I personally have great experiences every time I visit this salon. My hair is soft, silky, and I like the cut a lot even though I'm trying to grow it out again. The haircut in the photos from the negative review IS U-shaped, so maybe that person needs to learn their letters again? LOL.

She is great!

I scheduled an appointment with Mercedes and specifically requested a haircut with a U-shape and several layers at the bottom, with a pic as an example. I informed her that I would be having professional photos taken for work in a few days.

During the appointment, I did not see the way she was cutting my hair because of how the chair was positioned. She told me she had been in the business for 11 years and I put my trust in her abilities. At the end of the appointment, she had styled my hair in curls and I didn't notice anything strange. The next day, I combed out my hair and realized that my hair wasn't cut the way I requested. It was cut bluntly, with choppy layers at varying lengths. I sent Mercedes pictures of the haircut, called her repeatedly and left her a voicemail to schedule an appointment to fix my hair. She never got back to me (it's been exactly a week and still no follow-up from her). I ended up having to get my hair fixed elsewhere.

My experience at this business was substandard and the lack of follow-up from Mercedes was unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this business.
