Miss Danielle and Miss Rita have been teaching our eldest child for the last 3 years and our other child this year. I have seen phenomenal growth in both kids due to the excellence of this G&T program created by them. This program is unmatched as it is a fast paced curriculum; however you only advance when you meet the criteria to advance to the next level. Both kids started in 2nd grade and the core foundation taught especially in the English language art(ERA) is instrumental to understand and write in all styles of writing. We are so happy with Heroes Academy that we drive 1 hour each way to give our children the best possible education here in NJ.

Heroes Academy is a great, well made school that educates children at a higher level. It has an inviting learning environment and works with students as well as parents to provide the best quality education for gifted students. This school also contains some of the finest teachers in the state that will work with students to help them with any issues they may encounter, and instead of telling the students about random concepts, they allow the students to figure out for themselves how certain concepts work and work around the clock to give children the best education possible.

Heroes Academy is a fantastic experience for my daughter. When they say accelerated, you better believe it. She is 5th grade and she is learning 7th grade math. Rita can work with your child and cover two grades in one year. She has become more confident and more self reliant due to skills practiced at the academy. Sure, there is a lot of homework, but it's worth it, considering that you can be sure that your child is basically guaranteed to be on the top of her class, since she has already put in a lot of work at a higher level. My daughter performs better than even most of GT kids in her school. Although I have enough expertise to teach her all the levels of math myself at home, it isn't as exciting for her as going to class where Rita makes it fun and competitive. This isn't your typical tutoring service. This is for kids who want to learn at a quicker pace, and think on a deeper level, and for parents who want their kids to be truly proficient and advanced.

My kid initially wanted to go to the HEROES Academy because his cousin, in a higher grade, had been going there for a while and that I’m sure must have influenced. His cousin was selected in his school’s Talented and Gifted program so I knew it was a positive influence!

The HEROES Academy was a bit far from our home, however, having tried a few other and well-known learning centers before--where making my kid want to go there was a constant struggle--we gave it a try anyway. At the HEROES, the teacher challenges his abilities to the next level and the progression only happens if the concepts are fundamentally clear and demonstrated in the coursework. To my surprise, we no longer have to struggle and my kid looks forward to going there every week, in spite of the homework that he has to do in addition to the school homework. The best thing is that my kid’s perception of Math has changed from “I don’t like Math” to “Math is my favorite subject.” If you think your child is gifted or talented, give HEROES Academy a try and surround your child with other gifted or talented kids to excel and get his or her best potential out.

HEROES provides the environment you are looking for your kids . It provides depth in a subject which is lacking in our schools and other outside enrichment institutes. Initially they come across very rigid , if you have the patience you will understand & appreciate the rigidness . They know what they are doing & customize it to your child needs. Kids enjoy learning and crave for more as a challenge. It’s not just language arts & math your child will be learning at HEROES but they will get holistic approach towards learning.

HEROES Academy is absolutely, absolutely the best place to go if you or your child is gifted or talented (or both). As a student here at HEROES who is enrolled in both Essay Writing II and Honors Algebra, I can honestly say this is one of the best experiences of my life! The teachers are incredibly hands-on, teaching you everything you need to know.

The Essay Writing II programs is incredible! We have a small class, but this isn't a difficulty - in fact, it just provides more learning opportunities as a class. We are a very tight-knit group and each class is filled with an equal amount of fun and education. Ms. Danielle, the teacher, is very hands-on and will provide a great source of information for a child if they require any sort of help. If anyone were to ask me for a program for their gifted and talented child, I would completely and honestly reply, "HEROES Academy For The Gifted." All in all, this is great class for accelerated Language Arts students and I would recommend it to anyone out there who isn't afraid of good, hard work!

Just like the Language Arts programs, the Math programs are amazing. As a student taking Honors Algebra, I could genuinely state that I learn more in a single class than I learn in a whole school week. The teacher, Mrs. Rita, doesn't only teach random ways to do things and other random theorems and facts. Her main goal is to get the students to get why the property works - not just memorizing each property and examples of that property. In math, we have a whole learning environment that mainly consists of teaching and learning. Again, I would genuinely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good, hardworking class.

Finally, I would like to state that this is such a great program for any gifted and talented child. For any child that is interested, I recommend you immediately research further - you will find many hidden nuggets of information any child would find interesting!

I would truly, without anyone pushing me on to say this, recommend this program to anyone who believes their child is not being pushed hard enough in school. This is truly a great learning environment for children who are not afraid of a good, long session of learning.

Just remember, a good, diligent work ethic can make all the difference!

In 2014, my wife and I learned that my 5-year-old daughter was academically gifted. While my initial response was that of pride and jubilation, I soon came to understand how difficult it would be to get my daughter a proper education that is commensurate with the unique skills and talents that she presents. Even in well-known and respected private schools, advocating for a gifted child is challenging. Many teachers and administrators point to behavioral challenges, maturity deficiencies, and knit pick any knowledge shortfalls (albeit with above-grade level content) are just a sampling of the challenges that parents like us faced in an effort to get Sahara the services and academic rigor that she needs and deserves.

When we found HEROES Academy in 2014/2015, we were very excited. However, we were told that we had to clear the Academy’s daunting enrollment threshold (i.e., testing at either 4th grade Math and/or Reading levels on the NWEA MAP test). Amazingly, my daughter tested in and met these requirements as a 6-year-old 1st grader.

Over the past 5 years, my daughter has experienced academic, social and emotional growth with the guidance and structure of HEROES Academy. Not only has her academic needs been met, HEROES really goes the extra mile to identify any shortfalls in her math and language arts knowledge, and partners with us to tailor challenges that help our child grow in her own unique way.

Of course there are occasional bumps in the road when dealing with smaller, less-structured organizations. However, I have seen the small size and nimble staff to be a positive in providing my daughter a personalized educational experience tailored to her unique strengths and challenges. My daughter’s growth as a scholar and person has been tremendous, and HEROES has played a significant role in that growth.

Heroes has been transformative for our daughter. Her experiences there (science, math and language arts) have energized her and inspired her to go deeper into learning. She continues to apply the knowledge and skills she has acquired at Heroes in many facets of her life inside and outside of school. Much gratitude and admiration to Rita and Danielle for building a fantastic institution. As my daughter said, "I wish all of school could be like Heroes."

We are thankful to have found Heroes Academy for Camille’s academic growth. Ms Danielle and Ms. Voit methods are engaging, challenging and creative. The challenge each activity provides help in her emotional growth too. Camille always looks forward to Ms. Voit’s engaging math puzzle adventures and Ms. Danielle’s word puzzles.

Not only does HEROES provide one of the highest and unique levels of enrichment education, it encourages academic excellence and development. As parents, we believe these values play a significant role in building character and developing friendships. Our son has benefited greatly from the science environment that stimulates and feeds his creativity. Thank you Rita, et al for providing a wonderful experience for our future scientist.

Heroes Academy is a great place. I have improved greatly in the time I have been here. There accelerated math class is really good and based on your capacity, not on your grade. If you looking for a way to go above and beyond, this is the right place for you.

This is the best place ever for children who would like to accelerate their learning. The classes will make sure that kids understand what they are doing. All of the kids have a great time, and everyone will come out of their class with a lot learned.

The Classes are very helpful. They teach and explain every concept thoroughly. Even in quarantine, classes continued and things went well.

Parents stay away from this place.!!!!. The website says that if you take the diagnostic test on certain days you get a refund back of 25 dollars. Its been four months and am still waiting for the refund. I called them multiple times. everytime they say they are looking into it. Thats not all, the report which they give after taking the test is a 2 line report just saying which class she should be enrolling in their place. its a standard NWEA map diagnostic test . the least they can do is provide us the kid scores considering they charge 100 dolars for administering the test. Also They want us to pay additional 100$ if you want a detailed report. Overall its a badly run place. they are extremely rigid and everything has to be done their way which is funny considering they advertise that they cater to gifted kids who need a different accelerated tailored learning pattern.
there are other better options available for same price.

Had a really bad experience with testing process and honestly I don’t feel they are here to help it’s more of a scam. I didn’t feel teacher were enthusiastic or ready to help my son with learning I would stay away from them
