Sawmill Inn Restaurant & Pub

This is our family's new favorite. It's worth the trip for us to experience the rustic atmosphere and amazing service. All the food was homemade from quality fresh ingredients which really shines compared to many other restaurants. Serving sizes are huge so prepare to take some home for a midnight snack. The staff was amazing and super friendly. The owner came to the table to check on us twice during our visit which we found to be very impressive. We could not have been happier and will absolutely be coming back as often as we can. Great experience at a fair price.

I had southwestern salmon with rice pilaf, and snap peas and a side of chili and it all was delicious. Our server was great and food came out fast.

What a WONDERFUL dining experience ! Not only was the food excellent, but our server, Katie D., was second-to-none. She was very engaging, communicative and enjoyable to talk with...and she knew how often to come back and check on us so as not to be intrusive.

My wife and I shared an order of Battered Green Beans ( I seriously could have only ordered these and would have been more than happy ) and I had the Sawmill Chicken Roller ( minus the tomatoes and with crunchy chicken ) with rice pilaf and savored every. single. bite. It was so good that I made a point to ask Katie to tell the cook / chef that the food was amazing and that I really enjoyed what they had prepared.

To close this out, the food, in combination with the superb service from Katie, made this an *EXCEPTIONAL* experience. I can't recommend this place enough...and I know that we'll be back as soon as we're in the area again !!

A family-friendly atmosphere in a cozy supper club vibe. Comfort food for sure. A menu that can pretty much satisfy anyone. Breakfast all day. Burgers, wraps, salads, country fried chicken, and a great Friday fish fry. Service was very personable. Like you are old friends. Today, we had the chicken dinner and a pulled pork sandwich. Both were prepared perfectly. Side portions are generous. No tiny plastic cups of coleslaw here! Baked beans were too heavy on the onions for my wife, but I enjoyed them. Seasoned fries were excellent.
I have loved their fish fry in the past. Especially their German potato salad.
Desserts are a must as well. A house special Sawdust Pie is outstanding. It's kind of a nutty,coconut muffin pie.

Had a great experience at lunch today at the Sawmill Inn. The atmosphere is great, the food was fantastic, and our service was quick and extremely friendly. I ordered the Millie Melt, it tasted very good, with the house chips and a huge pickle wedge, also a small cup of baked beans. My co-worker had the Chicken Caesar Wrap, also the house chips. I would strongly recommend stopping here. I am looking forward to stopping in again soon.

The atmosphere was calm and laid back. You don't feel the bustle and rush like you do in chain restaurants.

There is plenty of seating and parking and the staff is well trained and knowledgeable in the dishes and meals served.

The food and variety of dishes are excellent. The meals are perfect in that they are well prepared and portioned well. There are appetizers and meals for most preferences.

Enjoyed our dinner here. Luckily a short wait on a Saturday night. Very nice space. Drinks were good and food well done. Pot roast and meatloaf were a hit. French dip just ok. Would go back

I love this restaurant! We always stop here to eat after a visit to Holy Hill. The food is always delicious and feels like home. The staff is always friendly. I highly recommend a stop here! You won’t be disappointed!

After visiting Holy Hill we stopped here for lunch. It was super busy on a Monday! The servers were so nice. The menu had many choices and our food was very good. I recommend trying this little gem out!

Our first time here and wish it was closer to us in Chicagoland as we would eat here all of the time. We ate on the pet friendly deck as we had our dog with us. The food was delicious. Our server DeeDee was the best ! Fast courteous service. DeeDee even made sure our pup had cold water. Beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended

Service is fantastic. They are always friendly, and even if busy, they make contact in a reasonable time frame.

My father and I came here for brunch. I called ahead to order our food ahead of time, so that it was ready when we arrived. The food was amazing, as well as the customer service!

I grew up coming here for breakfast. This was my first time having a fish fry. The decor is awesome and the little touch of a pretzel on the beer is much appreciated. Service is excellent and the food is tasty. I really enjoyed the music playlist as it provided for an uplifting, fun afternoon atmosphere. I highly recommend checking out the Sawmill!

Would have been a 5 but our appetizer was over fried. So nice to have a local place that serves breakfast all day. Staff was also very friendly.
