The food is amazing! I never new about this cuisine and I'm glad I found about it! The staff is really friendly and you can tell how excited they are for everyone to try this new dinner menu! We will be going back again!

The best lentils, shiro & spinach you’ll find in NJ!! Mouthwateringly delicious. The avocado & tomato salad was an excellent compliment to the main dishes. Highly recommended!

Wow the Eritrean dinner was insane!!! SO good. I’ve been waiting for a place that serves amazing food like this in Morristown- so delicious!! Also I realized I didn’t get a chance to snap a picture because I ate it all too quickly. Food was so good I immediately went to Google to write a review which I normally don’t do.

Also the staff was super nice about accommodating my order. A must try for sure!

We went to the Creamery/Cafe for a late lunch at 1 O'clock today.
Although their Eritrean menu says available by reservation 5 to 8 pm. we were able to order from the dinner menu.
Service was prompt and very friendly.
The Eritrean food was novel and delicious.
Many, varied, interesting items to choose from.
A pleasant contrast and relief from the usual hamburger, steak, pizza, sushi, etc. choices at most other restaurants in the Morristown area.

YOU MUST GO HERE FOR DINNER!!!!!!! Not only is this the only place nearby serving East African food, it is so good that it is akin to food heaven! The staff are incredible! And for dessert you can get amazing homemade ice cream! So please please please do yourself a favor and try the Eritrean food! You will not be disappointed!

My favorite ice cream place in downtown Morristown.
They have a decent amount of different flavors.
The chocolate is excellent. They are very creamy with the perfect sweetness.
They also serve food and coffee.

So many creative ice cream flavors to choose from! Friendly staff, big scoops and absolutely delicious ice cream. No complaints!

Such delicious Eritrean food and a great vibe!! I had the chance to visit the first week as the new family of owners worked through their new menu — delicious food and I know this will be a huge addition to the Morristown scene. I hadn’t had Eritrean food before and it was delicious! Similar to Ethiopian with great injera bread. The chickpea and chicken dishes were my favorite. I am glad they are keeping the ice cream side of the business too — that’s long been a Morristown favorite.

The South Street Creamery—or, as most people in Morristown refer to it, simply, The Creamery—is a very good option for lunch or dessert. I usually get a margarita pizzette for lunch and a special, home-made flavour of ice cream called Grandma’s Kitchen for dessert. Grandma’s Kitchen is a flavour with a vanilla base, caramel, edible, raw cookie dough, and small chocolate chips. I often get a Grandma’s Kitchen milkshake instead of traditional ice cream. All of these options are delicious and usually an amount of food which fits my appetite. Crêpes here are also delicious!

TIP: Lunch goes from 11am to 3pm here and can be very crowded, so go early or come here just for dessert. You can eat outside on the benches if the weather is nice.

Best ice cream I have had! Get the graham cracker ice cream!

Probably the best ice cream in town and the immediate area. Quality of the cream is consistently smooth and they have a bunch of varied flavors. Plenty of space inside and the location is great for a quick lap up and down south st while walking off the ice cream. Our go-to.

My guest ordered turkey club. Came without Bacon, ask for bacon. They came out with a plastic monkey cup full of bacon bits?!? Other than that food good, chai tea good.

I’m not usually a big ice cream person, but this place has such great flavor combos that I’m stoked to go back. I loved that they have a wheelchair accessible entrance and spacious layout to make it easy for all wheelchair users. I’ll have to go back for their pastries, they looked beautiful behind the counter. I tried the Oreo coffee ice cream and it was perfect!

Creamy, excellent icecream. They used to have a pure pistachio icecream that I couldn’t find anywhere else. That made me a regular customer. After change of ownership this variety has bitter almond flavor which mars absolutely suppresses pistachio flavor. But it has real pistachio, a treat hard to find.

They have many flavors, all creamy. Staff is very pleasant and patient while customers take some time to choose since all of them are good.

You wish they had a few more sugar free options than just vanilla

Delightful Gelato Experience!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Creamery today! The gelato was divine – I opted for Kahlua gelato with coffee beans which was rich but not overkill. My wife loved her maple gelato, which had the perfect balance of sweetness. I'm not normally a maple fan but it was really quite nice. We were lucky to snag a sunny spot by the window to enjoy our treats.The prices were incredibly affordable for such high-quality gelato. It's not often you find a place where you can treat your taste buds without breaking the bank. We will be back!

Cute spot with delicious ice cream

Seriously some of the best ice cream I've ever had, and I've had ALOT of ice cream in my life. The chocolate raspberry truffle was so delicious, as was the Kahlua ice cream and grandma's ice cream, the ingredients taste so fresh, I highly recommend it!

My daughter really loved the ice cream and the young men and women that were serving us were personable and courteous. I had their watermelon ice and it was absolutely delicious! I get it with a doppel of vanilla ice cream which adds a creaminess to the ice and it was delicious! Highly recommend!!!

Unplanned, we happened to try the South Street Creamery as we were in the area. It has become one of our favorite ice cream shops. The flavor choice selections and portions were huge - well worth their same-as-others prices. We even make the 45 minute trip, summer or winter, it is so good.
