Amazing store. Such a wide variety of exceptionally high quality outdoor gear and lifestyle clothing. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. A must-go anytime you’re in downtown Holland.

I come here every year and am reminded of why it is important to support local businesses. They are the coolest and so nice. You can’t get this experience on Amazon…the smells, the gear, the creaks in the hard wood floors. Do yourself a favor and pop in.

My Mother LOVES this place, but we don't go here often, du to the fact that my Mother doesn't want to want to buy everything she sees! My family loves to go hiking and camping, so this place is amazing for us. They have everything you could need for outdoor activities, from water bladers, hiking boots, to biodegradable toilet paper!

My wife and I just returned from hiking the Camino in Spain after being outfitted by the Outpost. Our gear was perfect, having been fitted by the awesome knowledgeable and patient staff at The Outpost. We went to REI, nope, not even a question, The Outpost is above and beyond that experience and the prices were BETTER! Thanks guys, we had a great time!

Excellent customer service. They always take the time to ensure you have what you need and that it fits well. I purchased a backpack here and spent almost an hour trying on different packs and getting the one I picked custom fit to my body. Same with the hiking shoes I just bought. I will keep coming back here because the staff is knowledgeable and I know I will get personal attention.

Can't leave the store without something I found I could not live without. I do miss the expanded shoe department; it seems only hiking boots are left.

The Outpost was exactly what I was expecting, awsome. Mark who helped me was very friendly and even more knowledgeable. He took the time to find out what I needed for my trip and help me get great fitting boots. I also got a SUP which I have been paddling on daily since and love it. It was worth the 2 hr drive.

Called looking for a hard to find backpack after the dealer for that brand in Grand Rapids was unhelpful. The staff was friendly and courteous for the 3 or 4 phone conversations we had. They were able to order my backpack, and were just as friendly when I went to pick it up! They have a great selection of gear. Even though I live half an hour away, this will be my "home" outdoor store from here on out.

This is such a cool store. They seem to be on top of the trends and always have a great stock of gear. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly... They are not pushy whatsoever. Their prices are not amazing but they are selling the best gear in the most well know brands... as far as I can tell.

Friendly and informed staff. Went in for hiking boots and was pleasantly surprised at the level of service I received. The sales person took his time explaining each brand of boot and why he was recommending it for me. Great store.

Absolutely love this clothing store. They remind me of REI in their selection of only high quality clothing and gear. The store is easy to navigate with two floors to explore. And the staff are very friendly and super helpful.

My favorite place to shop for outdoor gear. Even when they don't have what I need they offer to order something that will. Always make sure I am pleased with my purchase. Everyone is always an expert on what they're talking about and the team work is wonderful. From fitting my hiking boots, to getting the perfect size backpack (which can be hard for a very short woman), to fixing parts on my backpack or finding the clothing I need for a trip. While visiting from Chicago, we stopped in to take a look around and found a fantastic selection of trail running shoes (which are really tough to find in Chicago!). They gave me a lot of one-on-one help and I could tell they knew what a trail ultra-runner needs. I felt like a valued customer, I received great attention, and got some helpful advice. I bought a pair of Solomon trail shoes for $60 instead of the usual $120. I've never found them on sale for less than $100. We'll stop in again next time we visit!
