Community Health Options

I am a brand-new member of CHO like as of today (no April Fools) When I attempted to set up my portal it wouldn't accept my PCP as she is not accepting new patients. Nicole (the CHO Member Service Rep) immediately said, let me call the doctor's office and confirm and then I will change it in our system. I was on a very brief hold, she came back on the line and had it all taken care of. This is outstanding member service, she was genuinely happy to help me. Changing Insurances companies is not easy but Nicole instilled a sense of confidence from the moment she answered my call! Thank you Nicole and CHO for employing caring people.

I am a subscriber AND a provider. As a psychotherapist I regularly call Community Health Options and I have uniformly excellent experiences. Their customer service is outstanding. There are very short hold times---if any---and the customer service folks are knowledgeable, efficient, polite and kind. Other insurance companies keep you on hold for an hour or more ( NOT exaggerating) transfer and lose you, give inaccurate or incomplete information and essentially create stress and aggravation. Today I spoke to Jennifer, then Eliza, and then commended them to their supervisor, ben. Last week I commended one of the reps to Ben ( I am sorry, i did not know then I could write a Google review so after I talked to Ben I did not keep their name). In the last 12 months I have called Maine Community Health Options 8 or 9 times and always had my questions answered in a polite and timely manner. I just wanted to say I have been with Community Health Options for a couple years now, and my phone call with Leslie was honestly the most pleasant calls I have had with any type of support in my entire life. I just wanted to say his knowledge and kindness was above and beyond. Thank you, Leslie, for being you.

I started working with CHO last year searching for a policy for my spouse. CHO has been very responsive when we have needed them. Kristy was our representative and she did a great job for us. Highly recommend this company!

About three months ago I contacted Community Health Options to pre-register for an upcoming surgery. The representative I spoke with was the best! She explained the procedure and made me feel like I was family!
Today, a few weeks after surgery, I called back to ask some questions about my claims and the cost of some prescriptions. I spoke with another representative, Nicole, who is just as great! She is super thorough! She educated me on things that would help me save money on prescriptions. After I reassured her that I was satisfied with her help she transferred me to Express Scripts.
The representative with Express Scripts was also awesome! How can one company hire so many wonderful people?

I was struggling to find health coverage for my daughters and myself. Not knowing how the tax credit worked, plans were appearing very expensive. I contacted Kristy Pendexter and she went above and beyond to help me with the application process and to help understand the tax credit. I appreciate all her hard work through this process and feel much better about choosing a plan that works for me and my family.

I went to Immersion Recovery down in Boyton Beach to get off opiates with this plan. What a blessing. I’ve been to treatment centers in New Hampshire in mass before but this place blew them out of the water. If you need to go someplace for addiction, and don’t think you have options outside of New England, think again! I came back to Maine and ended up moving back down to FL for sober living, best decision I have ever made!

Just want to mention that the experience with this company has been absolutely outstanding! Just a shout out to say that Michelle and Nicole are extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the product they represent. I recommend this insurance company as 5 Star! This is the first private insurance that we have used and being a local company means the world to us! Thank you Community Health Options! We appreciate the care you have shown to us newbies! As an employee of CHO, I can tell you that this company is filled with amazing people who really care about their members as much as their employees. As a member service associate, I feel we go above and beyond the call of duty with every call that comes in and really work hard to make sure our members feel they are valued. This is the first time I have worked for a company where I feel my care and concern for others is appreciated and it’s not always about the bottom line. I know as an employee it’s easy to read my review and say I’m biased but that’s simply not the case. We have a huge selection of really reasonably priced plans and if you do your research, you’ll find one that works seamlessly with your lifestyle and needs. I absolutely love this company and would give anyone the recommendation to look into having them as your health insurance carrier. When they treat their own people like gold, I think that says a lot about a company’s values.

I called and spoke to Nicole- who was exceptional. She was extremely helpful in explaining the guidelines for qualifying, how to apply and if there was anything I didn't understand, to please call them and they would be happy to help.

I contacted CHO to help me resolve an issue related to finding my doctor/referrals, updating my records, and direction for correcting my mailing address. Molly directed me with each issue with kindness, patience, understanding, and knowledge of each step. I was able to contact the proper facilities, individuals, and make the proper appointments and changes necessary to start the ball rolling. I hope if ever I need to contact CHO again, I have Molly there to see me through it. Thanks Molly! You're very good at your job.

Signing up for health insurance is never easy. I spoke with Nicole D not only was it pleasant experience she was also very informative and took the time to listen to me and answered all my questions. Definitely will be asking for her in the future. Fyi....... I signed up for Community Health Options today after speaking with her. Thank you

I recently needed an expensive prescription--quickly--and learned it needed prior authorization and might cost me up to $500--and that was the discounted price! I spoke to the Community Health Options team and they worked with my doctor and the pharmacy to get the meds approved quickly and the price knocked down to $25 (with a manufacturer's coupon that the Community Health Options found for me and gave to the pharmacy). Amazing service from a great team! Thanks!

Spoke with Nicole about future medical issues and details about my insurance. Nicole was patient, smart, engaging, kind, and incredibly helpful. Hats off to her! And frankly all the other customer service reps I have spoken to a Community Health have been excellent too! Good job!

I just spoke with Nicole from MCHO and she was not only so kind and wonderful to speak with, but answered all questions I had in a timely fashion. She made sure to clarify any confusion I had, took the time to find the correct information to my questions, and made it a pleasant experience as opposed to my past ones.

My first experience calling Community Health customer service was a great one! Molly was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions, provided me with additional information, and never made me feel rushed. I felt like I was her only focus and that making sure I was comfortable was her priority. That is how customer service is done!

Spoke with Susan G this morning. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and had great customer service skills. I am writing this review because earlier in the day I did not have the same experience as I did with Susan. Again shout out to Susan G.

After signing up, I called to access my account and set up autopay. Molly was extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked me through all the steps and did a great job at explaining everything. I would recommend them highly.

I spoke to Nicole today who answered my questions with all the information I needed, helped with a website issue, and gave me useful information to (hopefully) change specialty pharmacies. I've not had any issues with my insurance coverage. It works when I need it.
