Carter Lumber

I switched my 600ft two-tier deck from treated lumber to composite and purchased all materials through Carter Lumber on US25 in Florence KY - during the height of COVID and increasing lumber prices. Surprisingly, composite prices had stayed the same AND they had everything in stock!

I worked directly with Harrison Young. He’s your guy! Knowledgeable, pleasant and responsive. Harrison followed up on everything, took care of a minor issue with delivery and made the process of returning unused items easy. He also helped us select our railing which was an unexpected switch from our plan and we LOVE them.

Forgo the big box HD or Lowes, Carter Lumber is the place!!!

I just want to say thank you to Carter lumber! I’ve been calling all over for cedar shining. No one had it in stock. I called Carter lumber and talk to Dan. He was so helpful and not only finding it add another Carter lumber location in Mason, but went above and beyond to make sure I could get what I needed to finish my job. I will definitely be using Carter lumber again.

Working with Harrison was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! I waited a long time and spent a lot of money to redo my deck, and Harrison made it less painful than I expected. Great products, service and a great guy to work with.

While delivering lumber on our small cul de sac street your driver Dwayne was very courteous not to drive thru yards when turning around. Really appreciated that!

Leaving a one start review. Could not place the order over phone. I am end user. Contractor ask me call pay and have delivered to jobsite. Refused to take card over the phone. Told me I would have to drive there in person. Which is hour away. Ridiculous. Going somewhere else. So was able to get everything from McCabe Lumber. And it was $700 cheaper. Thank you for not taking my payment and saving me some cash because of your poor customer service.

Just received trusses from carter absolute junk material used to build them.

High prices and the wood is low quality. Ordered a deck and when they delivered the material the wood was like Lowe’s quality. I was told when I placed the order with Bryan that the wood was higher quality then most places around in the tri state. They lied and also over charged me. I recommend you stay far from this place they don’t care about the diy guy and only Focus on the big contractors that don’t care what wood they get. These people are rude inside and out and will do anything to make a profit Margin.STAY AWAY

If this comment is fake. People check other locations comments they are saying the same exact thing as this comment. Also this is the only negative comment that haves been responded too by owner. Seems to me the employees are more worried about protecting there comments then actually working or helping customers. Don’t believe me go in there and see for yourself.
