M & T Auto Service

I literally just moved to the Grand Rapids area. The night after I got here my car started overheating. I immediately parked it and found Dave and his crew. They even provided me a ride back and forth from home and their shop. They fixed my problem for more than a fair rate and had me up in running in no time. It's not easy to find a good, reliable, trustworthy mechanic when you move to a new area. I got lucky and will be returning to M&T Auto service for any future issues. I HIGHLY recommend M&T Auto Service.

Super fast service--had my car in and out in one day. Happy to have my blower motor fixed--didn't want to have my windows fogging up while driving, and thanks to these guys, I'm safe for the road again!

Dave does a great job. With a mechanic it's important to be able to trust the work that they do and the pricing they give you. I feel that pricing is fair and I've never had any reason to question their work. They are often busy so it might be best to call ahead and schedule an appointment if possible. I've been going here for several years.

I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but Dave at M & T really went out of his way to find a part for my vehicle that was out of stock everywhere. This was the first time I had taken a vehicle here, as I usually do all of our vehicle repairs myself, but this one was a little out of my league, While trying to locate the specific part for my vehicle, Dave told me, "don't worry, I don't give up easily", and he didn't. This was not an easy repair, and not only did they do a great job, but it ended up being much cheaper than I had expected. I will be taking my vehicles there in the future when I can't fix it myself :)

I dropped my vehicle off to get it repaired because it was running rough, these guys quickly diagnosed my vehicle and give me a great estimate. Great customer service and my vehicle was repaired in the same day. I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back here in the future.

Very nice place, I had to buy two new (to us) cars, one for me and one for my wife. We live a few blocks from this place and didn't even know it was there. I decided to give them a call to see if they would check a car i was very interested in buying ('10 Chevy Traverse). They guy on the phone tells me ot would be $30 for a full check, i was cool with it since any other place asked me at least $50.
Once they checked the car and gave me a detailed list of things that it needed they didn't even charge me the $30 with the promise to give them my business in the future . I bought that car and didn't have any problem with it. I brought the car to get the things they told me to change and they charged a normal amount. I recommend this mechanic shop to anyone that is looking for a good trustworthy place where to bring your car.

My check engine light came on. I've always taken it to the dealer, so I called the dealership and they couldn't get me in for 2 weeks. I called another Ford dealer, same thing. Took my car to an auto store to get a diagnostic report. My purge valve needed to be replaced. I learned this is a common problem for Ford vehicles and that there had even been recalls. Called the dealership back and they just told me to drive like that until I could get in. I called M&T and they also had a full schedule for a week out, but Dave listened to my problem and concerns and worked with me to get me in that day. They got my valve replaced and got me back on the road quickly. I drive a lot for work, so they literally saved the day for me. I'm so grateful! They'll get repeat business from me, as well as referrals. Highly recommend!

These guys did a great job at a great price. My car had trouble about 150 miles from home, but I was extremely lucky it was near these guys. They were quick, smart in their diagnosis and very reasonably priced. It took a long time for me to find a good, trustworthy mechanic at home, I was very fortunate to find one on the road. I highly recommend them!

We have used them a few times for my husbands Jeep. But this past time, my husband was working, so all the communication was done through me on my husbands behalf; I was so pleasantly surprised. Being a woman getting work done in most industries can be frustrating. There have been multiple times where I will call and ask places for a quote, and its VERY different from the quote my husband will receive. This place was outstanding, I felt so comfortable talking to them, they did not talk down to me or make me feel stupid, they were amazing to work with, and the jeep feels brand new! I am so pleased with this place and we will be going back for all of our car needs! 10/10 recommend!

I used their services for some routine maintenance on my Subaru. I have been very happy from start to finish with everything. Dave provides excellent customer service and is very thorough with repairs.

Personable employees. Immediate quotes. They will work with their suppliers and you for best price. Very professional work, which they stand behind. It’s a small shop with no waiting room, but they get right on it and the mechanic will call you if there’s any changes in repair as he works on it. That’s right! You speak to the person who’s working on your vehicle. Very easy to setup an appointment. I’ve been highly recommending them. At least they’ve done well for me. T& M is my go to vehicle, I have a van, service.

5 stars! Very friendly and helpful staff. Recently moved to the area and I have found my new mechanic! They squeezed me in immediately to accommodate the fact that I only had a ride to work for one day and needed my car done ASAP and they fixed it at a great price! I highly recommend them!

My daughter goes to school at GV and her service engine light came on. No dealership could look at it for two weeks- Dave and the crew got it in the next afternoon and repaired it.

Dave was awesome to deal with- very professional. I will definitely take her car there again for repairs.

I just brought in my car today. I was helped by Dave who was very friendly and helped when my AC broke in my Subaru on a scalding hot day. Everyone seemed friendly and explained everything to me. These guys really seem to know their stuff ! Thank you!:)

Highly knowledgeable & honest. Only place I am confident to leave my vehicles for repair. Started going here in 2013 when we needed a new engine in an Explorer. This was the only place (after calling at least 20 others) that would give a warranty on the engine. We had a Jasper engine put into the vehicle with a 3 year 100k warranty. Our son is still driving this with well over 200k milage. Honest, and fair pricing. Highly recommend
