The Godfather of Morristown

Had nothing but a great experience here. The workers were really nice and provided excellent customer service. The Pizza was really good. Apparently they make their own fresh Mozzarella every day. This was evident with the Margarita Slice. The Sauce was my favorite component of the Godfather Pizza, not to be confused with the Francise Godfathers, where its all commercial, not authentic. The crust reminded me of a more deep dish style Pizza, where there is more crust..Also the crust has more of a regular slice taste and texture than your usual brick oven Pizza as they cook at 500 degrees. All of which make their Pizza unique. They made the cut for the Morris County Tournament of Pizza on the Pizza Hunters App.

Went in after being on the Green (right down the street). They had inside seating spread out nicely during pandemic conditions. Counter guys were super nice and helpful. Jimmy came around to confirm our food was good and see if we had any questions.
The pizza was DELICIOUS - had one pepperoni and one Buffalo chicken slice. You could SMELL the spice in the sauce before you even tasted it - and that first bite was excellent. Flavor bursts with each bite and just an enjoyable slice with fresh ingredients. The sauce was seasoned perfectly, the cheese was fresh and there was a good amount of it. The crust was crunchy and was a little thick (not NY thin and not deep dish thick) but it worked really well. The Buffalo chicken slice had plenty of chicken on it and the Buffalo sauce was strong enough to be enjoyable but not overwhelm the slice. (Nice job striking that balance.)
A great experience located right across the street from the Morristown NJT train station. If you're commuting, it's definitely worth it to stroll over and get a slice, or better yet, grab a whole pie for dinner! (The family will thank you.)

Love Godfathers! One of three great locations. This location is a great BYOB, casual. We've gone for lunch a couple of times and really enjoyed how easy in and out it is with their private garage attached.

Doordashed a 5 cheese pizza from this establishment tonight. i threw it in the oven to heat it up a little bit more and i gotta say it was a really good pie. Will be ordering again!

I stopped in at the perfect time - the pizza was coming right out of the oven. The plain slice I had featured excellent sauce and a fluffy, bready crust. The cheese was a bit on the greasy side, but the slightly sweet sauce balanced things out. The slice also featured a crisp base with a good structure. I would be remiss if I didn't comment on the friendly staff, the fast service, and the lovely seating area inside. It looks like a great spot to sit down and have a meal with family or friends. Overall, I enjoyed the slice and would happily return.

I understand that opinions are very subjective, but with a place like godfather, that has consistent, amazing food, pizza, sandwiches, and entrées the negative reviews really affect a person from being apprehensive of trying a great place like this. All I’m telling anybody who reads my review, just give it a chance and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

We placed an order through door dash and when my food got delivered they had forgotten to give the dasher the salad. They offered a refund which was fine but we did say we said we were disappointed and really wanted the salad but understood. A little while later, the salad and a fresh pizza arrived with an apology for the situation. We were very impressed by their customer service and will definitely order from there again. And the food is great as well!

Get the homemade pasta! Great place to go with you family. Little hot or loud depending on where you sit.

Godfather is a stable go-to for exceptional catering and the best pizza. Definitely recommend. If they get an order wrong they make it right.

The pizza selections were good. BYOB is a huge plus. We had a large group, including 6 kids, and they handled us expertly. Everyone was pleased with the pizzas (we ordered around 10). The best part was how reasonable the price was. Will definitely be back.
10/2 Update: adding a star. I don't know how this place isn't packed at all times. You are missing out on great service and extremely reasonable prices for the food you get. This is now my go to place when I have a group. They could not be more accommodating. Go!

Love, love, love this place. Haven't tried the pizza but everything we have tried is delicious. Ceasar salad, stuffed mushrooms, eggplant parm, chicken panini, lasagna, pepperoni Stromboli....all amazing. Can't wait to try something else. Everyone is very nice. BYOB with a liquor store next door but it's closed on Mondays so bring from another liquor store or walk across the street.

They are wonderful! I placed a large order to celebrate a promotion last Thursday and they were on point. They delivered it to the hospital for all 3 shifts, made it simple, and were very accommodating. Not only that, the pizza is phenomenal! I would strongly recommend this place!

We pulled off a last minute graduation party yesterday with the help of Godfather. We called less than 24 hours in advance and had tip top quality. Food was excellent - all our guests raved. Driver was spot-on punctual, clean-cut and polite. All accessories supplied. Fantastic food. Highly recommend!

Very solid and consistent pizza. Order it thin crust for an experience closer to NYC style.

Excellent outdoor dining experience for dinner. Food was incredible and our server Dan was awesome. Highly recommend!

Update: I have also had delicious take out and highly recommend the Thai chili chicken pizza with a jerry salad.

I love the Godfather in Morristown (and East Hanover too!) all the food is fantastic - it's my favorite pizza in the area, and their other options on the menu are great too! Pick up is always quick, and I've ordered a few times for the office I work at and delivery is always on time.

All the employees are super nice too.

The one time that we had lunch here was during a terrible storm, and the power went out. they gave us our pizza for free which was so nice !!!

Stopped in to pick up some pizza for my son. He's at that stage where he only eats one thing lol. Place looks very clean and up to date. The guys behind the counter are super friendly. They will try to make sure you leave happy. Like the guy who came in to pick up his order and noticed he ordered incorrectly. They tried to fix it as best they could. They have TVs of you want to dine in and watch a game. The pizza was delicious and I will be a returning customer.
