Dr. Gregory S. Mcglone, DMD

I started seeing Dr. McGlone around the year 2000 when his then-wife brought him into her practice in Union, KY. Most of my male dentists have been harsh on me, but Dr. McGlone wanted to find out why I was scared of male dentists si I told him. He understood and always treated me with kindness and the willingness to use nitrous oxide whenever I felt I needed it.He was always happy and jovial when he talked of his family. He had two daughters with Dr. Derringer. I enjoyed going to him for 15 years and then, he sent a letter letting his patients know that he was leaving. Dr. Derringer would take his patients. I was shocked! First, I felt betrayed by his leaving without giving a reason, and then, I felt that this was most unprofessional. I learned that he and Dr. Derringer divorced in 2013. The last time I saw him, he was not his usual happy self. He hardly talked and he did not give me the bear hug he always had done, telling me he "loved me" because I had to use military dental insurance and they do not pay well, although they take $67.00 per month from my husband's retirement check. I was hoping he would open his own office or join another local practice. He did not. The last I heard was he went to Denver. A Florida boy to Colorado - quite a change! I wish him luck, but I would still like to have him as my dentist. I give him 5 stars!!
