Stayed here with my family over the Easter weekend. Room was nice and quiet. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they are all absolutely in the right business - hospitality - we felt well cared for during our stay. The inn is well located at one end of the Lyme green, walk to stores and restaurants, short drive to Hanover.

My fiance and I stayed at The Lyme Inn last May for 7 days and then again last week for 8 days. Both times our experience was nothing short of excellent. The property is clean and very well kept. Whoever decorated for Christmas did a fantastic job. The staff are polite and friendly. The breakfast that is included is top notch. Eggs, bacon, quiche, fresh berries, pancakes, waffles, real maple syrup and more!! Not a cheap continental breakfast. Our room was very quiet and despite the fact that it was extremely cold outside, the inn was nice and warm. I was comfortable walking around barefoot inside as the floors were surprisingly warm. The Lyme Inn is just a very nice place to stay. We will stay there again and are happy to refer our friends and family.

The Elegance of New England is here nestled in the heart of Lyme Commons. We stayed in different rooms , each visit were very pleasant, love the curated art and furniture through the property... Marble Bathrooms, great showers, very comfortable mattress. Breakfast is always delicious, farm to table like... having a wonderful restaurant on site is a big plus, fantastic food & fun libations. Our recent stay during Christmas felt so Homey with their fine Holiday decorations, it felt like home away from home. Totally recommend!!
My Fiancé's relatives are all about 30min drive and we sure choose this to be our home when visiting his parents and relatives.

A delightful hotel in a charming, pretty little village. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the beds clean and comfortable. In fact it was all very pleasant. An especial mention must be made of the scrambled eggs at breakfast, they were wonderful!

Me and my husband recently stayed here on our trip for 4 days and 3 nights. Absolutely beautiful place. Our room was stunning. Everyone was so nice and everything was very clean. The breakfasts in the morning were so delicious. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I stayed there 3 days after visiting our daughter at Middlebury. We soaked up the sights and enjoyed the Inn very much. The entire inn is like staying at your families place on Martha's Vinard. If you had one of those. The town and Inn are a very quiet little slice of American history. We were treated as family while we stayed. We saw lots of leaves, a syrup house, bridges, amazing grave yard's and nice little valleys. We rented electric bikes and explored the amazing architecture of New England. We also had an electric car rental which we were able to charge at no cost the whole stay. Huge bonus! Here is the secret to get the most out of your stay at the Inn...don't tell anybody I told you, but try to have a beer with Jack. As they say, if you don't "you don't know Jack!!" There are great local beers near by too. My favorite was, sip of sunshine! Enjoy

Luxurious accommodations not far from Hanover. I wish I could have transported our room to my own home! We had a spectacular suite with a magnificent bathroom. We did not eat dinner there, but the breakfast was delicious with home made item such as the granola and muffins. Very friendly and professional staff. A real treat to stay here!

Many guests stayed at the Lyme Inn to attend our wedding a few towns over, and we arrived early and stayed for a few nights in advance of the wedding to finalize last minute details. From start to finish, the Lyme Inn is a 5 star experience. Jack, the Innkeeper, bent over backwards to help us out and accommodate our requests. Elizabeth was lovely and helpful throughout as well. The Inn itself is spectacular. It is one of the the most elegant and we’ll appointed places I’ve stayed. Every room was beautiful. Ours in particular, had a massive bathroom with a tub, a working fireplace, and the comfiest bed. Our guests raved about it. We will be recommending this place forever, and plan to return. So do many family members and friends. Thank you so much for everything.

Beautiful spacious room with a lovely view of the Lyme green. Chef Martin prepared an amazing meal, and the service was outstanding! Spotless, seating properly distanced. Every detail was in order to ensure a safe and wonderful dinner and evening getaway.

My husband and I stayed 5 days( Mid. September) in the Garden Room at the Lyme Inn. We loved the location, close to many interesting towns and sites but removed from crowds - just what we were looking for. The staff and accommodations at the Lyme Inn were excellent. Our room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom has marble floors and counters - and a large soaking tub. Our breakfasts included quiche, granola, fruit, yogurt and an assortment of wonderful pastries. A big bonus was the Inn's Ariana's Restaurant. The food and atmosphere were delightful. We would heartily recommend the Lyme Inn to all, who love the serenity of a small town with the benefit of excellent acommodations and dining.

Can't wait to return to the charm of this outstanding New England Inn. It's nestled in a sleepy little town that time seems to have forgotten. It faces a large park area with a monument to war veterans. This will be our 3rd year in a row staying at the Inn which wowed us on our very first visit. The rooms are large with upscale antique furnishings. You can go on their website and select exactly what room you want. Everyone there is extremely friendly. We usually get in a little early which unlike most hotels is no problem for them. The rooms or suites are unique from the floors up. The building is very old, but completely refurbished and totally upgraded, including new marble bathrooms. The shiny pine flooring is solid planks of wood measuring as wide as 16". Clearly built during a time when huge trees could be milled into very wide plank flooring. The Inn has to many unique features to be described here, but we found it truly unique and well worth the price. A nice breakfast is also included with each nights stay.

Awesome inn: nice marriage of quaint B&B style charm and modern amenities. Breakfast buffet was really excellent; not huge but a 2 types of eggs, good bacon, great local English muffins, bagels, and really tasty crustless quiche. Also yogurts, granola, and juices. Rooms clean and staff was courteous.

The junior suite was a large corner room with two large windows on each wall. The room had a large four-post king bed, a gas fireplace, sofa, and desk. The bathroom was very nicely finished in Carrera marble. Unfortunately the on-site restaurant was not open when we were there but we were referred to nearby Latham House Tavern which was very nice. The breakfast with the frittatas was delicious. The house and grounds were impeccable and very cozy. Also the elevator was appreciated after a long drive. My wife and I look forward to a return visit in the future and to experience the on-site restaurant.

Ended up staying here on our way from Burlington to Boston. Good breakfast, nice large clean room with updated bathroom. Host also recommended a nice scenic drive to Franconia Notch and Littleton that we enjoyed.

The Inn staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure that your stay is fantastic! One of the inn keepers came over to greet us at breakfast and helped us with planning our day with activities in the area. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and the decor is great!

What a great find. I was looking for a hotel near Hanover and in the middle of all the listings on expedia, this place showed up. What better way to visit New Hampshire during a blizzard than to stay in an actual old country inn? The staff and accommodations were impeccable. I highly recommend you stay here and don't miss the new restaurant. The Moroccan Lamb stew was one of the best meals I've had in ages.

The Tavern is a gem in the Lyme/Hanover are that I am happy we found. Being new to the area we happened find out about it from some locals as we were disappointingly leaving a nearby place because the wait was too long. The service was very friendly, the food was tasty, the ambiance was great and prices were reasonable. The Happy Hour prices were also a nice bonus!
