Giovanni's Salumeria

Giovanni is a great man with a great business. He is the definition of customer service and customer appreciation. It was my first time coming into his business and he set the bar high for the rest of the businesses in Bayonne. All of the meats are fresh and imported from Italy 🇮🇹. I recommend anything on his menu!!! Thank you Gio for everything, see you soon my friend.

phenomenal! a must visit ! Love every item on the menu. super delicious and flavorful ! Every thing from food dishes and sandwiches perfection ! Must try their tictok sandwich —mind blowing! Fresh ingredients always homemade. And the owner and his family/staff are absolutely sweet, attentive, funny and kind — it feels like family when you walk in there. Gio is absolutely amazing this is a must stop destination. Trust me you would love it.

Best sandwich in town. Home made roast beef is my go to, the balsamic they use on it is fanatic. Go hungry, the smallest sandwich is 12". If you get a "Full" sandwich, it's at 24".
I have and will go out of my way to stop in Bayonne on my way home to grab a sandwich here.

Giovanni’s never disappoints & ALWAYS hits. Their bread is great & fresh, cold cuts are always fresh and cut to perfection. Beyond their amazing sandwiches, the vibe is always great. The owner & all the guys in the shop are friendly and you feel like you’re ordering from friends. Moving soon & we will miss this place - will always come back when I’m in town. My wife loves their fresh mozz & their bread gets another mention because it’s really that good.

Not only are the sandwiches amazing, but customer service is also fantastic! This place rocks and ranks in my top 3 sandwich places, which is big! This is the best bread I have had in my entire life 🙀 Yup, I said it!
With that said, I will definitely be back.

5 stars across the board . My wife and I went in today for our fav deli in jersey . I had the roast beef and fresh mozz . She had turkey/mozz/banana peppers. Everything from the bread to the meat to the cheese is stellar . Highly recommend this place . 10/10

A friend of mine turned me on to this place, I don’t live in the area, but when I’m around I make a point to stop. The freshest sandwich and food I have ever had. By far some of the best I have ever had outside of Sicily.

Owner is very friendly, service is fast and diligent.

I love the owner Giovanni and the staff. They have the best mozzarella around. When I want a great sandwich, this is where I go. They have Choice meats, the bread is crispy and delicious. They also have some great hot food choices. If you've never been to Giovanni's Solareria, then you must try it

This place is amazing very old school guys here which make it feel like home the food is nothing short of excellent . I had a meatball parm sandwich but the cleck made sure I tried some homemade fresh mozzarella 😋 and a chicken cutlet before the sandwich was made. Kinda gave me the old Italian holiday vibe where they feed you from the time you walk in till the time you leave.

Can’t believe I lived here 4 years and haven’t tried this spot, finally got to today and I got chicken parm sub and my girl got the roast peppers and tomato sub and they were both amazing best Italian subs in jersey and the family is great, Giovanni is a great guy and awesome conversation thanks boys.

THE BEST SUB SHOP ON THE EAST COAST!!!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! The food is so amazing as well as the customer service! Serigo is very kind & always has great recommendations! This place is a must go if you’re in the area!

By far, the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had. Hands down. No competition. The bread was perfect, the fresh mozzarella was sublime. Everything was fresh. The staff was amazing, even coming outside of the shop to confirm my order. I tipped on the grub hub app, but was so taken back by how awesome they were that I tipped in cash as well. We found our new favorite sandwich spot. Thank you guys so much!

These beauties are massive. The bread is fluffy, crunchy, pillowy and perfect. Everything is fresh and fabulously stacked. Ty for the potato salad, macaroni salad (my favorite!!) and the decadent mousse cake, Giovanni! We will stop in next time!

After many years in the area I finally made it here. Fresh, fresh mozzarella, ham and roasted peppers on fabulous Italian bread. This small sandwich could feed two or three. As the owner told me " you will be back"!!!!

Very welcoming and engaging totally appreciated us as first timers from Vancouver BC. Sandwiches are out of this world lots of fillings and flavour. A must if you’re in Bayonne

It just doesn't get any better than Giovanni's! Absolutely the best sandwich I've ever had. The staff is fantastic and a joy to interact with. I was on my way home to Minnesota today and it was a must stop before heading to the airport. Please take the time to visit Giovanni's....you will not be disappointed!!!

The food here is always off the charts. Everything is so good and tasty during the week. He always has food specials that are fantastic. I highly recommend them for lunch or dinner.

Delicious #4 sandwich! Drove about a half hour to pick up a sandwich. The owner helped and even gave us free samples of their fresh mozzarella and chicken cutlet pieces! The sandwich was awesome, fresh and served on homemade bread—can’t wait to return! Thanks Giovanni for the excellent experience all around 😋
