I absolutely love this store. The owners along with all the workers are always friendly and helpful. This store is truly a gem. My family saves a ton of money and the produce is always so much better than any grocery store. If you are ever in area this is a truly MUST VISIT. You will not be disappointed.

A friend told me about this place in Plainfield, (there is also one in Chicago). It is a plant based store, which is great for our family, who have dairy and gluten allergies.
If you go on certain days the prices drop on a number of items since they don't want them to go bad.
So be ready to use items fast so the money you just saved doesn't go in the trash.
I picked up a flat of strawberries for $4.00 and I'm getting them ready to freeze for making smoothies.
I was able to get other veggies and fruit at a great price. You need to watch what you pick up...some of the other fruit and veggies are just as expensive as any other store.
The reason to go here is the discounted items, and the awesome staff. Plus things you can't find anywhere else.
There is also an extra bonus, if you sign up for their "points" system, you will get an extra 15% off your total for that day. Just mention it when you go check out. I bought a lot, all for under $19.

Peter Rubi is a hidden gem in Plainfield. At times when prices are inflated, they offer a reprieve to the consumer’s pocketbook. Healthy produce at a very reasonable price keep us coming back.
My son recently tried the plant based soft serve product and compared it to Wendy’s Frosty. We enjoy how the store is expanding with additional staples and fun products lile the soft serve station!

I forgot to mention how friendly the staff is and the atmosphere is always positive when we shop.

I love this place! The prices and produce are awesome. We also met the new owner today, she was very sweet. 😀

They also have my favorite guacamole.

This place is amazing! They have the best, healthiest produce available, plus lots of other packaged vegetarian and/or vegan foods. They are BIG into healthy eating options. They have phenomenal sales where you can get very ripe food for very low prices. It's so fresh, they have to get rid of it quickly. Their parking lot is really tiny though, but so worth it!

Affordable and fresh! I make a special trip here for my produce needs. They even have a piece of complimentary fruit for children.

Great produce and best part is all the basket deals they have each week. It is one of the few places we enjoy getting emails and text messages from to let us know the deals for the week. Just got a 2 lb. Strawberry box for $2.99!

My family loves PETER RUBI. We shop here for our Produce if we are going to be using it in the near future. The staff is always so friendly and welcoming! Wonderful place to shop! And now a second location is even more opportunity to get the great deals and wonderful produce and organic all natural products

Vegan food paradise. Everything in the store is vegan! Some prices are high, but great priced produce. And now every other week Kitchen 17 will be in the store selling pizza slices. Delicious! So bring your containers to take some home for later

The staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The produce is exceptional. The prices are a great deal whether you are buying a few things or in bulk. You can get even better deals as the produce is marked down before anything goes bad. There's an interesting selection of different food and wellness products, local products from dried goods, drinks, condiments....there's not many stores like this anymore.

This has been my favorite place to buy fresh fruits and veggies. The prices are great and the quality is outstanding. Always a very good selection of organic produce and mushrooms. If chopping up stuff isn't your thing, they carry a variety that will cut your kitchen prep time exponentially. They also make up party trays, which is nice 👌

This place has the best deals on produce that you can get. Everything is very fresh and they have a small organic section. Sometimes they have special deals like today- $1 organic blueberries. They also have their own prepackaged mixed vegetables, dips, and sauces. They also carry some unique grocery items.

Absolutely love this place. Their selection is huge of fresh fruits and vegetables. Nothing rotten on the shelves like the typical supermarket. Everything is a good quality the employees here are also amazing. Willing to walk you through the different types of vegetables organic and regular to determine what it is that you want. They also are active in the community and do some pretty awesome events in correlation with other local businesses.

This is hands down my favorite place to shop. You can not beat the quality and variety of different fruits, veggies, herbs, mushrooms and more. They have amazing prices and the best employees who are always willing to help you and answer any questions.

I absolutely adore the store! It’s mainly produce with a few other healthy add-ins and other grocery items. I love their basket deals and their pre-chopped vegetable packs for meals like stirfry, fajitas, and general vegetable mixtures are a huge timesaver and are really reasonably priced. I love that they have a ton of vegan offerings such as their sour cream, queso dip, fruit dip, and others. Their chunky salsa is amazing as well. There are so many vegetables I’ve never heard of or tried and I’m excited that I get to do so at a reasonable price. The staff is always very helpful and friendly as well. And I also love that kids get a free apple or banana when they visit the store. Also a big fan of their text messages with their deals. Highly recommend; you should check it out if you live in the area.

I cannot say enough great things about this grocery store. It’s a gem. Fresh produce, clean, organized and nice staff. I have been coming here for years and tell everyone I know about this place. I am a forever customer.

I love this store. It's always clean and inviting, with attractive produce at insanely good prices. Today, I got a basket of 8 zucchini for $2, asparagus for $5 for an 11 pound case, and organic raspberries for 99 cents a package. The owners are on a mission to make it more affordable, and they are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!

Love this place. Great selection of fruits and vegetables. They have had things I have never heard of or tried until they opened. The fruits and veggies are always displayed very nicely. The store is always clean and the employees are very knowledgeable. They have Organic and non organic sections, so everyone has a choice. Nice selection of bulk nite and dried fruits. Love their homemade salsas and guacamole. I spend more money here than at the grocery store, but not because they are expensive, but because I go in there to buy a few things and come home with a refrigerator full of goodies. You really can't go wrong here.

This place is fantastic. When I walked in for the first time in December I thought I had been transported to mid-summer at the best farm stand ever. Huge variety of produce and it all looks like it was just brought in from the field. Prices are as good or better that large chain stores.
There is magic here. The staff is happy! The customers are happy! The veggies are happy! Don't pass up an opportunity to visit Peter Rubi Produce.
