Azle Animal Control

The staff helped an injured dog get medical attention without hesitation. Not sure why so many negative reviews. We have never had bad service from the staff. The ladies there care about the pets and it’s obvious by how happy the animals are and how clean the shelter is. We are grateful for them and will continue to support our small shelter.

Friendly officers despite the horrific trauma we experienced from our now former dog. The City of Azle is in good hands with those that work at Azle Animal Control.

We had to call animal control after hours the lady that came out last night was very helpful and sweet!

My husband and I bought a house here about 3 years and We love it here and don't bother anyone. About month ago we bought a pet dog. He is a puppy is 4 months old now. We were so happy and excited to bring him home with us. Sadly we have had 2 complaints about him barking alot at night. He will barked whenever someone gets to close to the back fence of our house. But who dog doesn't 🙄 all of our neighbors have dogs. my husband caught one of neighbors mocking our dog one night actually the unknown man was barking at our dog on the other side of our fence He was asked to stop doing that. And was told by my husband "thats what dogs do "BARK and that he was doing what he supposed to do". About 3 -4 days later. We get this note on our door about him barking .as of this date 12/28 we have recieved 2 notes complaints about him barking and being left out all night. .That is crazy. The complaints even states that it happens all night that he is barking. We put him out to pee, etc. and He also plays for a few hours in OUR back yard. And then we bring him back in the house and he stays in all NIGHT .My husband did go down to the Azle animal office and talk to them about it the first time a complaint . He also had to filed an complaint with azle police station about the neighbor ( the Man) he caught harassing our dog. The Azle control really needs to investigates and see for themselves that we are telling the truth . Why are they (Azle control)just believing only this person or persons that is saying this, making the false report about our dog barking all night?
Is there anyone thats have had this happened to them . if so what did you do to get it resolve? Also The complaints states that we have more than one dog barking?. We only have one. So they have the wrong house 🏠 also, the person or persons that is making the complaints they are kept confidential 😠

Been waiting for 4 days for them to get a dead deer out of my yard. Was told they would pick it up in the morning 4 days ago. Could have just said its your problem on the phone so I could have dug a hole before it busted in my yard. This place needs help bad for the animals and the people that have to deal with the rudeness

Why is this animal shelter even here? Can't except animals from most places in azle, opointment only, Staff is rude, short and sound incompetent with animals. Found an animal in desperate need of a vet so we took it here. "Sorry your at this address? no that's just barely outside our jurisdiction." This animal needs help asap. You won't take it? No you can try Weatherford.

I picked up an abandoned dog that had been hanging around my house and took it to Azle animal control. I was told that I would have to pay in order to leave the dog with them. The lady was very rude to me when I questioned the point of their existence. I thought they were there for the animals, not to profit from the animals misfortune. I was very upset by the time I left there and I took the dog home and found a new home for it. My second experience with them was when a friend had moved into a new home and found a mom with new puppies in his garage. The mom got hit by a car and he was left with six puppies. He had already called animal control, which of course was no help, so I took them home with me. I put an ad on Craigslist and I was down to one puppy when I got a knock at my door. It was Azle animal control. They found out about the puppies and in Azle you are only allowed three pets per home. I already had three dogs of my own. They threatened to fine me $500 for being over the limit even after I explained to them I had rescued the puppies. Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I found a dog at Walmart parking lot! Beautiful dog! Very well behaved!! Will have no problem getting adopted. But the service I had at this place was ridiculous. I felt so unwelcomed. I had explained to her I found this dog the night before. Took him home he was covered in fleas..and I don't say that lightly either.. I sat at Walmart contemplating on what do with him. I went inside got lots of dawn dish soap, a collar, leash, and treats. I took him home bathed him let him get plenty of food and water in him. Then tucked him in for bed! Woke up next morning and knew I couldn't keep him. I called Parker county and they said they couldn't take him.. And they didn't tell me what I could do.. So I was on the search again.. And I told the lady that and she said its like a police department you can't go to a different police department if it didn't happen there in that city. If that makes sense. So I'm sitting there thinking to myself so if I was beat up in a different town and I went back to my town and reported it they would at least help me.. Hmm. WRONG. They could give me some help and where and what to-do. She belittled me. And made me feel dumb. I'm only 18. I have 2 dogs already and I'm pregnant. Im sorry SOMEONE else dumped there dog off but at least he didn't sleep in the cold last night. She made it seem like it was my dog I was dropping off.. But it wasn't mine. it was a stray. God forbid I ever try and do an act of kindness. The way she made me feel about a pet that wasn't even mine wasn't okay. VERY BAD FIRST EXPERIENCE.

My experience was not ideal. They wouldn't pick up the phone because of "Covid", and when I couldn't reach them, they issued a citation, even though I had the documents that could have prevented that if they would have answered. I could go on, but point in case, horrible to work with.

Thry don't know proper phone etiquette at all. They were super rude. I wouldn't call this place for anything ever again.

Rudest people on the phone, do not call them. It sounds like you put them out.

Rudist people I have ever talked to.... Would not recommend this place to anybody......
