Sapori Italian Bakery & Cafe

I came upon this place via GrubHub and I am NOT disappointed. I thought the portion of beef ravioli was small but found that it actually filled me up. The sauce was subtle but full of flavor and the beef did not take away from that. They married together beautifully and made an amazing dish that I want more of! Of course I had to leave room for dessert and it was utterly delicious. Crispy pastry and Bavarian cream topped with delicate whipped cream and sliced strawberries. The flavors and textures worked very well together and made a dessert beyond comparison! Definitely check this place out and try these two dishes for the perfect meal!

This place is like taking a step back in time. It was a glorious experience. The food, the drinks and the vibe….I’ll definitely be back. Park at Union Street Grill for easy parking. As we were walking out I eyed some delicious looking crepes so my husband promised to bring me back for some. Yum!

This place was so good, it made me sad I’m not local and cannot dine here weekly. They have a variety of menu options, I tried two gf crepes. A sweet and a savory and it was delicious! I tried the Italia savory crepe which was stuffed with ricotta, spinach, mozz and tomato! (Yummy!) and then I always tried the (I believe it was called the double dessert?) it had Nutella and the BEST pistachio cream sauce - I just loved it. Contemplating going back to Ogden just to eat here again. My husband tried their raviolis in a rose sauce and liked it!

The dining space has tables and chairs that are comfortable, the atmosphere is great, lots of natural light and fun decorations. They also have a case of fresh pastries, my husband tried several and loved them. I wish they had a gf pastry option because they all looked divine.

Such a fun little spot. All of the food was delicious. We ordered the Penne Bolognese, Ravioli & Penne Broccoli and Sausage. My favorite was the Ravioli. Highly recommend it!

We also tried some sweet treats - Cannolis, Homemade Hot Chocolate & Strawberry Zeppole. All delicious but the Zeppole was our favorite.

This place is good for every occasion - date night, bring a book by yourself or even a family outing.

We really enjoyed our experience here.

We showed up a little early, not realizing they didn’t open until 8:30. Completely our fault for not checking. The staff kindly let us wait inside while they finished prepping for the day.

We tried a few items from the menu and really liked it all. Not too sweet, very large portions, and the cappuccino was perfect.

We did have one small issue where we didn’t receive a part of our order, but they were quick to rectify and incredibly kind.

We’ll be back again for sure.

Stopped in an hour before closing this weekend and they were still churning out desserts! We were happy to see it, because this was our first time in and we wanted to try the cannoli. Took all the fresh cannoli they had and added a couple other items too. It was all amazing! Definitely give this place a try.

I'm super excited that I finally found an amazing pastry shop! They are super friendly and have delicious baked goods! You'll definitely see me as a regular!

I’m breezing through town and love crepes, so I decided to check this place out. The inside is decorated well, it’s very cute. I walk in, it’s just me and the cashier.. She kindly walked me through how to order and what the most popular items were. I ordered two crepes, a pistachio croissant, and the mushroom ravioli.
These portions.. I did NOT expect. I could have invited my five closest friends to share one crepe! They were fluffy, delicious and looked great to boot. The Fruita crepe was a bit sweet for my liking, but it was offset by ripe and slightly tart fruit. The pistachio croissant is more of a hazelnut flavor with salted pistachios on top. The flavors again offset eachother well.
I boxed my crepes, and will enjoy coming back.
*Also, the girl at the register actually cooks your crepes so I wish I had tipped her more. Another time!

It is so cute in here! The people are fantastic here, very sweet! My husband got the meat ravioli -those were delicious, my sister got the Italian savory crepe-very tasty, I had the fruita crepe- it was very delicious! My sister and I also split the bavarian cream croissant, yummy! I got a cappuccino it was sublime. We will be back

It's like a trip to Sicily!

We came in for a sweet treat and left with five! It was amazing! The gelato is SOOOO yummy and creamy! The cannoli was amazing, sweet but not too much. Everything was divine! It's so fluffy, and the pastry dough is so delicate!!! I won't be getting to Sicily anytime soon, but it's nice to know that in Ogden I can be transported there when I walk through these doors. The service was great! The dining room is clean! It reminds me of the movie Chocolate while at the same time the vibe of Mamma Mia.....it's perfection!

This is a darling bakery with lots of great pastry options. Our absolute favorite was the chocolate coffee mousse cake. It was amazing! We would like to try the strawberry next time! The customer service was great too, I’m glad we stopped.

The cannoli and zeppola are unbelievable. So good!!!! They also have Chai lattes that are worth it.

What a divine little spot with such authentic Italian pastries. Best pastries I've had in Utah for sure! I tried something new with orange creme and it was fabulous. The coffee was wonderful and the service and ambience also welcoming with historic feel.

Update: Several years later, Sappori is still one of my family’s favorite places to go. We recently purchased a large tart from them for a birthday and it was phenomenal. The fruit was so delicious and ripe and it was February. We absolutely recommend this bakery.

We've been to Sapori several times since they opened and have never been disappointed. The environment is very open, comfortable, and appropriate for a date or a quick stop for treats with kids. Their menu has expanded a lot since opening and they offer many more savory and meal options which has been a welcome addition! In the winter time, we love their house made hot chocolate and crostata pastry. Our family tries to stop by whenever we are passing through Ogden.

Pastries are amazing! The customer service was great too. The cashier walked us through what each pastry was and the different flavors. The espresso was amazing and my wife loved her chai tea. Perfect place for a morning or afternoon coffee and a pastry.

I make it a point to stop here at least once when I’m in town. My last visit (October 2023) I had the pleasure of introducing your fabulous cannoli’s to an Ogden local! I rave about Sapori Italian Bakery every chance I get and to anyone who will listen. The coffee, baked goods, and lunch options are all delicious and something I always look forward to! Can’t wait to see you on my next visit to Ogden!

The pastries are out of this world!!! They are worth every penny. My favorite is the cassata and anything that has puff pastry, it’s so flaky and delicious 🤤🤤 this is such a good spot!

Genuine Italians run this nice pastry shop. They have some great meal items and of course, pastries. We came about an hour before closing, so the cannolis were gone, but enjoyed the pastries. The brioche is tasty. Not a flaky pastry, more of a light bread with custard, strawberries and whipped cream. Use a fork and knife. We had the house-made hot chocolate. Very rich cocoa flavor. Very nice and accommodating owners. This will be a hit.

This restaurant is SOOO good. I'm a picky eater, but I love every dish I've tried at Sapori Italian Bakery & Cafe. There are still menu items calling my name, so I have to go back. I look forward to my next visit!

This place is great! The 2 women working were very friendly, and these pastries far exceeded our expectations! The top one was a puff pastry with 2 small lines of chocolate in it 🤤 and the bottom one was a lemon ricotta pastry. We will definitely be back soon.
