Shivers Frozen Custard & Coffee

The very best service! Huge menu with a lot of different drink and custard options. They offer a FOTD(flavor of the day) and fun seasonal options as well. Their fall menu is one of my absolute favorites and I am OBSESSED with the iced caramel apple cider. Try it!

The workers at shivers are always very consistent and very quick. I have a hard time ordering food anywhere without mistakes being made. Even with all the young adults working they are all very professional and courteous and always do a great job! The only mess ups I’ve ever had is that they’ve given us extra ice cream on accident. Who could be mad at that?

Shivers is an amazing local staple, I have never had a bad experience here. My personal favorite items are the Italian cream sodas, the cows (specifically root beer), and of course the concretes (I like vanilla with marshmallow fluff, banana, and sprinkles.)

Great experience, delightful food. Had the Chili Mac daily special, Club Sandwich, Crab Bisque and Potato Soup. Very much recommend the Club sandwich and Crab Bisque. Chili Mac was good also. The Potato Soup was not to our liking. It was water based rather than cream or milk, gritty rather than creamy, a style I don't really care for... Someone else may love it. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. 5 STARS.

Shivers always does an awesome job. I can rely on the goodness of my morning coffees and the staff is always in a great mood. I’ve never had a Grumpy Gus! Not even once!

The wife and I absolutely love Shivers! Service is amazing and they have so many delicious flavors. We like mixing it up each time so this recent visit my wife got the flavor of the day Mississippi Mud Sundae! Fudge,Oreo,and chocolate ice cream she absolutely loved it. I on the other hand do not prefer chocolate whatsoever so thanks to shivers wide variety that accommodates to all preferences. So I got the graham cracker concrete add pineapple chunks just simply wow lol absolutely on point! So highly recommend and Shivers will always have our business! Thanks Shivers!!

Even though I went through the drive through at a busy time, the line moved quickly. The young man who took our order was pleasant and helpful. There is no better place than Shivers for a delicious frozen treat imo ❤

I had the cappuccino cookie concrete. It was fantastic! The young lady that served us, Kat, was very polite and helpful!

Shivers is my favorite place to go on a hot day or even a cold day. I love their custard. I would also recommend the frozen coffee drinks they have. When I come here I usually get a strawberry butterscotch shake or a cup of custard with toppings.

They have free dog ice cream cups. Delicious menu and coffee drinks.

We moved away from Alton and my biggest regret is leaving Shivers. Some super awesome friends brought us some on dry ice last year...Makes me sad we can't just grab Shivers in the evenings anymore.

I tell my friends that we bought our house in Godfrey because it was exactly the same distance to Shiver's Frozen Custard and Roper's Regal Beagle. Shiver's is the Ted Drew's of Godfrey. People drive from all over to get frozen custard from Shiver's because it's always fantastic! This is a clean, well-managed business. When giving directions to our house, I always mention Shiver's Frozen Custard as a landmark because so many people eat there! Highly recommended!

Great place for a huge variety of tasty treats! Prices are fair, quick and friendly service. Anything from coffee to concretes you won't be disappointed coming here!

Always exceptional customer service. Like chick fil a type customer service. Seems like the employees actually enjoy their jobs. Ice cream is always good no matter what I get.

They have most amazing tasting ice cream. But I suggest going early & putting it the fridge, because there is always a long line at night!

By far the best local frozen custard. The BEST chocolate custard. It also took me a while to try their coffee but their flavored iced lattes are my absolute favorite.... way better than starbucks/scooters. So yummy and the most genuinely nice people that work there!

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Allison makes the best coffee drinks. Love the cold brew with cold foam.

Service is fast and staff is always very friendly. They have great coffee options (including cold brew, espresso, etc.), and typically a better price than non-local coffee shops in the nearby area without giving up quality

This frozed custard I think is better than Culver's. It was so smooth and creamy. I had the Artic Turtle and the fugde that Shiver's uses is this turtleis not the cheap stuff. My husband had frozen custard with chocolate hard shell, peanut butter topping, chocolate chip cookie with whipped topping. He let me have a taste, I don't like whipped cream, but this tasted homemade and not store bought. If you are in Godfred,Illinois check Shivers out.

Best ice cream in town and they have the nicest staff!
