Rustic Dartmouth Outing Club cabin. Right on the lake, with access to two canoes and a dock. The woodburning stove keeps it toasty inside even in December. Great spot for a weekend.

immensely peaceful, so many stars, and a lake so clear you can see the fish sleeping at night

Pretty nice cabin managed by DOC, missing one star due to the portable toilet situation (gross inside and has spider web all over). Also no running water, but they do warn you that it might be the case in instruction email. Other than that wood stove worked great, it has all the kitchen supplies, gas stove, 8 beds, 2 canoes and a bunch of board games. It’s 40 mins away from Hanover, behind Dartmouth Skiway deeper in the woods. Plenty of wildlife-besides seeing geese and birds we could hear coyotes howling at night and saw signs of black bear near the cabin.
