Lovey's Pizza & Grill

All you have to do is just order a pie over the phone, get there within 10 minutes, and eat the pie at the store itself (yes, at the store and not to go). And then you will understand the small life joy that is Lovey’s pie straight from the oven with a crunchy undercarriage piled high with toppings.

I don't know what went wrong, but this review went up with the incorrect rating. Corrected it just now.

I should note that I would always give Lovey's a 5-star review. I'm a little remiss because I don't recall doing a review, and I've been getting pizza at Lovey's since I moved to Morris Plains over 28 years ago. Here is a story about Lovey's Pizza quality:

A few years back we had a bad snowstorm that brought down a lot of trees. One came down in my yard and knocked down my power line. Out-of-state power company trucks came in to help repair things, and I had a First Energy (Grrrr!) truck from Indiana parked in front of my house with two technicians just... watching, to be sure the downed hot power line was safe. At dinnertime, we ordered from Lovey's (no power in our kitchen!). I felt it would be bad to get pizza and eat while the power company techs just sat there, so I got them a pizza and some wings from Lovey's. Later, they told me it was the best pizza they'd ever had, and asked where they could get more. So I gave them directions to Lovey's, though I suspect some of this was NJ pizza being generally the best. Later, they bent the rules a bit to help me make the right request to their managers that would allow them to spend the 10 minutes necessary to restore my power much earlier than expecteed.

So Lovey's saved me from a long power outage :-)

I haven't had anything other than pizza here, but the pizza is great, standard NJ-style pizza and it is consistently great every time. They do cupping pepperoni on their pies, which I like.

Started eating at loveys in 2013, been away for a while and they are still making great food at a good price.

I just got 2 plain slices because i needed to be fast and it was simple. Honestly the best plain slices I’ve ever had. Very tasty and the slices were sized very well. I enjoyed it very much. Would recommend.

I live on maple avenue… so it’s nice that every time I go out on a walk that I can go there to get the best pepperoni pizza and garlic bread I’ve ever eaten in my life. Their garlic bread is stuffed with mozzarella cheese, and has the most flavorful taste to it. The pepperoni pizza, is also the best because their little cup-style pepperoni they use are the most flavorful pepperonis I’ve ever tasted. The mozzarella Cheese is super tasty, just the right texture and taste. It’s so convenient that I can get a single slice for like 75¢. And their full pizza is extraordinarily cheep. I give this place 5 stars, as it never disappoints me and my family.

I have been going to Lovey’s‘s for pizza for my family since I moved here in 2008. It is the best pizza in the Morristown area. They also have the best gluten-free pizza.

Easily the best pizza in the area and thats coming from me born and raised in new york 😤😤Theres nothing better than a plain pie and Loveys does it right!!

Just moved to the area and took me a couple months to use my coupon for a free pie. What a delicious pizza! And the service was great. Glad I found a place so close with great pizza :)

We ordered some catering for my sons birthday party and it was great! There was plenty of food, everyone enjoyed it, and the price was reasonable. Would definitely order from them again soon !

This zone of Morris Plains/Morris Township/Morristown isn't short on pizza joints. It is, however short on good pizza joints. Lovey's is the best we have, and yes, I'm willing to die on this hill. Crispy golden brown crust, with the tiny bubbles underneath, as written in the NJ style pizza purity law of 1863. Solid structure, good sauce, and correct aspect ratios. I'm going to clarity, this pie isn't just the best in the area, it stands out as a place I truly love eating at. I can also vouch for the chicken parm sub and pinwheels. Only complaint is if you're dropping in for just a slice the selection can be limited but every style I've had slaps.

Love the food here and the staff is awesome. Definite family vibe. Food-wise, everything is pretty good, but the brown gravy for the fries is ridiculously good. Perfect for dipping your sandwich bread in after - and the bread is top notch as well. It all tastes like home-made.

Initially regretted stopping here upon entry, but I went against my gut and I’m glad I did. The single slice of pepperoni pizza was surprisingly good. The dough was soft yet crispy at the edge, the cheese was great not like some other pizza joints that would make you think your cheese is in fact just cheap chewing gum, and the pepperoni looked fresh, it curls up as it cooks in the oven and pools the tasty and zesty oil right on it, it actually reminded me of fresh authentic Italian pizza.

The establishment itself is small and not very welcoming at all, but I was only there for a quick bite so it is what it is. For what this place is, the fresh single of pizza was all I needed for 5 stars.

Been going here for years. Best pizza around! Favorite is the thin crust Margherita pizza! You have to try it! Huge servings of pasta and sauces. We get that when some of our kids and grandkids are over, as everyone will eat it. Done!

I’ve been living in this area for about 5 years now. Prior to moving to morris plains, I grew up in the caldwells where there is a great Italian spot on every corner. For a while I just thought there was not any great pizza/Italians places in town. We use to always order from another pizzeria in town and I was not impressed at all (I will not mention names). Then after 5 years of living here, someone told me about loveys. I never knew the place across the street from quick check was a Italian restaurant. Well I thought the pizza was a great slice. I am sure pizza review man would give it a 8.2. I was also happy with my seafood dish. I will def Be ordering from loveys from now on!

I ordered pizza from loves for the first time. The pizza was mind blowing. Thin but flakey, just the right amount of sauce and ever bite packed with flavor. Also the workers are extremely friendly and do there job with flying colors. This is a must come to spot for everyone.

I love Lovey's! While there is a wait sometimes, the food makes it totally worth it. They have great food, as well as some dessert options that are truly amazing. Lovey's has a great Grandma's Pie, and their cheese pizza is also good. Overall, I would totally recommend this place!

Absolutely top notch pizza and wings. They recently catered a friend's party, and all the food was great. I've been going to Lovey's for years and will continue to do so.

Excellent food and quick service. Best pizza around, sandwiches and specials are always on point. Love their Italian hot dogs! Great food at a great value. We drive 20 mins to get take out from Lovey's. Highly recommended.
