May 6...another fabulous time. Great food and excellent service. Met the owner. So sweet. Got free desserts. And Destiny, the manager, is amazing. Cannot say good enough about them.

Went for my birthday and what a surprise! Margaritas exceptional. Food outstanding and even got a free tequila shot. Definitely a must go for awesome Mexican food and atmosphere! And kudos to Ricky, our waiter. What a sweetheart!!!

This restaurant was such a great experience, inside of a shutdown train station , customers can sit and dine inside a train car. Tried gorditas de asada, carne asada plate, carne de puerco en salsa verde, caldo de pollo. all were great and prices are 2020 prices , give them a try !

Love how Wisconsin does a great job restoring old buildings into repurposed venues. La Estación Mexican restaurant is yet another example of that. An old train station made into a Mexican restaurant. Monday dinner was quiet and pleasant with smiling faces and great service. Had the La Estación Fajitas which was a mountain of 3 types of meat on a sizzling iron cast pan. Great place for a casual meal or a date.

Definitely a place to give a try. I ordered "Lomo De Res En Chile De Arbol" Spicy, Chopped ribeye simmered in exotic chile de Arbol sauce. The spicy level was perfect for me and fresh hot when it hit the table. I eat spicy foods so probably not a good idea for someone who really can't handle spicy foods to try. My wife got some shrimp tacos that was on their special menu. Couldn't figure out what the actual name of her order was. My daughter got a cheeseburger kids meal. I drank beer while my wife got a pina colada which she said was great as well. Service was great to start then when we were waiting to get our receipt to pay and leave, we had to stop our server and ask for it as he walked past us by decent amount but didn't stop to ask if we needed anything. Not a huge deal as they were quite busy too but that's why the 4 star.

Delicious!! Went with friends for the first time and enjoyed everything about this spot. It's located in an old train station which is a really neat setting. Large menu of all the favorites .... everything we had was great. The flan and tres leches cake to finish was perfect. We had a lot of food for not a lot of money! Can't wait to come back.

We were excited to visit this place because it's an old train station and there is a real train car attached to the facility. I'm sad to share that the food wasn't that great. Being a Chicago native, we have access to amazing Mexican food and this spot was okay at best. The value for the price was not in line with what I expected. They seated us in a room in a corner, I would've loved to sit inside the train, but it looked like that section was closed. It was just disappointing.

La Estacion is a fun, historic Mexican restaurant in downtown Waukesha. The employees are so kind and welcoming, and the service is fantastic. They offer a variety of margarita flavors and they're all made with real fruit. The salsa and guacamole are flavorful and fresh. We enjoyed authentic steak tacos and chicken enchiladas/chimichangas. This is the place to stop in Waukesha if you're craving Mexican food!

Amazing. Great customer service. Needed tacos for a company meeting and they made a taco tray. I was able to add rice, beans and chips. Everyone at the meeting said the food was perfect.

We finally found our go to when we are after great Mexican food. I had the Gordita plate, which wasn't even on the menu. I cleared my plate, even the rice and beans, which were seasoned to perfection. Our server was very professional and attentive. The cost was under 40 before tip. Definitely a must stop if you're in the mood for excellent Mexican food. You can even eat in a retired railcar. Great experience overall and already can't wait to go again.

We went there on Tuesday for taco Tuesday .
Not the best taco I have ever tried but okay.
The waitress was not nice. She had kind of attitude. I give 5 star Because it’s not fair if I give them less than that because of a rude waitress.

We celebrated a birthday, Friday, April 5th here (my first time at LA Estacion), and had the BEST experience ever!!!!
The Food, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service, the friendliness... everything were beyond compare! Thank you!

This will be our new Go-to place. The food was outstanding. The service was top notch, and the place is just cool! The fajitas were so flavorful and the steak was super tender. They have, by far, the best enchiladas, and the queso was amazing.

Food, drinks and service are all top notch here. We have been to many other Mexican restaurants in the area and none compare. We especially love sitting on the patio when the weather is nice. Keep up the great work! We have been customers for YEARS and will continue. La Estacion is THE BEST!……someone mentioned that the Palomas are small and not tasty. They are served in a pint glass. What more do you want? 🤷🏻‍♀

There were three of us on a Wednesday early afternoon. We had a shrimp dish with an orange jalapeno sauce, a skirt steak dish, a skirt steak taco salad, and mango margaritas. Everything was pretty darn good.

Following a very complementary recommendation, I decided to try La Estacion. Wow! Super friendly and personable service immediately upon entering the front doors. The staff were attentive to all my needs...definitely making an effort to ensure my visit was beyond stellar!

The menu had so many different choices...definitely several options for every palette. Portions were generous and so deliciously appetizing.

The entire restaurant’s environment was kept super tidy and organized. The overall layout of the establishment was conducive to a small intimate dinner for two but also offered a large area that could cater to 50+ people.

I will be returning and hope you make this a destination to enjoy....more than positive you will not be disappointed.

Great food! Sat at the bar, the bartender was very attentive. Drinks were made very well, and the shrimp quesadilla appetizer was delicious. It was a little chilly since we were by the door, and the outside door was open for some reason.

Furst time here, and I wasn't disappointed. The food, atmosphere, and service were on point. If I were asked, would you return... heck yeah!!

The food at la estacion will likely never disappoint t you. They’ve got a phenomenal array of dinners to choose from. I e seen their Sunday brunch setup but never made it in time but it’s on my list. My husband gets the chimichangas every single time we go, he loves them. You get three of them in the meal he licks and you can choose a different meat for each one if you’d like. I like to try something new almost every time I go. Todays choice was the bistec a la mexicana. It had just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming and plenty of flavor. The only thing about them is it’s not speedy…don’t go here if you’re looking to get in and out fast because it likely won’t happen. But that’s not really the point of la estacion either…you go, you eat, you drink, you mention how full you are while still shoveling food into your mouth, and loving the amazing Hispanic food in front of you. Definitely give this place a chance!

Went in on a Saturday night at 7pm with our 3 small kids. We had Javier as our server in own train car with very few other people. Food was excellent as well as the atmosphere. But Javier was the best. He played trains sounds for the kids and kept them engaged during the meal by making jokes and making it all around a great experience. Will definitely be going back and requesting Javier!!
Edited to add that the bob marley margaritas were amazing too!!

What a wonderful place to have dinner! It's such a beautiful place to eat and it's an old train station which is really cool!
