Neat spot! Infrastructure in action. Not exactly a destination but it’s really quite cool. Now if we’re talking about biking, fantastic! There’s some serious pathway here.

You can bring your lunch, since they have
picnic tables. A perfect place to walk, bike,
or jog, and you might even see a boat or 2!!
A recommended visit.

I usually take breaks here when I walk or bike along the canal. Like watching how they operate the lock.

It's a Nature's gift for the people living in Pittsford and Brighton Area. What not you can do in the Canal Trail road - Walking, Biking, skating, picnic... Whole of the Trial is picturesque and the nice breeze really encourages you to spend more time on the trial. Good Point to start the Kayaking too on the other side of the lock where you have good docks. Enjoyed this place alot. One of the Nature blessings for people.

Nice place to park and go fishing, for a walk, bike ride, or run. Plenty of parking and picnic tables too. Very interesting place to see how the lock system works as well. Make sure to go after April when the canal is filled.

Great place to target many different species of fish. I seem to have the most luck drop-shotting live minnows, but you can also use worms (even under a float) or crankbaits, etc. All of the locks look very similar, so you can use the same techniques at any of them. The fish like to sit in the current and wait for bait fish to come floating by, so fish the current! Just make sure you're using at least a 1/2 ounce weight to get your bait down.

The path is nicely paved along this area of the canal and there is lighting along some of it as well in case you're out at dawn or dusk. The park area usually has tables and a porta potty in summer.

This is a great place to picnic and watch boats go through the lock. It also has a drinking fountain outside which is convenient for the many bicyclists and joggers.
