We unexpectedly needed a place to stay in Casey and randomly came across this place and we are so glad we did! It was by far our favorite place to stay as we traveled across the country. It was perfect for our family of five. We had plenty of room, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. They did a wonderful job restoring this gem! I did hear the train go by several times during the night but had no problem falling right back asleep and it would not prevent me from staying here again. I highly recommend this place and look forward to hopefully staying here again sometime.

What a relief to find this amazing, adorable, and accommodating hotel as my daughter and I found ourselves driving cross country during the three foggiest days in US history. Thankfully, we had the good fortune to get the last room here, and the owner was extremely helpful in getting us set up after a surreal day on the road. Very comfy beds and modern amenities in a beautiful historic building. I fell in love with the hotel and the town of Casey, home to several Guinness World Record super-sized outdoor sculptures—including the Wind Chime, Rocking Chair, Knitting Needles, Crochet Hook, Pitchfork, Golf Tee, Yardstick, Wooden Token, Dutch Wooden Shoes, Mailbox, Pencil and Birdcage. The Casey Coffee Shop had an awesome healthy breakfast, we snapped some photos, and we were on our way. But now I want to come back! A truly lovely town and place.

I have stayed at the 1890 Sleepover twice now and I have fallen in love with it, and Casey, Illinois. The rooms are super cool and unique, and the service is wonderful and accommodating. I live in Missouri and have family back east so Casey, IL. is a convenient stopover on my way home and I have incorporated the 1890 Sleepover into my regular itinerary. Last time I went with one of the Harry Potter-themed rooms, and it was amazing: cool referneces and a winding staircase! The small town of Casey is fun, with all the "largest this and largest that" scattered all over the roughly 4 square blocks that is the downtown. The diner across the street puts on a decent breakfast, and the walleye sandwich would be worth ordering again. I look forward to going back to the 1890, hopefully this holiday season. Obviously I cannot recommend this place enough!

What a great little hotel! We went riding at Lincoln Trail and wanted to stay the night and check out the town. The hotel was super clean, the sheets smelled great and it had such a cute vibe. I honestly had some of the best sleep ever and I messaged the staff curious what kind of mattresses they had. They couldn't remember off the top but went and looked at their purchases to let me know. Nonetheless, I'm ordering the same mattress. We plan on staying there the next time as well and would definitely recommend!

What a cool place to stay at in a quaint little town! This nostalgic hotel is a must-stay-in if you are passing through Casey, Illinois. The room was awesome. Our kids loved it and didn't want to leave! Everyone in the town was so friendly, and there are so many cool things to see, places to shop, and great food to eat!

Beautiful place to stay. 2-stars doesn't do it justice. The place has a ton of charm and style. The staff are friendly and the rooms are beautiful and clean.

Quaint and we'll maintained. If you're here as a stop on a longer trip and decided to see the world's biggest mailbox and rocking chair as a fun side thing, this place is for you. Everything is in walking distance and easy to get to. I was in room 204 and it was really cute, bed super comfortable and while I couldn't control the temperature of my room, it was perfect to sleep.

Only recommendation I have, but doesn't detract from the stay, is that check in was view text and parking area wasn't clear, so that caused me a little confusion. However, my stay was Sunday into Monday, so that might not be everyone's experience.

Bottom line-definitely recommend.

Best location to stay in heart of the really cool Casey IL. Rooms are spacious comfortable and the original parts of building was saved. High ceiling, exposed brick and original floors. Bathrooms are well vented so no steam bath when trying to get ready after shower. Tastefully decorated and very clean. Bed and bedding was like being at home. Pillows were awesome. Microwave and fridge was great.
Staff attentive to detail. Easy checkin. Loved our 24 hours in Casey and this sleepover was the best.

We were only able to stay one night as we breezed through town but it was the most beautiful and unique hotel we've stayed at! The older architecture mixed with new age additions was so beautiful. And while we arrived too late to interact with any of the staff, we received quick text communication about our stay and what to expect. And the room was clean and ready!
If we ever come through again, we will absolutely be booking at this hotel.

Had a great stay in room 205! Nice cold room, lovely smelling towels, great shower, comfy bed and great views of the little town from a fabulous corner room. I could go on, but if you are planning a trip and need a room you should stay and see for yourself. You won't regret it!

This little gem is just about as perfect as they come.
We booked room 306 and it was a delight. The room was spacious, clean comfortable and close enough to walk anywhere downtown.
The owners were fabulous and so nice.
I give this a 10/10. We will definitely be back. I especially love the nostalgia of the train going by. If you want a hotel go there- if you want an experience stay here.

We just had a 24-hour vacation over Labor Day and this was a great hotel for us to stay in. We could walk everywhere of interest. Our kids loved the loft and the room was big enough for all 7 of us. We'll definitely stay here if we come again.

An accident on the highway brought my 88 yr old parents and I to Casey, IL - on the way to a family reunion in Oklahoma. After such a harrowing experience, being able to stay in such a lovely, unique hotel was wonderful. We couldn't even drive anywhere and Sleepover was just across the street from where our vehicle was towed. The place is spotless, charming and we lucked out as someone left early allowing us the only room in town available. The owners are amazing and the town of Casey is a place I'd come back to under better circumstances for sure. The town is quintessential, small town with a updated twist - so friendly.

My wife and I stayed in room 304 for the night and absolutely loved it! The rooms have great style and were very clean and tidy. We only found this gem on our way back home from our vacation out West. I wish we would have known about this place sooner as we would have stayed here at the start of our journey as well.

304 is on the 3rd floor and we did have to climb those flights of stairs, but we did not have large luggage and found that it wasn't too difficult.

We utilized the fans included in the room for temperature control throughout the night.

The breakfast voucher was a nice way to sample some of the local businesses for breakfast before we headed out in the morning.

The small town of Casey is such a great place with the small shops and all of the LARGE items scattered throughout. It was a fun experience to walk through the town and explore.

Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at Eighteen-Nintey Sleepover; it was one of the highlights of our trip!

Absolutely beautiful stay! They allowed me to check in quite late despite not really having an overnight checkin process. The room was set up so beautifully and it was incredibly clean. And to top it all off my breakfast and coffee at Casey Coffee Company just down the road was fantastic paid for with my breakfast voucher from my stay at Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover. I would absolutely stay again anytime I am passing through this area!

We stayed Friday-Sunday for my sisters wedding in Marshall. Our wedding party had multiple rooms and it was amazing!! Our stay made our weekend so enjoyable. We had rooms 201 and 203. They were conjoining rooms and worked perfectly for myself, husband, mother-in-law, and 3 kiddos. The rooms were adorable and so clean. Kim, the owner, was extremely helpful and very responsive to anything we needed! Unfortunately the elevator was out of service this weekend, but Kim helped us get all of our belongings to our room! She was wonderful and made our stay very comfortable! She has truly put an enormous amount of love into this business and it shows! My husband and I have already been looking for upcoming events in Casey so we can come back to stay! Thank you for making my sister and new brother-in-laws wedding weekend magical!

We had a great stay at this very old, beautifully restored hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room was very clean. The shower is great. Kim is very nice and helpful. Casey is a really cute town and this is the perfect place to stay where you can walk to many shops, restaurants and some of the big things.

The 1890 sleepover was such a gem - a wonderful way to experience the charm of Casey. I love how they have restored this building into an all-suite experience with darling vintage finishes. We stayed in a loft room on the third floor. The beds were so comfortable, great linens and the bathrooms are beautifully redone - whole fam loved the body wash that smelled like glazed donuts😊. Suite room are up flights of very narrow stairways and if you are on the third floor, pack lightly. There is a freight elevator on premises that goes up to the second floor. The booking experience and customer service was so easy and very friendly. 1890 is located right in the heart of downtown and is a great stop to make on a roadtrip or to spend time in this little charming town full of big things.

An absolute gem! We were traveling from Topeka to Detroit and needed a stay somewhere in between (under name Evan Shatter). The town of Casey is the cutest place and we enjoyed the ‘Big Things Small Town’ tour. Eighteen-Ninety Sleepover is such an elegant and contemporary way of using the old meeting house. I loved how the interior reflects old and new. In our room, we were thrilled to read all of the notes tucked into the brick. It’s such an eccentric little tradition. Kim messaged us with the info we needed so getting to our room was a breeze. Wi-Fi and Netflix worked great, the bed was large and comfy, and the shower was large with hot water and good water pressure. The room had a mini fridge, heater, and fan. One thing I might recommend is getting luggage racks for bags as we had to store on the floor. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unique place!
