Anthony's Pizzeria & Family Restaurant

Even though Google says they open at 11 am. I called to push my luck and to my surprise they were open and I called them at 10:30 am! The owner of the restaurant Anthony picked up the phone. He is the most sweetest man I have ever spoke with on the phone. This is my first time ordering a huge order for my work place and he helped me plan everything and I was so nervous to because it's my first ordering for my work place and trying out NJ pizza. I only know NYC pizzas lol. I am getting off topic here. I highly recommend this place for anyone. They are so welcoming and you can definitely tell they care about their clients needs. Their pizzas is just as good as NYC.

Top notch establishment. Comfortable, casual, and delicious. Humble ownership that made it feel like you were visiting family for a meal.

Love this place. Used to go there as a kid. Stopped there the other night and the pizza was just as good as I remember. Fantastic plain slice.

Stopped and ate on the family restaurant side of Anthony’s on a drive back to New York from Pennsylvania.

And I am glad we did. The service was friendly and prompt. The atmosphere was welcoming.

We ordered two minestrone soups, a Stromboli, and basked ziti with ricotta and sausage.

The minestrone was fantastic and warming on a chilly March day. It was also a generous portion, which appears to be a theme here.

The Stromboli was delicious. The side of tomato sauce had a touch of sweetness and was the perfect partner to the ham, cheese, and baked dough.

The ziti was massive and we could only appreciate a few bites before we asked for a container to take the rest to go.

Will definitely be back to try the cracker pizza!

Best pizza in town and out. we usually get the combo with anchovies on the side. Enjoy 😉 They are very honest and kind.

Ate two pies this weekend, and both didn’t disappoint. Amazing food. Grew up eating this pizza, and the taste and quality has not changed a bit. Keep up the good work team!

Great food and excellent pizza from a long time family business.

We moved practically across the street a couple years ago and we order here frequently. Amazing service, amazing pizza. Tried everything else in this area and nothing compares. It’s great to know this is the place my little ones will grow up to. A really cute spot to dine in as well, window seats provide great people and car watching. My 3 yo was entertained the whole meal!

The BEST Stuffed Pizza I have ever had. One slice is was a meal, full of flavor.

Excellent family pizza restaurant with a full Italian menu. The food is fresh and well prepared and portions are huge. BYOB with a convenient liquor store next door. Prices are typical and reasonable. Plenty of seating available

We have always loved the food from Anthony's... Consistently excellent. And then to top it off, Anthony hosted my daughter's girl scout troop for a FREE pizza making class. He and his staff were absolutely wonderful with them and created a lasting memory. The girls left with a free kit to make another pizza at home, which my daughter loved doing with her dad, and a toy. I was blown away by the generosity and kindness. Thank you, Anthony! This is a small business to stand by!

We used to go to Anthony’s years ago until we moved down south. Best food we have ever had!! Flounder Francesi, eggplant rollitini, pizza, salad dressing! It doesn’t matter it was all so delicious. Wish we had the recipes. Miss your food so much!!

Good price for the amount of food you get (large portion sizes in my opinion). I got a small/regular baked ziti and it took me 3 days to finish it. We also enjoy the calamari. We’ve tried other places in Rockaway and this place is always a good option to go to.

My parents have been going on dates here for many years. Today we had my sister's baby shower here and the service was absolutely wonderful. Thank you guys so much for treating my parents so well over the years and for hosting the party today. Oh of course, DELICIOUS FOOD AND GREAT PORTIONS !

I don't write reviews often, but I had to hop on here and give this place the props it deserves. My husband and I just moved into the neighborhood in December. This is my top go-to place when ordering food. Best catering experience I've ever had. Best penne vodka I've ever had. So far I've had the penne vodka, sausage and peppers, chicken parmigiana, and the eggplant parmigiana. Everything is delicious and consistent each time I order. And they're so nice when I go in and even when I order take out. Never disappoints.

Beyond grateful to Anthony’s Pizzeria for opening his doors on his day off for our Daisy's Girl Scouts pizza making class, The reason I love this town so much.
