Wow! Came here for a bit of a father/brother reunion and it was solid. Rich food accompanied by delicious beer served out of a boot. Music was a bit loud but it was to be expected IMO. Will return for their mushroom schnitzel and pork knuckle!

So much fun! Authentic German experience. The beer was delicious, the food was excellent, and the entertainment was fantastically delightful. We all enjoyed ourselves.

1dt visits. It was a time since I was in a 🇩🇪 restaurant. The service was par to none and the food quality excellent! I got the braised pork & my companion had salmon also we had escargot a d potato packages along with red cabbage. In summary, it was a great dining experience. Recommended!!!

Came a long way from Canada. We heard good things. The rumors are true! This place has it all. Great atmosphere, great service and unreal food. Completely exceeded our expectations. Always the best food, excellent/amazing service and a great time. We always feel welcome and like family when we come to dine. Been a long time customer and keep bringing new customers to enjoy the experience. Then they can't get enough of this place lol

A phenomenal classic in Frankfort. It's nice to see traditional food from European countries, plus I love the world war II memorabilia. The food may seem pricey at first but you're getting two or three meals out of each plate.

This place is amazing and a true gem. Everything we had to celebrate Oktoberfest were delicious, and service was great. They just renovated the patio, which looks beautiful and accommodating. We’ve been here twice already and plan to come back many more times. There are so many items to try. Ask them about Chef Klaus’ story, fun fact he came from Frankfort, Germany!

I had the jalapeno pork chop special. My wife had the swiss carbon chicken. Both were delicious. The atmosphere even without the live music was great. Loved the accordion, french horn, and especially the bells! Edelweiss forever!

Reuben sandwich is my absolute favorite. I usually get a sandwich and a schnitzel so that I have leftovers. Service is always friendly and the live music is nice without being too loud.

We loved visiting this authentic German restaurant. The place had steins and plates, Black forest cuckoo clocks and Hummels.
The staff was friendly and my food was superb. I had leftovers for two days the portion was big. Every weekend there is music in the larger room. Birthday parties can be held here. Make reservations as the restaurant fills up quickly. Incredible experience. A must see!

The food was incredibly good and the was A LOT of it. The service was very good and the employees were all very nice! It is a bit on the pricey side but it is well worth it.

Fantastic German restaurant, great beers and desserts. We love the sauerkraut, red cabbage and the bratwurst.

What an amazing restaurant. The server was exceptional, he was personable, professional, and he knew dishes well. His recommendations were spot on. The environment is welcoming and homey. Can't say enough good about this location. I will be back.

Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt! Their German-speaking waitress, Megan, was phenomenal and eager to share the German language with me. She even wrote the names on the takeout boxes! I ordered the "Wurst Schnitzel" which was an assortment of sausage (Wurst) slices on a tenderloin (Schnitzel), with mushrooms (Pilze) und cheese (Kase). For soup (Suppe) I tried "liver dumpling" (Leberknodel) and my god... it tasted so good! "Handmade, just like Oma would!"
And I'm NOT a fan of liver anything! Today that changed!

My potatoes (Kartoffeln) choice was potato pancakes (Kartoffelpfannkuchen) and my veggie (Gemuse) was red cabbage (Rotkohl).

Megan made it an extremely pleasant experience and I am hoping to stop by again on my way through.

Husband and I found this little gem while I was on a business trip in the Matteson area.
THE best German food we have had. We have visited twice now. Both experiences delightful.

Ask for their Kasseler Rippchen. *Photos of leftovers provided, fresh plate photos have been posted individually. Texture like a pork chop that falls right off the bone but, tastes like a chop, ham, bacon, hot dog, all in one.

A unique delicious plate for those looking for something different but a classic.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun! Definitely worth the hour drive it takes for us to get there! German food with large portions!

The food is honestly so good. We just picked up catering for my daughter's 2nd birthday party this weekend (this was our second time having them cater a party of ours) and the food is exceptional. We had catering for 20 people and I bet the amount could have fed 40. We got weiner schnitzel (which I actually now prefer over the chicken schnitzel), chicken schnitzel, spaetzle & gravy, red cabbage and saurkraut (which I almost thought we didn't need but YES you do - it ties in the meal so perfectly), potato pancakes with apple sauce and sour cream(they told me they might not travel well/get greasy but no they're so good they travel just fine). Everyone was raving about the food. The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity. Highly recommend. They were missing something when I picked it up (mess kits?) and they were apologetic and willing to bring some out but I still don't even know what those are and clearly they weren't necessary anyway. We have already decided we will have them cater her party every November!
