Abacus Chinese Korean Restaurant

An outstanding restaurant with even better service and prices! The orders are quite large, enough to feed at least two. Their egg drop soup is delicious and has more than simply egg, but don’t pass up the crab rangoons! They are amazing and come with a sauce that I can only describe as outstanding. This is (and will be) a place we frequent!

After 4 years of searching we found our new favorite Chinese takeout restaurant. The General Tso chicken was perfect, the shrimp fried rice was perfect. My only recommendation would be a bit more crab in the crab cheese.

The best Chinese food around! Their crab cheese are huge, lots of filling, and always crispy! We also love their sesame chicken and shrimp fried rice.
They are the nicest people and always give amazing service. Very fast and great prices. We won’t go anywhere else!

Inside the restaurant wasn’t open -but our food was quickly delivered to our car once we’d pulled up. It was hot and the flavors were delish! The menu is priced nicely -we will definitely return to try the lunch specials! Staff was friendly!

What a great place. The best in the area hands down. Fresh, great quality ingredients, awesome flavor, and great service. Mongolian Chicken is one of my favorites there. Any of the fried rices are great to try for the first time but you can not go wrong.

They did great with safety measures for Covid. The curbside service was very quick. The food was perfect and not packaged in a little cardboard container, but a heavier plastic disposable. The price was reasonable for lunch and even includes soup and an egg roll or crab cheese.

Fantastic mother and daughter team that always greet everyone with a smile and make them feel welcome. The food is plentiful and fresh, packaged nicely in containers that make reheating in the microwave simple. Flavors and taste of each dish is perfect. I always recommend Abacus to friends. Keep up the good work!

Great place to get some take out food. I will order it for my coworkers and myself, and everytime, they have always enjoyed the food. Great value and probably the best "asian" takeout place around here. The person that I have interacted with seems really nice and our order always includes the utensils and other things we would need.

They have the best Chinese food ever!! They bring it right out to your car and is ALWAYS fresh and piping hot!! I will not go anywhere else!

Best Chinese food in town. Always come back to them whenever I come back to Grand Rapids. Quality of food is high and price is good. The portion is a bit much but I dont mind eating the left over. Still taste amazing.

Me and my family have been eating at Abacus for decades at this point. Ever since they were still on 28th Street in Wyoming! I love their food, especially their crab rangoons(best in the area) and their Mongolian beef. Food is always ready in a reasonable amount of time and the serving sizes are pretty good too.

I have been following this family around for years!! I started my obsession with Abacus when they were located on 28th st, near Grandville, then they reopened as Mandarin, on 28th st in Kentwood... so when they closed last year, I was devastated. They were our favorite place to go for family meals.... So when I was driving through Grandville and saw their sign, I was like "Could it really be them?!?" Last night I brought my daughter's in for dinner, and was greeted by two smiling (familiar) faces!! I am so overjoyed that they reopened. They have THE BEST Chinese food!!! My favorite is the Mongolian Beef and Crab Rangoons, and they were amazing, and just as I remembered them. I also tried a seafood noodle soup from their Korean menu (you have to ask for their Korean menu) and that was great too. Their noodles were hand made, which I am told they are the only place in town that makes their noodles from scratch. Their attention to detail really makes all the difference. The only thing I was disappointed about, is that they no longer offer a buffet. Their food is so good, I like to sample it all. It's a must try, for anyone looking for quality Chinese food, and affordable prices. ♡

This is the best Chinese food in the greater Grand Rapids area. Their food is outstanding and made fresh. They never disappoint and are very kind people. I would highly recommend.

The food here is GREAT!! I have my favorites here, like Shrimp Lo Mein and Moo Goo Gai Pan, but each time I try something new I'm not disappointed! The only minor gripe I have is they dont have fountain pop, only cans...still a 5 star recommendation tho!!

Super lean white chicken, good beef. None of that breaded balls of fat that other places try to pass off as chicken here.

Best Chinese food in the area. Great to eat in and take out. Very nice family run restaurant with high quality food and service. Try the Crab Rangoons and make sure to get the Egg Drop Soup!
