My husband and I visited this book store recently and absolutely loved it. A great selection of books, a sweet shop cat, and a wonderful book chat with the man at the front desk about the author Peter Heller - a wonderful recipe!

Always a pleasure looking through the books. I usually buy sale books and if I ever need a book Andy doesn't have in stock he orders it and is always prompt in calling when it comes in.

If Andy doesn’t have it he will order it. I love having a book store in town. I’m sure it is one of the reasons my child is an avid reader.

One of the only privately owned book stores left in Maine. I always love to go here. he has a wide variety even though it's a very tiny store. The prices are good and I like to support local business

I visited BookStacks in early July 2022 with my own book in hand and a flyer for a book-signing event that was happening soon thereafter. The owner greeted me graciously, purchased the copy of my book, agreed to place the flyer about my event in a prominent location for customers and passersby to see it, and insisted on providing change when the value of the gift certificate I used to purchase a book from him was not completely consumed by my item selected.
He also explained the pricing that he would involve for future copies of my novel, if I wish to utilize his store as a distributor.

Due to personal circumstances, Andy has had to close the shop occasionally in the last few months, so the store is sometimes closed unexpectedly. However, the community supports the owner, and I must say that if I lived nearby, I would be in the shop almost every day! He carries a great selection of titles and authors, and a number of newspapers are available. Picturesque calendars are available for the coming year, as well as post cards and various gifts.

BookStacks is well worth your time, effort, and money! By the end of your first visit you'll wonder what took you so long to get there to begin with, and you'll already be planning your next trip to the shop.

I love this small coastal town bookstore. It is diverse with a decent selection of books, games, cards, coffee, etc. I buy cards here almost exclusively now because they are more artful and interesting. Recommend supporting this spot whenever you can!

Very nice bookstore. Andy and his staff are always top notch and eager to help. Good selection for a small town bookstore and if they don’t have what you’re looking for, they can get it. Highly recommend.

Andy and his staff are wonderful. They are very helpful Christmas elves and have great suggestions throughout the year when I'm shopping for myself or my mum. Hometown and well read and knowledgeable at the same time. Very comfortable atmosphere. They are a treasure. Worth the trio.

The owner and his staff are all extremely helpful. I admit to being a cheap bookaholic and am able to indulge that at BookStacks. Plus every so often I'll want a book whose review just appeared. If they don't have, they'll order it for you. It's a great store - well staffed by great people.

Beautiful--a wonderful selection of novels, cute cards and knick-knacks, delicious coffee (and wine, though I haven't drank that. I just assume it's good ahaha). My favorite part of this store is this one fuzzy, four-legged employee! Really makes my visits special. BookStacks is my favorite book shop. Highly recommend

Its cozy in there, and a cute cat hangs out there! A huge variety of books, I got exactly what I was looking for. The owner is friendly and helpful. There is free wifi there so you can hang out online or read a book and buy coffee there! I enjoy hanging out there!
