JC's Ristorante

A very old school Chicago italian eatery. Very sociable bar area and large dining area. The locals tell me JC's has been around forever and is a staple among the locals.
Service is unbelievably friendly and helpful with suggestions and proactively taking care of your needs from drinks and bread down to take out boxes.

I tried the sausage parmesean, never knew such a dish existed! Very generous portions! If I wasn't getting on a plane, I would have taken the rest home.

My wife and I were there with friends and had a wonderful time. The food was not only good but plentiful. The service was good and atmosphere was good because the restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. They put us in the back away from the front bar area where it was crowded and noisy . The six of us were able to carry on conversations without any trouble. We will definitely go back!

1st time here and food was soooo good. Owners came. Pizza was on point and my wife ordered chicken alfredo was so good. Owner came out greeted us and she told us that this was their last year operating. If you been curious about the food like me i suggest you try them totally worth it. The portions are big and affordable.

This was one of those food finds that pleasantly surprises you every time. Why? Because the outside is very unassuming and this Pub is in an industrial area. As soon as you walk inside you are greeted by a very nice lady who then takes you to your table. The first thing I noticed is how large this Ristorante is on the inside. I don't know how many people can be seated at the same time, but it is a lot. There were four of us, and we had never been here before, and we were greeted with smiling faces. Our waiter was great and had personality which is a refreshing find anymore.
The food was fantastic! I had a steak and baked potato, and it was all cooked perfectly, and the taste was out of this world. The bread that was delivered to our table was fresh and tasty. The staff was what made us feel comfortable. Usually places like this are geared toward being friendly to locals, and indifferent to strangers. This place made us feel right at home. On the way out, a gentleman shook our hands and bid us good night. I assume that was the owner. That is old school classic customer service! We loved everything about this place and we will be back for sure. If you are a business owner and you find your staff is struggling to give good customer service, then go eat here so you can take some notes on what's missing! Keep up the great work JCs, and no doubt you will be around 50 years from now. Oh, and PS...what would it take to reserve your Limo service? True style in your parking lot!

The picture doesn't do this dish any justice. Perfection. Great service. Huge servings. Plenty of room to have a cozy dinner with friends and family.

I often stop by for lunch to order a salad with calamari paired with a cabernet. Quick summary - the food is always fresh and delicious (thanks for the warm bread). The staff & service is consistently friendly and attentitive. The dining area is clean with framed memorabilia covering the walls. Fellow patrons have been cordial and welcoming. The music and TV volumes are low enough to have a productive conversation. Bottom line - exit 1st Ave onto Joliet Road west, pull in to JC Pub and enjoy your meal.

Always a great dining experience at JCs. The owner Joe is always there to greet you and ensure you enjoy your meal. Our go to is the Lasagna and their newest drink the Frango Mint martini. They have karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays which is always fun. If you liked the movie Goodfellas, you'll love this place.

I just had the breaded steak sandwich. My 1st time eating here. Recommend by a who knows a guy. I'm very impressed. The red sauce for my sandwich was superb, definitely home made. Fu-get-abot-it. Even the curly fries were handmade not frozen. When I walked in the atmosphere was completely unexpected, but elegant and classy. I can't wait to take a dame here. Quite impressive. Don't judge this book by its cover or you'll sleep with da fishes. I also recently tried the chicken broccoli fettuccine alfredo one of the best I've ever had you can tell the sauce is homemade 100% authentic and the bread rolls taste like crumbly pizza crust most original role I've ever had absolutely delicious.

Great place to eat with family and friends. Joe and his staff are amazing!!! If you never been there before, make it a must!

Always the best food. The Italian cuisine here is some of the best on the south side. Sausage Parmesan is always amazing.

INCREDIBLE! The dinner rolls are out of this world and the soups are unbeatable! Very friendly staff and terrific food in a casual setting! One of the best restaurants in Chicago!

Baked clams and steak were fantastic. Beyond great and hard working staff. The owner Joe is a great guy and will check up on you during your meal to make sure everything is going well. I can't recommend it enough!

We went on new year's eve without reservations. We were allowed to sit at the front bar where the bartender was hustling non-stop. We had 2 drinks while we waited for a server that would take a few seconds to take our order. The food from their holiday menu was limited but included a great variety. We had a great meal. 🍸 🍹 s and coffee with great service, by employees that worked very diligently that evening. 👏

Great place! Steak, seafood, Italian, sandwiches and their PIZZA all fabulous and large portions. Joe and his staff do a great job serving all! Plenty of seating room, for couples in the bar area up to banquets in one of the dinning areas.
Live entertainment on weekends.

OMG! 10 stars! visting from Florida and the rave reviews I got about JC’s was on point! Portions are monsterous! Food is absolutely delicious! The sausage, peppers and pasta was incredible and the fried calamari is the best that I have ever eaten! This will be our first stop every time we visit Chicago from now on.

The food was very good. I had 2 appetizers, the spicy calamari and the fried zucchini. I swear I thought my mother was in the kitchen!
There was a nice crowd in the place for a rainy night. I went over to the bar. This place has the feel of an old school restaurant/bar. The owner Joe came over. He is a super nice man. He shook my hand and made me feel like we were in his home. I appreciate that. The wait staff was friendly while they were busy. I had a couple of drinks. Being a work night, it truly was a couple of drinks. I will be back. I'd suggest you go here and not miss out on this gem when you're in the area. You won't break the bank either!
