Merzatta

A friend referred me to Danielle to create a birthday present for my mother's 70th. We did a video consult, I mailed her some older pieces I had and she did an amazing sketch and went to work. My mother was blown away. Can't thank her enough!

I'm not sure how to begin to describe the magical experience that was designing my engagement ring with Merzatta. It started when Danielle suggested that we touch base before I start researching engagement rings and it ended when I realized I couldn't imagine trusting anyone else with the process. I sent Danielle dozens of Instagram and interest posts and she helped me articulate why I loved some things and hated others, helped me strike the balance between unique and timeless, romantic and edgy. She talked me down when I had engagement ring nightmares and hyped me up when I was scared that my fingers were too fat. After Danielle sourced potential diamonds my fiance and I took a weekend trip to Morristown and spent the day trying on diamonds, eating delicious food, drinking Turkish coffees, and getting opinions and insights from the fans, customers, and visitors of Merzattaland. Danielle and Chris kept me engaged when I wanted a say in the process -- sharing 3D printed models and CAD mock-ups and kept things quiet when I  wanted an element of surprise. The fact that all of these memories are housed in this beautiful piece of jewelry that is uniquely mine is a gift in itself and the fact that I get to wear it every day is a dream for which I am endlessly grateful.

The store is magnificent. The jewelry , beside beautiful by itself, is presented so carefully around the natural materials it was inspired or derived from! The additional art such as bags and pottery are such a fun way to support other artists and give them a space , that you’ll find yourself walking out with a mug or two and two new pieces of jewelry.... and you’ll feel glorious. Danielle , Chris and their team are helpful , detailed and inspiring. I purchased several pieces and am far from done extending my Merzatta collection! Love the store and their art. Highly recommend stopping in.

Today, I had the most inspiring experience at Merzatta in Morristown! The store is literally a chic gallery filled with unexpected jewelry designs and many treasures such as unique wall art, pottery, handbags, scarves and fun!! Before making 2 significant purchases (gifts for dearest friends) I tried things on, marveled at the gorgeous wrist cuffs and put on rings that are museum pieces, crafted in ancient times. This is not just a jewelry shop, but rather a portal to an imaginative place filled with charm, beauty and smiles!! I loved my experience as well as my purchases. I'm working on my Merzatta wish list...

My Merzatta jewelry pieces are the most beautiful and versatile I own. Danielle and Chris are incredibly thoughtful with not only their own work, but with the artists and pieces they fill their shop with. I highly recommend visiting this place not only for the stuff, but the friendly vibes too!

I fell in love with the beautifully designed jewelry from Danielle and Chris Merzatta several years ago and am so excited that this bricks-and-mortar store has come into being in Morristown. This store is filled with amazing organic, silver and gold pieces, and some seriously cool oxidized work! And, some gorgeous, one of a kind, Milestone earrings that I go home and dream of owning sometime! Also, The Artist Baker is only a few doors away, so you can stop in there for coffee and baked goods after shopping at Merzatta.

Love this fabulous shop — many different artists are represented and the staff were welcoming and helpful. I went specifically to see Merzatta jewelry; Danielle was amazing and helped me select pieces that I treasure.

I am so amazed by the creativity and beautiful collections at Merzatta. I had a design vision for a special piece but needed that extra support when moving into creating it. Danielle is so creative and excels in understanding the complexities of custom jewelry design and fabrication. My wishlist grows longer every time I visit their site!

One of the few silver linings of covid was leading me to Merzatta, whose jewelry designs are made by the owners & inspired by nature. Danielle has helped me evolve my taste in jewelry from inexpensive costume jewelry that I didn’t wear much, to pieces that she helps me choose mindfully. All of the jewelry I’ve purchased (& there have been quite a few!) are thoughtful & I wear them often. They have great gifts at various price points, including handbags, pottery/ceramic, artwork & quilts/pillows. In addition, she will help reinvent vintage pieces so I’ll wear them & think of family members who owned them when I do!

Danielle and Chris Merzatta are an incredible team in life and in business. Both are masters of their craft from concept to design to execution. I’ve had the privilege of following and collecting Danielle’s work for close to 20 years, and Merzatta jewelry is a pleasure and a joy to behold, wear, and own. Go see them in person at their Merzatta Morristown location on Cattano Ave to see their jewelry for yourself. There’s something for everyone from their core collection, their one-of-a-kind pieces, and custom jewelry design (reimagined heirlooms, anyone?). Their charming gallery is also stocked with carefully curated artisan objects from makers hailing from all over the globe. If a virtual visit is more your speed, you can make a private shopping appointment to do that, too! A great way to connect over art while distanced by geography.

In an age when everything seems so mass produced, it is so refreshing to see two artists working so hard at their craft. I have been wanting to buy a diamond slice necklace for awhile because they are so beautiful, but each diamond slice is so unique. It adds the perfect amount of sparkle to make me feel polished no matter what I am wearing.

Going to Merzatta’s store in Morristown is a similar experience to wearing my necklace...so many organic and rustic elements all presented so beautifully polished. I enjoy just being in her store and I see something new each time I go!

In my time of need for a Saturday afternoon wedding, the folks at Merzatta near our hotel, were so accommodating by fixing my necklace. It was hard to walk out without buying something as the selection was unique and fantastic. Will definitely visit again when I have more time to purchase jewelry. Thank you to the team for your patience and graciousness in helping me.

I usually HATE going to jewelry stores. The awkwardness, the expectation of buying something shiny “that your wife will just LOVE!” We spent probably 2 hours with Danielle talking about how the pieces were made, her inspirations for the pieces. It was a fascinating discussion about nature and plants and process and metallurgy. And then she started showing us videos of how other artists make their pieces that were also in the shop. Danielle was so engaging and genuinely interested in us and what we found interesting. I came away excited (about what we picked out) and inspired to spend bit more time on my own creative outlets.

Danielle is so talented. Her store is one of my favorite things about Morristown. She takes the time to talk with you and share the story of her jewelry, that really are like wearing individual pieces of art. I would recommend getting a gift here to anyone!

Chris & Danielle Merzatta are some of the kindest and most creative people I have the pleasure of knowing. I've been a client of theirs for 6 or 7 years now. It's easy to say I love their work: their passion for the natural world is evident in their carefully curated sources of inspiration (their palm, pine cone, and deer horn cedar lines are my current favorites). As a client, I also appreciate their attention to detail, insistence on quality (both in design and execution), and their always-thoughtful customer service. Anything you purchase from them, whether it's something from their core collections, a one-of-a-kind or custom piece, or one of the several brands they carry in their brick-and-mortar store (Kim Schalk, Maya Kini, Bembien, Wes & Gold, etc.), you're sure to come away feeling inspired, strong, and seen. I also feel good knowing that my Merzatta purchases are fair trade and that their business intentionally supports women and minorities!

Merzatta is the go-to place for hand-crafted jewelry you can’t find anywhere else. At least, I can’t find anywhere else. I have purchased unique gifts for my wife to celebrate Mother’s Day, birthdays, and just to say I Love You. The owners are so friendly and go the extra mile to make sure the gift I choose is perfect. Mazatta is a stunning store! They have an absolutely beautiful selection of jewelry and other sweet items to check out. Perfect for gift giving (especially love their “wish list” concept, ask them about this!). And amazing quality store.

Merzatta makes some of the best jewelry in the country -- they've won the top awards at prestige shows in multiple states -- but when you pick up their rings, earrings, cuffs or necklaces, you don't need an award to tell you how beautiful it is -- cast from natural shapes like seafan and sweetgum, sliced and carved to reveal the incredible patterns hidden within. All their gorgeous work is made in the Morristown studio, and now they've also got 4 Cattano,
which carries their own work as well as a selection incredibly well-curated American craft, culled from the best of the best of their fellow jewelers, woodworkers, and fabric artists. All of it's handmade, most of it is one-of-a-kind, and every single piece, of Merzatta's own work, or of their curated artists, will change your life for the better.

The jewelers at Merzatta are outstanding. The attention to detail in their work and on your needs are out of this world. The customer service they provide make you feel as if you’re talking to long lost best friends that take care of all your needs. A wonderful family and a great team!

Amazing talent! I can't wait to check out their store, Danielle is a wonderful talent. She made a special piece for my daughter in law. The time, care and skill that went into it was remarkable. She loves what she does and it shows in the gorgeous work! Highly recommend!!
