she did! The cake was also delicious with the Oreo filling. I highly recommend Jenny!

I have been using Jenny for my cakes since 2016. Every one is a visual masterpiece AND the moistest most flavorful cake you will ever get. She has done baby showers, 1st birthdays, weddings, and family occasions for us. She did a simple and elegant wedding cake for my very small and intimate wedding a few days prior to this past Christmas. I sent her a few inspiration photos and left the rest in her capable hands. She nailed it. I am disappointed that I wont be able to use her going forward due to her contract with Walter's Weddings but I can assure every bride that you absolutely will not be disappointed with your wedding cake. The Jenny Layne Bakery was the perfect choice for our big day! Jenny and her team are so kind and helpful. The tasting was a great experience for us; Jenny gave lots of key information and suggestions, and she took the time to get a feel for exactly what we wanted! Everything was seamless on the day of, and our cake perfectly matched what we pictured. It was beautiful! I can't say enough great things, and we'll absolutely be coming back for an anniversary cake and all of their wonderful desserts!
