Dr Zain Hakeem actually sits down with you to look at the whole picture. He's solutioning problems, but also thinking about the patient quality of life. It's never rushed. His patient load allows for him to research and think outside the box, if needed. He works with you instead of talking at you, and his office is a comfortable room with everything he needs to get work done.

I showed up with a slew of chronic illness and long covid. I have a bunch of specialists I see, and most have stopped trying to find something that works for me, believing they've done what they can do. Personally, I can't accept that. I want my active lifestyle back, and the socializing that comes with it. Dr Zain had an idea to help my body become resilient again after having a horrible POTS/long covid flare up. We backed it with some data from a VO2 max and started following what made sense for me from a peer reviewed study he found.

Last October I was taking 2-3 naps a day and was unable to exercise despite loving daily workouts before I got sick. I'm wrapping up month two of following our protocol - and it is work, but work I'm happy to put in. My fatigue is starting to reduce and I'm now up to slow jogging without negative consequences. I only sometimes need a nap. My quality of life has definitely improved and I look forward to continuing to work together on my chronic pain and other issues. I know we'll keep picking at it and I'll be back to races, hiking, and travel as soon as is possible. Working without the pressure of insurance approvals has been key.

Dr. Zain Hakeem is very thoughtful and thorough in both diagnoses and treatment. He takes the time to listen and understand the patient and explains all options in full detail. His office is cozy, with a comfort setting to relax and openly discuss your health concerns and questions, without feeling rushed like in many medical practices. I am also impressed with his use of the latest technology to provide the best patient experience.

A doctor who cares and a doctor that takes the time for their patients. Dr. Zain actually takes the full hour or more of his appointments to sit, listen and compose a diagnosis or plan of care WITH the client. You are not rushed in or out or give a cookie cut plan and sent on your way. Dr Zain took the time to assess, diagnose and discuss everything I needed and listened to any concerns or questions I had in length. He will discuss all options with you till you understand and are comfortable with the plan of action. You are not a number or just another diagnosis at River Rock and which is exactly how all medical and health care should be!

Even beyond the basics of acute or chronic issues Dr Zain will work with you to ensure your whole life is focused toward your health goals, physically and mentally, if that is what you want. Truly progressive care which should just be the norm everywhere. I highly recommend his services and wouldn't know how to go back to any other type of medical practice again. I am so grateful for Dr Zains care and attribute getting back to my energetic healthy life to his care.
