Wales Animal Clinic

We had to bring our sweet cat in to the vet and it was sad news. Fortunately, Dr Mitch and the whole staff were super sweet and so professional. We had to say goodbye to our girl but I can honestly say that she was definitely in good hands. I highly recommend this vet!

It is clear that the staff and the doctor I met with have outstanding ethics and truly care about the pets and owners. My situation was odd, and really speaks to the credibility of my first statement. Long story short, our family dog was to be a new client (as we were new to the area), but before the appointment came around our dogs health declined drastically. I stopped by the clinic (without appointment, completely at random) and asked to chat with someone about an end of life plan for the good ole family dog. Like any pet owner, I was on the fence about choosing to put the dog down or wait it out... how do you know... what's right what's wrong... what happens if I just leave the dog be... etc. The staff freed up the doctor almost immediately, and the doctor met with me for a solid 20 minutes to talk things through. His advice was heartfelt, sincere, unbiased, and helped me greatly. He also didn't charge me a cent for the visit, which was very kind of him as every minute (in my opinion) has value for a small business. In the end, our dog passed away peacefully at home that very same night and I am simply so grateful to this clinic for their help, their approach, and just being human in this whole scenario. If we get another pet (I'm already having the kids work on mom for this one), we'll definitely be using the Wales Animal Clinic. Thank you all.

I did not see much of Joshua Stewart, but our family was a client of Todd Whitehead in the late 80s/early 90s.
Our world is changing fast, and unfortunately I am no longer loyal to only one veterinarian--
Over time, I have had various concerns with scheduling, staff and prices.
So far, Dr. Mitch and his team have done an amazing job on all counts.
My only reason for four stars is that I wish the exam would be done in my presence.

2024: Changing review to 5 stars. Exam performed in the back seems to have been a covid precaution.
All recent appointments have been both highly pleasant and effective, and I will continue returning with both dogs. Thank you Dr. Mitch and team!

Very happy with Dr.Mitch and his staff. I felt my dog was treated better then my family physician treats me! He listened to all my concerns & addressed them all. The medication I thought my dog should be on was available right in the office. So that was nice with no wait. So I definitely will go back.

I'm so happy we've switched clinics and started taking our dog to Wales Animal Clinic. Dr. Mitch and his staff have been incredibly helpful and everything has been reasonably priced.

I've experienced some sales pressure at other clinics to buy a certain food that "only they offer" or sign up for their app that I'll never use. I have not experienced that kind of pressure here.

The first time I arrived my dog pooped inside and when I asked for a bag to clean it up, the receptionist quickly got up and offered to pick it up herself. Completely unnecessary of her to do that, but still very kind.

They're honest people who care about your pets, and the services are affordable.

We haven't been clients here very long, our puppy is just 5 months old, but our experience so far has been amazing. We found Dr Mitch and the staff very kind, helpful and friendly. They made me feel at ease as a new dog owner. We just recently had a minor emergency and they were so calm and reassuring. I didn't feel like they were ordering any tests or labs that weren't absolutely necessary, they did everything in steps and took things a piece at a time. Dr. Mitch is a great doctor and I love how he explains things and took the time to go step by step to get our puppy better. I highly recommend Wales Animal Clinic and Dr. Mitch for all of your pulpy/dog needs. Thank you Doctor for the exceptional care today.

My pup is happy and healthy again thanks to Dr. Mitch. He knew exactly what to do based on my dogs symptoms and wasted no time getting things done. Dr. Mitch even called me to personally discuss treatment. Highly recommend!

Dr. Stewart and his staff are great. They always get me in when I have a concern with my pet and they always have me feeling comfortable and confident with my pets care by the time I walk out of their practice. I have been comming to this clinic for 4 years now and I don't plan on switching. I am thankful for the staff here at Wales Vet Clinic and for all they do to make sure the pets they see stay healthy. I also like that they ALWAYS call the next day to follow up on my pets to make sure they are doing okay and to see if I have any questions or concerns.

I like that the office is clean and well maintained. Additionally, its the only vet office that my dog is calm and actually excited to go into! I've had to muzzle him at another vet office once and that broke my heart. My dog had some preventative tests done and nails groomed. He came out from the back room after his services looking happy and content. His paws looked awesome. I was worried they may cut too far and hurt him. But, that was not the case. My only suggestion for this clinic is that the cost is rather high for my budget. Since my dog responds so well to staff, I continue to take him there.

I have been taking my dog Lola to Wales Animal Clinic for about 9 years now and have always been happy. Dr. Stewart and Dr. McCarthy are both friendly and knowledgeable vets. The vet techs have also been really good too. Kind of pricey but probably not much different than other good vets.

I have brought my dogs here for years. You will not find a more diligent, kind, and thoughtful vet than Dr. Stewart. Excellent care. The entire staff is warm and helpful too. Highest recommendations.

Dr. Stewart has been our primary vet for 10 years. He was referred to us by a veterinary pharmaceutical rep who knows all the vets in the area. She said Dr. Stewart is definitely the best. Wales Animal Clinic has not disappointed. Our newest member of our family was just spayed and the staff communication and follow ups were much appreciated.

I would highly recommend Wales Animal Clinic to family and friends.

Dr. Stewart and the rest of the team at Wales Animal Clinic are outstanding to say the least. Unfortunately for my wife and I our dog has been somewhat of a regular at the clinic the past few years with some substantial injury's. The staff here go so far above and beyond what you expect. I’m pretty sure my dog gets treated better here than I do at my doctor!! Haha. They are friendly and always treat your pet with kindness and respect, all while offering high quality care. I will always recommend this veterinary clinic.

Today was the first time I had taken my fur baby Holly to Wales animal clinic. The vet was very thorough, took her time and made sure to educate me on all of our options. The price was very reasonable as well. A very friendly staff and office!

Have 3 cats, 2 with chronic medical problems. Referred us appropriately, 1 ultimately has done better with care at Wales than with specialist. Both Dr. McCarthy and Dr. Stewart have been thoughtful and knowledgeable. The entire clinic staff takes a real interest in all 3 cats and genuinely cares about their health. Our "boys" couldn't receive better care anywhere else.

Wales Animal Clinic has the most compassionate, caring staff we have ever encountered in a veterinary clinic. They treat us and our dogs with the utmost respect and care. The entire team is just incredible.

First time visit. We had been going to the Waukesha Small Animal Clinic for 28 years. We were a bit aprehensive to try a new clinic but found the staff at the Wales Animal Clinic to be much more friendlier and Mike the vet much more thorough.

Everyone is friendly, including Dr. Stewart! We've been taking our cat there for 12 years. Dr. Stewart is very personable and gathers pertinent information about the health of our cat.

Always love the customer service here. Dr. Steward actually listens and seems to care. Staff is always willing to answer my many questions and go above and beyond when I'm out of state for work all the time and call in for advice. Thanks guys. I always trust yall with my puppers.
