North Conway Moose Safari Moose Tour

Wonderful fall tour with great sightings!! Guide was very committed to finding the moose as many times as we could. 4x for us! We have great videos, photos and memories. Thanks!

We saw 6 moose on our tour, possibly seven. (#7 was a calf of some debate.) Elwyn knows where to look, and having a bus full of eyes looking helps too! The bus is comfortable and he's got some good rest stop planned out.
Bring a camera or a phone that takes good night shots- but don't forget to put the gadget down and enjoy with your own eyes!

Just completed my first moose tour ever and YES we saw moose!!!. One even came super close to the bus. The tour was an adventure, we drove all over the place. Saw many great views and even the waterfall as well as other animals. Driver and all of his videos were very informative as well. Learned a lot of new things on this trip. Driver clearly is passionate about his tour and his passengers. Would definitely go again! Thank you for the experience

It was our first ever time going on a moose tour…we were hesitant to go on it at first only because we didn’t think we would see any moose, but our driver Elwyn made it the best experience! We ended up seeing 6 maybe 7 Moose! Driver also plays very informative dvds the whole ride, as well. I definitely recommend!!

We had a GREAT night on the Moose Safari, and highly recommend experiencing the adventure! The bus ride was comfortable/safe and the driver was very knowledgeable and knew where to observe the moose. We had 3 sightings that night - so exciting! Also, the DVD videos played during the drive were extremely interesting, with great photography of moose and NH black bears. I took my family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids ranging from ages 7-13) on the Moose Tour. We had a wonderful time. The driver was very knowledgeable, courteous, and engaging. He explained what we were looking for and what to expect. Although we ended up seeing only 1 Moose on two different passes, we were not disappointed. We came to see a Moose, and we saw one! I've worked in the animal field and I'm very aware that wild animals are wild and behave however they might be feeling. They do not care that people paid money to see them, and they do not care if people get the perfect photo-op. We saw the Moose behind a downed tree, and obviously would have preferred to see it out in a field with the perfect back-drop, but that wasn't in the cards the night we went. But, I've always wanted to see a Moose and I finally did. I truly appreciated the driver's efforts to make sure both sides of the bus got to see the Moose without having to stand over other people. I left the tour feeling very satisfied and so did my kids. My two younger kids both fell asleep after they saw the Moose the first time saying "I've seen a Moose, so now I can sleep the rest of the tour"! We were very pleased and would recommend the tour to others!

Had a great time with Elwyn and his moose “safari” tour on a Wednesday night in late August. This is the second time we have taken this tour, the first was five years ago and we enjoyed it so much we did it again. Elwyn has a new and larger bus now. It takes about an hour to get to where the moose hang out and then we spent about an hour riding along the highways looking for them. We did find a cow and her calf that stayed around for us to get some great pictures and a young male moose who was very camera shy later. All-in-all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will probably take it again in a few years when we vacation back in the White Mountains. Note that Elwyn very specifically tells you that seeing any moose is not guaranteed.

Well I went to the moose Safari for my wife's birthday and when I called the gentleman was kind of rude so I cussed him out but I called back again because we wanted to do the moose tour and things went a little bit smoother when I called again. The driver was very knowledgeable on where to look it is a hike I'm not going to lie That's the furthest I've ever been in New Hampshire up in the mountains it was raining thunderstorms pretty high torrential rain so I didn't think we were going to see any moose at all. After the 2nd break all of a sudden we see two moose the driver said it was twin's so we turn around and we saw them again and he was amazed he never saw this in his life there were three moose a yearling a mother and a buck 😳!!!! He talked to me the whole time He's a funny dude pretty much straightforward and if you want to spend late night in North Conway this is where you want to go because everything shuts down pretty much at 7:00 p.m. GREAT EXPERIENCE I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!!!!

Thanks to Elwyn for a great moose safari! 🫎 We saw 5 moose and a few deer. Great pictures! Some were skiddish but understandable. Great videos and a fun time. Would highly recommend. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you Elwyn!

we saw a moose!!!!! 9/10 experience, was just super tired after the fact. elwin (not sure if i’m spelling it correctly so forgive me) was the best! such a great man. respectful, funny, and dedicated. you could tell he was just as excited as we were when we found the moose! definitely didn’t take the best picture because i was so excited.. but it’s the thought that counts. lol!

Saw 4 moose including cow and baby, this bull moose stuck around so even got photos.Saw a 3rd moose to boot. Tv videos were great and looks to be family friendly.This made our 4th of July weekend.

Elwyn, was our driver and he was great! Knowledgeable, informative, and determined.
Elwyn, made sure we saw moose. It was funny because he was just talking about,”A mother moose & having twins.” We saw three moose, mom & her babies! What an experience. I was teary eyed! Since I was a kid, I always wanted to see one, we got to see three. I actually told more and more people and when my mother visits NH, she wants to do the tour!
We’ll return for sure!

We didn’t think it was gonna happen, but we saw a moose! Ellwyn was amazing. He made sure everyone got a picture and went back and forth so that both sides of the bus could see the gorgeous cow watering by the side of the road. He played documentaries and slideshows as we rode along, which really helped to pass the time. Very enjoyable trip. 10/10 recommend. 😊

Absolutely amazing saw 1 moose in the same spot 4 times and than saw a mom and her baby real quick. Was the best time I've had in awhile. The tour guide is amazing, the whole moose tour is a most see. YOU HAVE TO GO ON THIS MOOSE TOUR

The moose tour with Elwyn has been an annual activity for the last handful of summers. He conducts a fun and informative tour and I have seen multiple moose on most of my trips. His passion for moose and determination to find a moose for his passengers every night is what keeps me coming back each year.

I’ve personally been twice, both times I’ve seen moose. This time I brought my girlfriend for her bday. We didn’t see anything at first and it wasn’t looming too good. Then right at the end we got to see a huge female moose. The driver didn’t give up and tried his hardest and succeeded. He also played very informative DVD’s along with his local knowledge. Very impressed.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We had a great time looking for moose with Elwyn. We saw 4 moose in one night! Mama & baby and yearling twins. It was fun learning so much about moose ways in the middle of the night from a guy with so much experience and familiarity with the area. Can’t wait to do it again. Thanks, Elwyn!

This is our 2nd moose tour. Last year we did not see anything so last nights tour was no charge. I dont know any business nowadays that gives you your money back. Elwyn, our driver, told everyone last night that if they didnt see moose he would refund half of their money. Theres nothing to lose going on this tour. Hes so pleasant and we lucked out and saw a mama and baby. My kids are 13 and 16 and loved it as much as we did. Definitely recommend, it was so much fun. 😊

Tour was supposed to be from 8pm-12am.....since we hadn't seen any as of midnight. Our guide kept going up and down the roads and we ended up seeing 6, including a Cow and twins!!! Would highly recommend.
