Chicago's Chicken Shack Broadview

I’ve seen this place for awhile and one day decided to try them. This was the best decision I’ve made when it comes to chicken and has become one of my favorites.

Nothing less than great. I come here at least once a week to eat. The staff here have the best hospitality and cater to whatever you need whether you’re dining in or getting them to go. The food is fresh, the music is good and the prices are unbeatable. If you’re in the area and want home felt service and great food I highly recommend trying Chicago’s Chicken Shack.

This is some great food! I say food because we have honestly tried it all. Our first experience was at the concession stand at Proviso East. My daughter asked for wings and she ate them all! She said they were her favorite wings. Truth be told she calls them, the Proviso East wings. She asked for a tray for her birthday party. The wings are always properly seasoned, they never lack flavor. The shrimp is fresh, and also always seasoned to perfection. The service is great, they always treat you with respect. You do have to pay over the phone with a card when ordering. Which is understandable when ordering food, to cut down on waste. The owner's are always very involved in the community and always give. Why not support someone, who supports our community! You can't go wrong with anything you order from here. We have had the fish, okra, and fried pickles. This is a must try if you're on the are, or at a Proviso East High School event. We order once a week from here.

Decided to finally give this Chicken Shack a try. It's mainly wings and sides, so if you're expecting full/half chicken or thighs and breast you may want to look elsewhere. Now if you're looking for some chicken wings on steroids (not really they just look like they are) then this is the spot. They have a couple of flavors to choose from. I tried the lemon pepper which was a little under seasoned, but that's because I'm used to them being a little over seasoned. Fried okra and fries for sides along with shrimp and catfish as separate entrees. All orders are served with a side of coleslaw and a slice of bread, but the only give you one slice so if you need more don't forget to ask. Sauce is added to the chicken during preparation. If you're not into mild or hot sauce then I recommend letting them know when placing your order. All in all it was a good experience. Enjoy!

I appreciate the clean restroom. For me that’s a sign of pride in your business. Clean bathroom and clean kitchen. The staff were ALL exceptional from counter to cook. Everyone shared a warm smile and a kind professional demeanor. My food was cooked fresh to order, which I also appreciated (so please be patient). Authentic Chicago mild sauce! I ordered a wing bucket (25pcs), a large fry, and banana pudding which cost me about $40. Overall great experience, from food to service. First time in this establishment, the customer service representative was so pleasant we'd had order take out.
When we got home the chicken was delicious 😋, but the only thing I didn't like was the shrimp it was too spicy and the coleslaw to me was horrible 😫, but everything else was great

5 star service and food. Atmosphere was nice and clean. The young man that took our order was nice and inviting. I'll definitely be back!

Great place for a snack or dinner! Chicken wings, catfish, shrimp, fries(not plain old tasteless fries, these are yummy), special made desserts in house like banana pudding, cobbler, krazy grapes that are like a taffy apple, specialty lemonade (with hibiscus, strawberries or lavender!). The mild sauce (not like hot medium or mild salsa but a Chicago special sauce) is awesome and I recommend the lemon pepper as well. Chicken is seasoned deliciously all by itself, so no need for sauce but it's a great addition. I got the 4 wings dinner all around for about $7 and it filled me up, great deal, good food, friendly service, can't go wrong! Come and support a local veteran when you eat here!

What an AWESOME experience! As a first-timer, I called first to find out if we could dine in. Mahogany answered the phone. Excellent cust svc. She was so nice that I decided to go there that day. She helped us order. 10 succulent wings were cooked fresh to order and was crazy delicious. Loved the fries. Didn't need ketchup. Then she suggested their homemade sweet potato pie. I reluctantly accepted her mini sampler because I ONLY like mine, until I tried theirs. Scrumptious! Also the owner took time to chat with us, super nice. Oh and the place was CLEAN. Even the bathrooms were super clean. I felt very comfortable eating there. Then I learned that they also have homemade peach cobbler, just not that day. I can't wait to go back next week to try it. Affordable prices. Between the fantastic food & friendly staff, they have garnered a new customer. I highly recommend this place.

Picked up 100 wings this past weekend. Greeted with a smile, restaurant was clean and food was ready. Wings were fresh and seasoned to perfection. Great job Chicken Shack you gained a new customer.

I’ve been hearing about this restaurant and when I finally decided to visit today I was satisfied from the customer service to the taste of the food. I order the “Taste” where it sampled the wings, fish, shrimp and fries. Everything was good and made fresh to order. I will continue to eat from here again.

Omg! This was my first time here and they were awesome! I called myself "trying" a couple pieces the 1st time. I ended up going back later on the same day for dinner! The staff were very friendly. Their chicken reminded me of home, seasoned perfectly, a comfort food. Loved the breading of their chicken.

Great food, great customer and great location. My food was hot, fresh and made to order. The beautiful lady that assisted me with my order has stellar customer service and recommended delicious food. The food was seasoned to perfection. The shrimp were huge. The fish was sooo good. The chicken is everything. Everything with lemon pepper with mixed sauce, LISTEN! The desserts and drinks are great as well. I love that we have another black owned business out here giving places a run for their money. I cannot wait to support again.

Every time I come in the food is always fresh and seasoned to perfection. This is almost always my go to spot for lunch.

My first time trying the fish, chicken and shrimp combo and it was delicious. Everything was hot and fresh. See will be returning. Staff was very polite also.

Visiting from Texas. Gotta say ordered the small fillet and it was perfectly cooked and large fillets for a small order. Flavor was on point and had a great crunch. The okra was great. Great atmosphere and very friendly inside. Definitely Recommend
