We stayed at lucky lake this weekend for our very first camping trip with the kids. My kids are 5 and 2 and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We spent most of our time in the shallow lake, perfect for the kids. They loved the playground so much. The owners made sure to keep us spaced out and not to close to the other campers near us. We stayed in the rustic sites with no electrical or water hookup, but porter potties were provided and were as clean as you can expect an outside toilet to be lol. The gentleman owner was always readily available for ice and wood purchases and was seen riding around in his golf cart most the day making sure the facility was clean and making sure everyone was having a good time. He clearly cares about his camp and his guests experience.

Great spot for lakeside camping. Plenty of gorgeous lakeside sites. Lake is fresh. Management is friendly and takes good care of the place. Potties were clean and maintained daily. Showers were spacious and clean. Gets a bit of noise from freeway and occasionally the racetrack but was mostly quiet, especially overnight. There are sites away from the freeway if you desire. Other campers were friendly and courteous. Looking forward to going here again!

I stumbled across the website for this place while trying to find camping where it wouldn’t be raining on our specific dates. I’m so glad we found it! We had a great time! I was a little afraid of having a campsite right on the lake, but it turned out to be such fun. We could watch the big kids kayak from our campsite and the little kids could splash around in the shallow water. The potties were clean and well maintained. There are swings throughout the grounds that the kids had so much fun on. The only thing I would change would be to pick a site with more trees.

We always love our visits to Lucky Lake, whether there's a special event to attend or just a quiet weekend away: it's the perfect spot.

We were there for 5 days. Had a good time. One incident: we had seen dogs on the raft in the swim area so assumed it was alright to take ours. Don came over yelling at us like children instead of talking to us like adults. Other than that we had a great time. We do plan on returning. Nice clean sites. Big fire rings. Quiet area.

This campground is great. There are primitive sites, and full hookup. It's natural, not concrete. There is a great playground, volleyball, and a floating dock. The lake has a great beach area, and while I don't fish, I see many happy people fishing. While there is not a bath house, there is a two stall shower, and plentiful porti-potties. And they are kept clean.

Thanks for a fantastic weekend of camping. What a beautiful property to walk around! showers and access to firewood and ice on the property is a major plus. It's also really nice that almost all of the sites around to the lake have power hookups so that I don't have to use my generator anymore here.

Camped here for the weekend (lit 52 53)mainly due to close proximity to Michigan adventure, found it to be clean, friendly and had a wide range of activities for the kids, next time we will have to bring bikes and kayaks. I had read reviews about Don and Sue but I was met with friendly faces. Thank you for a good camping experience even with the rain and wind. Pat Smith

I have been coming to Lucky Lake yearly for Lakes of Fire since 2011. Have never had anything less than an incredible time. Floating on the lake is as close to heaven as I can get.

Will be bringing my daughter for her first camping experience soon and know she will love it as well.

Thanks Don!

We had a wonderful time, camped directly on the lake. Sue was so nice driving my wife around on her golf cart until she was happy with our lakefront site. Very well maintained and well thought out campground. Thank you Don and Sue.

Nice lake with more than one beach area. Cleaned and maintained very well. On private property. Many sites have electrical.

I had an amazing time with friends and family. The site was clean and had a fire ring.

I had to buy ice and firewood from the campground owners and the fire wasn't as seasoned as I'd have liked (so it smoked a bit more). There were swings right next door and showers across the lake from me.

Fantastic location.

We have been camping here every year since 2015! Love it and the owners are very caring!!! Our son hooked himself in the back, the next day Sue stopped by to check in on him! Don was helpful as well! Can’t wait to be back soon!!!

This campground is amazing. Despite its proximity to the highway, it is very quiet. The grounds themselves are beautiful and the swimming lake is private and enclosed to the guests. Owner is a sweet woman.

Once in a lifetime experience for the Electric Forest!! All of the best DJ's and for the size of the crowds I never saw any fights or other things that you would expect associated with such an array of different people all gathered to a single spot with intoxicants involved. If you ever get the chance to check this place out do!!

I come here yearly for Lakes of Fire and every year this campground gets better and better. A beautiful lake with a sandbar going to the center. Nice hookups for water and electric. A really well-maintained campsite

Great location near hart trail, sand dunes and amusement park, great friendly and accommodating crew and a great campground! Limited on full hookups and a popular weekend attraction but nice and quiet during the week!
